SUPER RARE(One of only 1372 produced) 1955 STUDEBAKER CHAMPION "CONESTOGA" REGAL 2 DR STATION WAGON. It is a series 16G6 Regal(the rarest of all Conestoga S/W models) with VIN # G1315482. Car is complete and it is very rare to find an original untouched Conestoga in this condition. Overall, body panels are straight and there is minimal rust. Chrome is very good original(all there) and right rear lower taillight is broken. Interior is rough but complete including factory radio. Glass is very good all around except for driver door which is cracked and windshield will need replacing. She was sheded for over 40 years and last licensed in the 1960's and original mileage is unknown. Wonderful find just waiting for someone to claim her and bring out her original beauty. Take a close look at the pics before bidding as they show the condition better than I can describe. Would suggest that successful bidder go over this vehicle completely as it has sat in storage for several years. Being sold with a lien free "Bill of Sale". 1948 CHAMPION CONVERTIBLE, THIS WAS BOUGHT NEW BY A VERY CLOSE FRIEND OF OVER 50 YEARS. HIS FAMILY IS NOW MOVED FROM OUR HOME TOWN AND WISHES TO SELL THE CAR. I BOUGHT A GARAGE FROM BENNIE ABOUT 30 YEARS AGO AND HIS CONVERTIBLE WAS IN THE OTHER STALL WITH THE 1953 LINCOLN I BOUGHT THAT WAS MY GRANDFATHER'S DEMO THAT BENNIE HAD OWNED 40+ YEARS. IT HAD STAYED THERE FOR 30+ YEARS AND THE LAST 15 IN A GARAGE BUILT AT HIS HOME. BENNIE TOLD ME HE DROVE TO THE 1953 INDY 500!! THE PAINT AND NEW TOP VERY DONE IN ABOUT 1960. THE CAR RUNS GREAT AND WAS RESTARTED LAST YEAR FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 40 YEARS?? THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WORKS FINE THE BRAKES WILL NEED ATTENTION FROM TIME IN STORAGE.
