Very nice all original 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk nearly completely restored and is rust free having sat in garage for last 20 years. Engine runs smooth has been rebuilt and hardly driven since rebuild and I have receipts. The Silver Hawks were just one of few cars from this era that were aero dynamically designed for fuel economy and had a estimated 20 mpg off the lot. Painted red with minor touch up needed and trim and emblems needing to be put back on and windshields put back in. Many new parts in box and extra parts. Asking $8500 or best offer due to work still needing to be done. I don't know much about Studebakers. This car was with a few others I bought. Its been sitting for years. The frame looks to be very solid. It needs floors, rockers, trunk pans, gas tank. I do not have a title for it. I turned the motor a little by hand. The rear tires pumped up. I was told that it was a 58, but a Studebaker guy said it was a 59. It can sit here on my property up to 35 days for free after it is paid for in full. After 35 days will be a fee of $5 per day. Thanks and happy bidding. You can call or text me with questions at 8595852659. make me a reasonable offer to end the listing. I will only end it early if a deposit is made through paypal. I really don't know what its worth.

Up for sale is my beautiful 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk. This Hawk was restored approximately 9 years ago, five years before I bought it. Restoration wasn’t up to my standards so I improved upon it by adding all new chrome, engine dress-up and mechanical work. The car has had minimal use on weekends and to car shows. I was told it was a 45,000 mile car. The car has never been washed with water since I’ve owned it. I always detail and wax it, using no water to rust out the joints or to collect to rust other areas. It has never been in the rain. The paint is great with very few flaws, chips or scratches. All chrome has been redone. Stainless is in good shape with a few dents and scratches. All electric works, including defrost, wipers, lights and horn. Brakes are good for driving, stops good, but they are not power brakes. Steering is also manual. It handles nicely on freeway. It’s a little hard to park, but this is made easier with the suicide knob on steering wheel. All glass is good. Doors shut great. Engine is 259 cubic inch. Runs great; no smoke, tight compression; tested equal and at what it should be. Car goes along freeway at 60-70 mph with no problems. Handles nice. Transmission is 3-speed automatic. Works fine; no problems. About $1,000 spent on dressing up engine as shown in pictures. Pictures sum it up. Really nice interior, new auto meter gauges, except one, water temp which I have but no sending unit. It does have a gage which matches quite well and does work properly. Has electric tachometer. Windshield cleaner is missing bag, so it doesn’t work. Tires are nearly new. Exhaust is nearly new. Car is not concourse, but it is very, very nice. It gets lots of attention since it is on the rare side of autos. It has won several awards as shown in the picture and I am sure will win more. Please ask questions. If you live close, please come see it. Pictures do not do it justice. Thanks for considering this car. I am building a 1961 Hawk so I can’t keep both. Need money for that project. That was the first year for 4-speed transmission and bucket seats. Approximately $45,000 to build. $1,000 non-refundable down at auction end. Bank transfer within 10 days. Buyer pays all transportation. I will be here for pickup if notified.

I purchased this car as seen in the pictures from California. There is no major rust that I find. There is a small amount of bondo on the lower trunk lid and some I find that I think is covering scratches and dents. The car is complete but needs restored. I have never driven the car on the highway so I don't know if the overdrive works. I have yard driven it and all the gears work and the brakes stop it. It comes with a new tan carpet and some door and trunk rubber. The title is clear and in my name. I decided to restore my 56 Chevy instead of the Silver Hawk. The only trading I would do is for a 55-59 Chevy or GMC 1/2 ton step side short bed truck The car comes as is with no warranty. Email me with questions.
