The transmission is smooth shifting and the 4 cylinder motor is quite peppy and delivers near 30 mpg's freeway and never needs a timing belt. IT HAS A CHAIN. Smooth shifting for sure and easy on gas is the order of the day. It shows no signs of fading or any other issues. The hood is slightly blotchy in direct sun, still looks great though and we did not want to paint it so we left it alone. Nothing you'd fuss with but we did want you to know. WOW!!! Plus the TIMING BELT was changed less than 13,000 miles ago!!! We also had the oil changed (it didn't even need it!) and a safety inspection performed on this vehicle and the brakes and tires are in great shape. Runs, drives and shifts nicely with no clunking or front end noise. Inside other options include automatic transmission AM/FM cassette/CD player Power windows, locks and side view mirrors ICE cold air conditioner Cruise control Tilt wheel Air bags plus many more! The air blows so cold with Toyotas you have to turn the fan down (works on all 5 speeds) even when it gets to 110 degrees on the heat index here in Fort Myers, Florida. All the electrical equipment works including the cruise control, power windows and even all the speakers on the stereo system. Again the paint is fabulous and the interior is gorgeous including the new mats, carpets, seats, headliner and all the instrumentation.
