The car is in great shape, as it was when I bought it in San Francisco, at 45k mile or so. I'm a mechanic, and have meticulously maintained this 4runner. All of the belts, hoses, and wiring are good. She runs well, and in fact has never had any kind of a mechanical problem. It is to be noted that this 4runner has the better 4.0 liter engine, which has a timing chain as opposed to the timing belt on the 4.7 liter. The timing chain NEVER has to be replaced, whereas timing belts typically fail around 150k miles, often totaling the car, or cost $2000 to replace beforehand. The 4.0 liter in this 4runner also gets 16 mpg combined, and 19 mpg highway. Comes equipped with roof racks, and running boards. The AC is still nice and cold, and the sound system is crisp as well. Cloth is clean in the interior. Has never had smoking or pets inside the car. I was very lightly rear ended, and the drivers side rear quarter panel has a baseball sized indentation in the plastic.
