1988 Toyota 4 runnerVery solid 4runner!! The good- No Rust Georgia truck! New auto transmission and transfer case with warranty (see pix) at185k miles (around $3000)- New timing belt and accessory belts last year, didnt hook up the ac belt- New plugs and wires - Newer carpet- Aisin manual hubs - When I change the oil every 3k the oil is still brown. Says to me that the rings are good, maybe rebuild prior to my ownership. Runs great approx 198k miles I have all new front end parts ball joints pitman arm and so on, just not installed.Rear window works!Its my daily driver, never left me stranded! 3in body liftThe bad- truck was originally red, you can see the red here and there (that's not rust it's red) The speedo quit on the last below 0 day we had February. It was very cold and just squeaked and gave up. I use a cheap gps for mph. other gauges work. Rock auto for the part is around $100-200. - I have another trans from the junk yard that has the gear for the speedo on it. Trans is negotiable with purchase of truck. Scrap is worth $100+- Passenger side window motor out, ordered new motor.- Brights don't work, worn contact... I use the KC driving lights works better in my opinion. -Tires are not great, they do have a couple months left on them. Not a museum piece but could be with little effort! Its slow but you get use to it, on the positive side you can have a clear conscience regarding a speeding ticket :)
