I am the second owner on this car. I have used the car for the last year or so and after doing some of the maintenance on the car, I can guess at some of it's history. First, I will give you the car's current status and then what I know of it's history. The car runs and drives. The engine is in good shape with no major known problems except the AC pump is not pumping. System is charged but pump will probably need changed and I may do it myself if I keep the car this summer. The transmission is in good condition except the AWD which I found useless this last winter. The shaft to the rear wheels turns but does not seem to drive the rear wheels, maybe defective, maybe a design problem. More about that later. Exhaust is worn as expect for the miles it has but does not have any leaks. The exterior has many issues. The red is a 2-tone red due to, in my best guess, body part have been exchanged with a different red-toned car. The front bumper had the drivers side corner ripped off and I replaced it (provisionally) with the corner of another (grey) bumper (picture 4, I think). I was going to replace the whole bumper cover but have not found a suitable bumper cover to replace it with yet. Rocker molding and some door molding are gone (as shown in the pictures 7, 8 & 9, I think). There are several scrapes and dings along side the doors, front quarter and read quarter. I tried to take good pictures of them so you can see them (# 6, 7 & 8). The hood has lots of paint chips, which I assume is from rocks that have been picked up on the road and glancing off the hood (picture 5). The gas door is hanging on with 1 clip broken. The suspension has a few known issues from the day this car line was created. The most serious and notable in this car is with the lower control arms and a kick in the steering. The lower control arms are well known to have problems and need changed every 20k-75k miles. I just changed mine in the last 5k miles. The have done well although I had 2 occasions that I still needed to work on the drivers-side control arm after replacing it. I believe that it's fixed at the moment. Now the steering is a bit of a curio to me as I dont know whats wrong here. The steering seems tight at times and at times its as if the alignment is off (I did an alignment not long ago). There is also a kick in the steering just after a right hand turn from a dead stop. A mechanic told me that it can be from the AWD binding especially susceptible if the AWD is having problems. The plan is to remove the rear transmission shaft and see if it helps with this issue. I may do that soon and fix that as well. Nothing bad has ever happened to me a higher speeds (35+) but it does tend to wear the front tires excessively. One of the back wheel bearings also makes noise, especially at around 25 mph. The interior is clean, the whole dashboard works fine, great sounding radio, power door locks and power windows all work, 1 keyless entry provided (broken case) and 2 keys, horn does not work, good heater and fan, cruise controls, and on steering wheel radio controls. I do not know of any airbags that have blown but the airbag light does stay on. No check engine light. Rear door interior panel is missing as is the 'trunk' floor cover (picture 12). In the last year, I have done regular oil changes, new caliper and break pads on the front passenger wheel, new half-shaft on front drivers wheel, 2 new tires about 10k miles ago, added a cable to the radio to add AUX input to the radio. The original owner told me that the car had never been in a wreck, nor has it been since I've owned it. However, the body damage may indicate otherwise. They were not mechanics nor mechanically inclined and seems they tried to do repairs on the car and didn't do very well at it. I have since then had to fix many issues that the car had. I was told that the bumper cover cover just suddenly got trapped under the wheel going down the highway and ripped off. I believe it to be a lie but I dont know what the true story is there. I'm selling the car if you want parts for you own suzuki or if you just want a work car at a reasonable price. I have tried to be very explicit and honest about the cars defects but this is not a guarantee to be an exhaustive list of problems. The car is sold as is. If you want to see the vehicle, please email or call 513-285-8480 and come see the car. I will try to work with you on payment but if have less than 10 ebay history, I'd prefer you don't even bid or you will require a secure form of payment. I also prefer local pickup but if you need delivery, I may be able to work out driving the car to you for an extra charge. ASK IN ADVANCE.
