Here is a great hot rod, rat rod project for someone who loves Studebakers or just wants something different. The Commander Hardtops are few and far between. It rolls and steers but no brakes working. There is rust in the rockers, trunk, floors, but everything else including the doors appear to be solid. The trunk floor looks good where the seams meet the inner fender panels. The engine, automatic transmission and automatic steering column have been removed and we have used the transmission in a restoration of another car. We will put a 3 speed column back in the car so it can be steered for transport. We have all the chrome and stainless window and body trim. It needs to be restored. We have the complete grill, headlights. We don not have the tail lights. We do not have the front seat. We do have a 3 speed over-drive trans and column we can include if someone wanted to go stock. Windows roll up and down. The car is located in Bremerton, Washington. Being relisted due to 2 scammers. Have now blocked. The last picture is one that has the 1951 Bullet nose front end on it. For those out there that like the look of the Bullet nose cars, the hood, front fender, bullet nose, etc from a 1950 to 1951 will bolt right on. We prefer PayPal.

Recently took this very desirable and difficult to find 1950 Studebaker convertible in trade. It is one of the few I have ever seen with an automatic transmission. We were told that the engine and transmission have been rebuilt, however we do not have documentation to support that. Speedometer shows 65,680. It starts right up, runs smoothly, quiet, drives, shifts and stops well. Over all it is very straight. Like so many of these models, the floors rocker panels, right door bottom and trunk floor have seen better days and will need to be replaced. New floors and panels are readily available. The canvas top is worn out, but the convertible frame is in excellent shape and works well. The glass looks good all around and the windows roll up and down easily, except for the passenger door. We have not checked the radio, wipers, or lights. This is a very worthy car to restore and we have been very tempted to keep it, however business needs are pressing us to at least give you a chance to own it. You already know what a rare find it is. The last two pictures were added to give you an idea of how this old girl could be transformed. I believe this is the only 1950 Studebaker Convertible for sale in North America for under $30K. Last time we listed this car there were over 3,500 page views and 190 watchers. This will be the last time we offer the car on eBay. So if you miss this time, well there are a lot of Starlight coupes out there to look and a 51 for $30K....

jerryandhelen Store Description  1927 Studebaker Big Six Vicky  - for sale by private party -   Available for sale is this incredible 1927 Studebaker street rod. The engineering and finish work on this car is simply amazing. The owner/builder has dozens of high-end builds to his credit, and this car shows the quality touches that are achieved through many years of experience.    The project began with a very solid body and chassis.  The stock frame was boxed and powder coated.  A Heidt's Super Ride setup was installed in the front, and Nissan independent rear suspension was installed in the rear.  With four wheel independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, and front and rear sway bars, the car handles very nicely. The car sits on 18 and 20 inch Budnik wheels wrapped in Goodyear RSA tires.     A Dodge SRT-10 V10 (8.3 litre/505 CID) engine perfectly fills the engine compartment.  Rated at 500 HP and 525 lb-ft of torque, this beast provides ample power.  Fuel injection assures easy starts and reliability. Exhaust flows through a 3 inch exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers.  Cooling is provided by a custom built copper/brass radiator from Performance Radiator backed by a Cooling Components fan. The transmission is a column-shifted 48RE four-speed overdrive automatic that was original equipment behind the V10 engine.  Ron Francis wiring keeps everything lit up.     Inside, the car is a two-seater, with tastefully upholstered bucket seats.  Creature comforts include power steering, power brakes, Specialty Power 2-speed wipers, Vintage Air A/C and heat, power windows, and Rostra cruise control.  A four-speaker Retro Sound stereo system (with USB)  provides the tunes. Classic Instruments gauges complement the overall design of the car.  The steering wheel incorporates the original center with a custom highly figured maple rim that matches the luggage rack.         The top has been chopped four inches.  All chrome has been replated by American Plating, and all of the glass is new.  Paint work was done by Classy Chassis, one of the premier custom paint shops in the northwest.  All PPG paint products were used.   The car has slightly over 4K miles on a fresh build, with 38K on the engine and transmission.   Selling for a friend who is the owner/builder. You can call Ron directly at 360-943-0792 if you have questions.  Please call between 9 am and 8 pm Pacific time.   Sorry, not interested in trades.  The next project is under construction.   Buyer is responsible for shipping from Olympia, WA 98506.  Vehicle is sold as-is and where-is.  Please have the vehicle inspected prior to making a commitment to purchase.   Vehicle will be held until purchase funds clear.  Payment by cash, certified cashier's check or electronic funds transfer. The American Austin Bantam (pictured) will be listed in a separate auction in the next week.

All the parts are there and it is worth the effort for someone that wants a one of a kind car. I bought it to save it from being parked under a tarp and trees here in the damp NW of Seattle. Have all the glass and I believe there are even extra engine parts for the car. If you have questions or would like some more pictures I can do that, just contact me. the entire inside of car is full of parts and all the seats etc. are there. The Black 4 door in the pictures has the new front glass for this car being sold.
