Greetings, potential buyers! Up for sale is our 1998 Lincoln Navigator 31ft. limosine. The first thing I want to say about this vehicle is that it needs some fixing up before it can be used. I want to be as transparent as possible so that when you drive from hours away to come pay for this, you won't be disappointed or turn away because something wasn't mentioned, so if you have interest in the vehicle still, keep reading and I will be as honest as I can. Here is everything we know about the limo: Appearance -The very first thing you will need to do is replace the vinyl top. We have done estimates and they come out to be $900-$1100 to completely redo the top. It has had a tarp over it until the last week when it blew away. -There is rust on the vehicle. It is not as bad as I have seen on other limos, but it will need to be fixed. There is a rust spot on the upper part of the vehicle by the roof as well as by some of the windows, also there is some rust on the lower part of the vehicle. We were quoted $665 to fix all the rust spots and then have them primed (not painted) -There are parts on the vehicle where there was chrome, but it was painted over at one time with white paint that is now partially off. -After you fix the above issues, you will need to have the vehicle painted. We got a quote for $1200 to paint the entire vehicle. -The chrome rims are in pretty good shape, and the tires have quite a bit of treat left and no odd wear, which is really good for a limo. -We did not see any dents/major body damage besides the rust. -The windows aren't cracked/scratched anywhere and the tint is still good on them. -It has a very musty smell inside of it (which we are covering up with air fresheners ^-^ ) -The carpets are wrinkled, so in my opinion, they should be replaced also. We found them for $250 -There are white spots on the seats of what looks like spray paint in some places, but it does come off with a semi abrasive pad and does not damage the leather. All the seating is really in excellent shape besides what was just mentioned. -The wiring in the back is just a mess, so we have not touched it since we came in possession of the limo, so we can't tell you what does and doesn't work. There are some of the interior panels taken off and exposed wires going nowhere, so you will need to have a professional check the wiring for all the features in the back. We have had this done before, and it cost us under $500 to fix anything that wasn't working as far as electrical and ventilation. For the purpose of this auction, it is best to assume that nothing is working and everything in the cabin needs rewired. -The black markings around the first driver side passenger window is NOT rust. It is tar that is used to prevent any leaks. It will only need to be cleaned off, it is not body damage. Mechanics -There are 2 alternators, that both work, but the belt needs replaced because it is very sqeaky. -The engine runs. We believe it needs a tune up, and the check engine light is on. (We will be adding a video link below so you can hear it) -The GOOD news is that we know it is nothing too major because we drove it for an hour without any issues just a couple of days ago. We did not pull the codes, but I can try to have someone come out and do that before the auction ends. -It only has 116,000 miles on it. -The transmission works great. It does not have any issues shifting into gears, however, the shifter on the steering column, is very stiff to get from park to drive, but it does move and it does work. -The headlights/brake lights work. -It drives pretty straight. -There are no oil/fluid leaks. Okay, now that we got some of that out of the way, we need to address the title: The title is CLEAR, BUT it has been signed (not yet dated) by another buyer, so we have attached an amendment sheet to the title with all 3 signatures on it saying that it was a mistake. The DMV here in Illinois needs this paper in order to issue a title. Each state is different, but you will need to ask for a title "affirmation of correction" paper if the current paper we have attached will not work for your state. Both the title and the affirmation paper have the 2 seller's signatures and the buyer's signature on them. We know this sounds like a lot, but as mentioned, I want you to know any issues at all before you drive hours to come pick this up. This will be a great luxury vehicle with only about $3,500 worth of work. It CANNOT be shipped. You must come and drive it away yourself! Please ask us any questions you may have, and we will do our best to get back to you within 24 hours. Here is a link to a video of the limo running: https://youtu.be/SWCuzwEh9vs
