I am having to part ways with my 1952 Studebaker Commander starliner coupe. This car has had a total ground up restoration a few years ago, with everything original except for the engine being a 289 instead of the 232 v8. Has an automatic that works fine but leaks a little transmission fluid. Probably just needs a new gasket. Has no rust, but has a few minor paint chips. All chrome shows nice as everything has been rechromed. Radio and clock both work These coupes are very rare especially when your looking for the Commander 8 cylinder with the automatic drive. Also has fender skirts and like new tires. I just replaced the battery not even 6 months ago. No tears in seats or headliner. Engine looks spotless as you can see in pictures. If you have any questions please call me at 541-882-7294. $1000 non refundable cash upon winning bid. Car is originally from Colorado . I can hold car for however long you need to either pickup or have a truck come pick up. This car has excellent start up and runs just fine. Brakes are fine and it shifts just fine. On Jul-27-15 at 08:06:29 PDT, seller added the following information: The engine does also have an oil pressure problem, where it starts right up runs smoothly on 40 lbs oil pressure but then eventually after you drive down the road goes down. Has dual exhaust and a 4 barrel carburetor and alsocar cover. comes with a quart of bottom color blue paint for touch up. Have all the motor manuels This car has always been kept inside a garage. mileage is unknown because it has the updated Studebaker 289 cu inch engine. If you need more info on the oil pressure problem, please call. It doesn't appear to be that much of a deal I have been told. I took the oil pressure relief bolt out and clean the plunger and strech the spring and now when starting it up it actually now goes past 40 lbs when you step on it. Haven't tried yet to drive down road to see if it will go down.

1955 Studebaker Commander Coupe This car was purchased in 2014 from a seller in Minnesota. It is being sold as part of an estate sale. Unfortunately we do not have the paperwork showing when it was restored or what all has been done during the restoration process. It does have a clean Oregon title with permanent Minnesota collector plates. The title reads 19,221 miles which was a misprint at time of title change. The actual odometer reads 17,912 miles. This car runs and drives beautifully with a 259 V-8 with overdrive and 3 on the tree column shift. It has a four barrel carburetor, new dual exhaust from the manifold back, running 185 hp. This car looks great and stands out. Runs very smooth and doesn't smoke or overheat. Motor sounds very nice. It's been garaged and everything work great all the way down to the horn. The am radio does work, but you can only use the push buttons to change stations. The knobs do not move the radio dial. The drivers side window does have about a 5" crack and needs to be adjusted and could use new rubber around the wing window. It can be a little tuff to roll up. The interior is in excellent condition and show no wear. The body of this beauty is straight and chromed out! Like any car it does have a few imperfections. Which I have posted pictures of. There are a few chips around the drivers side headlight ring and a 1" scratch on the chrome front bumper. On the passenger side the front fender has a little chipping where it meets the door panel. Wheels and tires are in great shape. Tires are like new. The hood has been recently repainted, but if you look close enough the color is off just a hair. Most people don't even notice it. As for the mechanics of this car, they are excellent with very few problems. The belts and hoses are in good condition and the valve cover gasket is dry. The rear wheel cylinder on the passengers side leaks a little. Motor is very clean, however there were a few drops of fluid under it when I moved it. Its been sitting in the same spot for a couple of months. We recommend serious buyers have the car inspected. We are not experts on cars in anyway and we have not had this car inspected. We are going on the information the family has given us. For questions, more photo's or to make viewing arrangements you can contact Tony at 503-989-0240. This car is sold "as is" with no warranty. Buyer must pick up or make shipping arrangements and will be responsible for all costs. Title will be released when car is picked up, along with a bill of sale after payment has cleared. Palpal is not accepted on this purchase, however a $500 deposit is required thru paypal, check or money order within 72 hrs. Please communicate this to seller. Buyer will pay with cash or certified funds. I am not a dealer nor an expert and I do my best to describe each item I list. All items are sold "as is", so please look closely at all pictures and ask any questions you might have before bidding. Thank You for looking.

1950 Commander Here is your chance to jump right into the collector car driving season with a beautiful turn key '50's icon. Get in, start it up, and head to the cruise-in or car show. Join the Studebaker Driver's Club and learn why so many folks around the world love and admire these cars (over 12K members). The history of the company runs deep and broad and explains why they built such great cars. Often referred to as "Engineer's cars" or "Stylists cars", they draw attention wherever they appear. This one is a real eye grabber designed by the Raymond Loewy design studios, and loads of fun to drive. The suicide doors alone are a source of conversation. This car comes in as a 2.5 on the grade scale of 4 and has an estimated collector car value between $11,500 and $15,000. With hundreds of dollars in spare parts and upholstery fabric this is a great deal. 1950 Commander Regal Deluxe 4-Door Sedan Weight 3,265 Original cost $2,024 Number of this model built 14,832 Serial number 4428474 Engine number 405249 Body number 6567 Model & Body Type 17A 25 COLT Paint Symbol & Color P2268 AQUA Trim number 7569 GT CL-3 Built in South Bend Indiana Production date 1/31/1950 Transportation date 2/1/1950 by rail Original destination Pueblo Colorado (Dealer transfer to Salem Oregon) Purchased new from a dealer in Salem Oregon Big Six – 245 Cu. All the work has been done. A complete car disassembled and sitting in primer with straight body. A lot of new parts in boxes and new interior dash trim. absolutly no rust anywhere. I'm not going to complete the job. My loss your gain. A lot more then $2000 invested. A great complete project car going cheap.
