76 Fj40 that is fairly complete. What you see is what you get. All parts are just setting on it for pics and not bolted down. Motor is not locked up and turns. I don't know any history on it for previous owner started the work on restoring it. Doors were sand blasted on bottom. Minimal rust on truck and fairly solid starting point. Frame is solid. Up for your considerations is my 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ42 and its RARE. This cruiser is one that was originally in the Outback of Australia and found its way with a hop, skip, and jump to Denver Colorado. I purchased this from the owner in Colorado who only sold it to buy a larger land cruiser. I have had the pleasure of enjoying this beauty for over a year. Along the way I added little items that I felt better suited this legend of a sporty utility. Here is a brief description and I'm sure I have left something out so please call and ask if you have any questions. (406) 788-5998 is my cell. Cruiser is located in Glasgow KY 42141. This cruiser is mechanically sound and runs great. I took the liberty of doing all the mechanicals before I touched the cosmetic issues. I wouldn't be scared to drive this cruiser to Alaska and back. Fuel mileage is around 28mpg if you can keep your foot out of it. :) The turbos on these make a huge difference. Night/day to be more specific. This kit is around $2500 plus installation but worth every penny. The boost can be adjusted but I have it relatively low. Easily monitored with the new boost and egt gauges I installed. The heater will run you out in the winter time which is rare for these land cruisers. New heater core, insulation, and hoses make the difference. I installed the Old Man Emu springs, shocks, bushings and stabilizer to make this the very best possible ride on a land cruiser. Kit alone runs about $1800 plus installation. This cruiser is one attention getter. Now for the cosmetic stuff: This cruiser needs a left and right rear panel and paint it the desert beige once installed. There is rust there so I would replace. I was going to use the cruiser this summer and fix the panels this winter but looks like I won't be getting around to it. The panels can be purchased for about $150 each plus shipping from Cool Cruisers of Texas. They are an easy replacement. There are a few dings and dents here and there but I am all about keeping this cruiser out of the mall parking lot. It belongs off the beaten path. What you see is what you get. I am not trying to hide anything. These things are a tank and a great investment. With proper maintenance they should be the last off road vehicle you will ever buy. This was a true barn find for me for I pulled it out of the barn personally. It spent all of its life in nevada until owner moved to tn. Check out the cool capitol motors inc in reno sticker on the front. I thought that was classic. It does not run and has been setting for many years in the barn. This truck seems very solid for its age, don't get me wrong there is a bit or rust here and there but very easy fixes. I literally bought this truck and drug it home on a trailer and have not had time to touch it. I did spray off with air hose before putting in garage but that's it. It is really dirty still. Lots of surface rust but overall solid. I did get a chance to pull out the seats the other day along with the fuel tank just to check the floorboards, very solid. I was shocked at how solid the bed was give or take a few little spots. Some rust in the rear tailgate. This truck seems to be mostly complete including the hard to find tail light lenses and housing. The seats are in the truck, fuel tank, radiator, one hub cap, radiator shroud, and more.
