This is a 1997 Subaru Legacy. It drives alright, but has hit the point where it isn't passing safety inspection (passed emissions) and we don't want to put any more money into. Probably has a lot of good parts in it.Asking $950 but definitely open to reasonable offers. All four tires are quite new (just 5,000 miles on them). This car spent most of its life in dry California, so it has very little of the rust that is typical of used cars in this area. The car is a salvage title due to a small front-side accident 80,000+ miles ago. It was only declared "salvage" for insurance purposes.
This 2003 Subaru Legacy is a 2 owner vehicle that has spent its life in Ithaca mostly driving around town. Despite spending so much time in Ithaca, the car has been maintained well and has very few signs of rust and very low mileage, which means it should easily last another 10 years or 100,000 miles before serious problems set in. The good: AWD 4 wheel, fully independent suspension Low miles Very little rust, frame is great! Great engine No serious problems Bluetooth/usb enabled radio system 22/29 mpg The bad: Sunroof doesn't open (its just a moon-roof now) You have to use the lever in the drivers seat of the car to pop the trunk (key doesn't open trunk) Several cosmetic dents, dings and scratches (most notably, a trailer hitch puncture in the front bumper 1/2 inch deep) See pictures for detailed images This vehicle is listed on the Ithaca craigslist, so if it sells i will take this posting down.
