This truck is very mechanically sound, and runs very well. The rear air and heat work well, but have to be switched from cold to hot manually. There is a DVD player that works, but there aren’t headphones for it. There is a slight power steering line leak. No rips or stains in the carpet or seats, except for the edge of the driver’s seat (see picture). Exterior has average wear for the age, with a few door dings here and there. The rear bumper was rusting, so it has been coated with truck bed liner. The engine doesn’t use any oil, and doesn’t leak any. Tires are in good condition, and will pass safety (probably have another +/- 10K left on them). Overall, this is a good condition Tahoe, that has been well taken care of.KBB is $4851, but since there are a couple things wrong, my price is lower than that.I live 35 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), and would be happy to work with you on arrangements for picking up the truck. Up for sale, my 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport with a little over 112K miles on it. Custom ordered and I took possession with 9 miles on the odometer. This vehicle needs nothing, leaks nothing and has been extensively and properly modified to tackle the mall or the toughest trails in Moab. More importantly, it has been adult driven with a light foot and fully maintained, some would say over maintained, since new. It has also been garage stored and the frame gets painted every 5 years or so. As such, I’d wager that this is the cleanest example of a 2001 TJ out there. I have a complete history of everything done and performed to this vehicle since new. Additionally, I performed all modifications and maintenance to ensure it was done correctly. Kit is complete (turbo, exhaust pipes and intercooler pieces), minus the fuel system controller which can be had for around $600 to finish it. I’ve run the turbo for a week, just venting the boost to the atmosphere, and it worked great. Too many other projects kept me from getting back to this one and finishing it. The intercooler has been in place for about 8 years and does a great job of cooling intake air down to ambient. Now, the bad - and please read as this is very important:The OBDII reading has 4 "not ready" readings. This means that it will not pass emissions testing as "not able to test". It does NOT have a check engine light on or any error codes but because of the "not ready" readings it WILL NOT pass. I've taken it to my mechanic and he could not find a solution. It has been like this for over a year now and I've tried numerous things to fix it and haven't found a solution. Therefore, I suggest that you not buy this car if you need emissions testing where you live (as far as I know they won't do a "sniffer" test anymore).Ever since I replaced the Heater Core it makes a sound like it is trying to engage four-wheel drive if you try to accelerate really quickly. From what I've read online it sounds like a simple fix but I've just refrained from accelerating too quickly so it hasn't been an issue for me. Every once in a while the "check suspension" light will come on briefly but it always goes away after a short while.
