The paint is Tangerine Pearl Metallic and with the black accents, it really compliments the body lines. This is, in my opinion, one of the best looking Broncos we have had. The paint is about 10 years old and does have some minor imperfections but presents quite well. The top was painted with Plasti-Dip. This is a plastic coating that can actually be peeled off & re-coated/painted. If you want a nice driver this is it, but it isn’t perfect. I rate this one as a ‘five footer’.Inside this Bronco has been treated to a fully bed-lined tub. Clean-up is as easy as a leaf blower or a garden hose for especially dirty outings. The seats are rugged & comfortable Corbeau units that offer great support and they can stand up to the outdoor elements. The back seat is a fold-n-tumble unit that offers headrest support (a MUST for young passengers in case of a rear end collision). These seats fold flat with the flip of a lever then fold forward to the bucket seats giving you full use of the bed area.The chassis is in good shape with a nice, solid frame. The 4“ lift is a combination of a James Duff 2” Suspension Lift and a Billet 2” Body Lift. This is a great combination for a driver Bronco as it keeps the radius arm angles within the ‘Good’ range thanks to the 7 ¼ degree bushings. The handling also remains stable and makes for less leaning in the corners. The 2” body lift gets some extra room in the engine compartment allowing for better cooling, more clearance for taller air cleaners & intake manifolds and plenty of room to clear the 35” tires. The factory steering linkage has been replaced with heavy duty DOM Steel Tubing & Heim Joints for stable & durable steering in any situation. The ‘Track-Bar’ has been upgraded with an adjustable unit to truly center the axle in the body. The front axle is a Heavy Duty DANA 44 with a 4.09 Ratio Limited Slip. The rear axle is a Heavy Duty 9” with a 4.11 ratio Limited Slip. The final product gives you easy driving on the road and the off road capabilities you need to back up the Broncos ‘Dirt-Cred’.Under the hood the factory 125 Horsepower 302 has been thankfully replaced with a 351 Windsor with some nice performance upgrades. The 351 produces around 175 more horsepower and 175 pound/feet of torque. As you can imagine, there is no comparison between the power of the two engines. This early model 351 is reported to have 18k miles on the rebuild, though we have no receipts. Upgrades include electronic ignition, Edelbrock carburetor, long tube headers & performance exhaust. It runs excellent with a nice mild lope to the idle and a very deep note to the exhaust thanks to the Flowmaster mufflers.The C4 automatic transmission works excellent. The automatic Broncos are wildly popular because nearly anybody can drive them. No need to worry about steep hill take offs for inexperienced manual transmission drivers.Perhaps the best upgrade of all is the Hydro-Boost unit for the Disc Brake System. The Hydro-Boost is the same system that makes newer cars & trucks much easier to stop. It uses hydraulic pressure from the power steering pump rather than engine vacuum for a very easy & linear brake pedal. Stopping this Bronco is a breeze.The wheels are 18x10 Moto Metals. These are a powder-coated wheel for great durability. They have a custom off-set with a deep dish for great looks. The tires are 35x12.50 Toyo AT II Extremes. We have tried many kinds of tires on our Broncos and these have been far & away our favorites. They provide excellent driving characteristics thanks to their squared side walls. The tread compound & pattern provide surprisingly quiet on road use and very capable off road traction.This Bronco is great looking, fully capable on & off road and has the big 3 options of Power Steering, Hydro Boost Disc Brakes & an Automatic Transmission. The 351 produces around 175 more horsepower and 175 pound/feet of torque. As you can imagine, there is no comparison between the power of the two engines. This early model 351 is reported to have 18k miles on the rebuild, though we have no receipts. Upgrades include electronic ignition, Edelbrock carburetor, long tube headers & performance exhaust. It runs excellent with a nice mild lope to the idle and a very deep note to the exhaust thanks to the Flowmaster mufflers. The C4 automatic transmission works excellent. The automatic Broncos are wildly popular because nearly anybody can drive them. No need to worry about steep hill take offs for inexperienced manual transmission drivers. Perhaps the best upgrade of all is the Hydro-Boost unit for the Disc Brake System. The Hydro-Boost is the same system that makes newer cars & trucks much easier to stop. It uses hydraulic pressure from the power steering pump rather than engine vacuum for a very easy & linear brake pedal. Stopping this Bronco is a breeze. The wheels are 18x10 Moto Metals. These are a powder-coated wheel for great durability. They have a custom off-set with a deep dish for great looks. The tires are 35x12.50 Toyo AT II Extremes. We have tried many kinds of tires on our Broncos and these have been far & away our favorites. They provide excellent driving characteristics thanks to their squared side walls. The tread compound & pattern provide surprisingly quiet on road use and very capable off road traction. 2003 Yukon XL Denali that I swapped an LLY Duramax turbo diesel & Allison 1000 into. This combination was never offered from GM. They never brought their great Duramax Turbo Diesel engine into their full size SUV line-up. Yukon XL had 156k on it before the swap, and is in very respectable condition. Paint is metallic gray with light gray two tone interior. Exterior and interior of my Yukon is really nice. There are a few minor cosmetic blemishes, a few paint scratches and very minor dings, but overall the vehicle is in quite good shape. It is loaded like all the Denalis are, heated front and rear seats, power leather, DVD player, BOSE sound system, Dual-zone HVAC with rear A/C system, OnStar, XM, etc. This is a 2nd row bench configuration. The engine was out of a 2005 Silverado 2500HD, with 109k on it now. Same for the Allison transmission and 11.5" rear axle. I really took my time doing this swap, there was a lot of work involved. These Denali package Yukons come only as half tons, so I purchased a 3/4 ton frame to hold the Yukon and the Duramax together. This gives the vehicle a full 3/4 ton frame, suspension, axles & brakes so that it is truly capable of handling heavy loads the Duramax was designed to pull. The rear axle is from the Silverado, so it is the 11.5" GM 14-bolt full floating axle with a mechanical locker. This vehicle has already gone through a Washington state inspection and I have all paperwork in hand to transfer a free and clear title into the new owner's name. There is currently a small oil leak. I've just been too busy to look at it. These low mileage pre-2007 emissions diesels are getting tough to find. This Duramax has no DPF, no DEF fluid, no SCR. No emissions headaches to worry about. Just tons of power, excellent reliability and great mileage.Everything on this rig works, and works well. Seats 8 people in comfort, and would safely and easily tow 12k lbs up over the pass. A/C just recharged. Fuel economy on this rig is excellent, relatively speaking. With a conservative driver, expect about 15 in town, and 22 on the highway. I've been averaging about 19.5 on my work commute of a mix of stop and go and highway. Road trip steady cruising at 60-65mph, I've seen 24MPG. That's really good considering what this vehicle is capable of. This LLY Duramax is mostly stock and untouched. The only non-stock parts are a cold air intake, and a 4" exhaust. No software reprogramming has been done. Runs very well. Pulls strong just like it should. This is a very rare find. I've built a couple of these swaps, never on a Denali before. Serious inquiries only. This vehicle is located in Monroe, Washington state. After all, have you even seen anyone at the beach sporting their stock portfolio?This ’74 was restored about 10 years ago and then used sparingly and garage stored. The paint & interior were all in great condition. It had been used sparingly for parades and light cruising. The original trim presents nicely and even the original bumpers still show well. If you like the ‘Classic’ Bronco look, this is a very hard to beat look.The ‘Classic’ look carries over into the interior with stock seats. These seats have of course been recovered eliminating the factory vinyl seating area. If you have ever sat in sun baked vinyl you probably still have the scars to prove it. Thankfully the seats now have skin sparing cloth inserts. These breathable covers not only make the sun more survivable but don’t stick to you either. The floors have been bed-lined to make cleaning out the sand a matter of a leaf blower or garden hose. The 4 point roll bar gives you protection as well as a nice perch for that Brand New Bikini Top.The engine has been upgraded with an Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Intake Manifold, Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carburetor, Nickel Plated Headers and Performance Dual Exhaust. It performs well and sounds great.The C4 Automatic Transmission is a highly desirable option making it an easy driver. It goes into gear quickly and shifts confidently.When we inspected the differentials both had wear on the gears that exceeded spec. So…they were both disassembled and new ring & pinions were installed. They perform nicely and are quiet on the road. Since this Bronco is a cruiser, we went with the stock 3.50 gearing to make highway trips a breeze. The front driveshaft too was worn and was replaced with a new unit from Tom’s Broncos. The transfer case checked out fine and was serviced.The 4” Suspension Lift was installed with all the correct parts. The track-bar was lowered, radius arms lowered and new bushings installed throughout. We had it aligned to our specifications and it now has 4.4’ of caster, correct camber, correct toe and a special touch of our own. The steering wheel is nice & tight on center, returns to center after turns and doesn’t hunt the grooves on the road. This Bronco can easily cruise at highway speeds without the normal ‘nervousness’ associated with classic Broncos.The full set of 5 tires & wheels are brand new. The Helos are a classic look wheel with a modern twist. The Candy Apple Red shows very well against the Full Chrome Wheels. The tires are Toyo ATII’s, our favorite tire to run on these trucks. We have tried many and these ones are easily our favorites. They are the ‘Goldilocks’ tire combining quiet on road use, excellent driving characteristics and very surprising off-road capabilities. The gorgeous Candy Apple Red paint was just wet-sanded & buffed and ready to profile. Broncos have been on a tear both in popularity and in value. Hagerty Classic Car Values on these have DOUBLED in the last 5 years and have increased over 17% in the last year alone. If you want an investment you can actually enjoy, take a good look at this. After all, have you even seen anyone at the beach sporting their stock portfolio? This ’74 was restored about 10 years ago and then used sparingly and garage stored. The paint & interior were all in great condition. It had been used sparingly for parades and light cruising. The original trim presents nicely and even the original bumpers still show well. If you like the ‘Classic’ Bronco look, this is a very hard to beat look. The ‘Classic’ look carries over into the interior with stock seats. These seats have of course been recovered eliminating the factory vinyl seating area. If you have ever sat in sun baked vinyl you probably still have the scars to prove it. Thankfully the seats now have skin sparing cloth inserts. These breathable covers not only make the sun more survivable but don’t stick to you either. The floors have been bed-lined to make cleaning out the sand a matter of a leaf blower or garden hose. The 4 point roll bar gives you protection as well as a nice perch for that Brand New Bikini Top. The engine has been upgraded with an Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Intake Manifold, Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carburetor, Nickel Plated Headers and Performance Dual Exhaust. It performs well and sounds great. The C4 Automatic Transmission is a highly desirable option making it an easy driver. It goes into gear quickly and shifts confidently. When we inspected the differentials both had wear on the gears that exceeded spec. So…they were both disassembled and new ring & pinions were installed. They perform nicely and are quiet on the road. Since this Bronco is a cruiser, we went with the stock 3.50 gearing to make highway trips a breeze. The front driveshaft too was worn and was replaced with a new unit from Tom’s Broncos. The transfer case checked out fine and was serviced. The 4” Suspension Lift was installed with all the correct parts. The track-bar was lowered, radius arms lowered and new bushings installed throughout. We had it aligned to our specifications and it now has 4.4’ of caster, correct camber, correct toe and a special touch of our own. The steering wheel is nice & tight on center, returns to center after turns and doesn’t hunt the grooves on the road. This Bronco can easily cruise at highway speeds without the normal ‘nervousness’ associated with classic Broncos. The full set of 5 tires & wheels are brand new. The Helos are a classic look wheel with a modern twist. The Candy Apple Red shows very well against the Full Chrome Wheels. The tires are Toyo ATII’s, our favorite tire to run on these trucks. We have tried many and these ones are easily our favorites. They are the ‘Goldilocks’ tire combining quiet on road use, excellent driving characteristics and very surprising off-road capabilities. They also have a very high 65,000 mile tread wear warranty that will make you very happy as these are some of the most expensive tires out there. So, if you are in the market for a fun investment or are just trying to find your next fun fix, take a good look at this Bronco.
