WATCH VIDEO ABOVE FOR A MORE DETAILED LOOK. 1950 STUDEBAKER 1/2 TON 2R5 SWB TRUCK. LOCAL TRUCK ALL ITS LIFE. 2 OWNER. LAST OWNER BOUGHT IT '65, USED IT FOR HIS CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS UNTIL '72 AND THEN PARKED IT UNDER HIS HOUSE IN THE BASEMENT. THERE IT HAS BEEN PARKED EVER SINCE. WONDERFUL PROJECT THAT IS REALLY SOLID OVERALL. ALL ORIGINAL WITH THE STOCK FLATHEAD 6/3-SPEED. MOTOR TURNS OVER GREAT BY HAND AND EVERYTHING UNDER THE HOOD IS 100% ORIGINAL. TRUCK WAS PULLED INTO THE BASEMENT IN 1972 AND COMPLETELY COVERED WITH ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING BUT A SMALL PORTION ON THE TAILGATE. EVERYTHING IS HERE EXCEPT THE KEYS. I DO NOT HAVE THEM AND COULDN'T FIND THEM ANYWHERE. WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN SMOOTH. TIRES ARE ACTUALLY NICE AND TUBES HOLD AIR. GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR A VERY NEAT AND RARE TRUCK TO PUT BACK ON THE ROAD. SOME BODY RUST ON LOWER CAB CORNERS AND DRIVERS DOOR, DENTS AND DINGS. DRIVERS DOOR WAS CAVED IN AT ONE TIME FROM WHAT I CAN TELL AND POPPED BACK OUT. BUT ALL IN ALL IT IS A GREAT FOUNDATION. ASK ANYTHING, ANYTIME. ALWAYS HERE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS WITH 100% HONESTY AND ACCURACY. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A FEW ANTIQUE CARS OUT OF THE BASEMENT OF THE FAMILY WHO OWNED THIS TRUCK. IT WAS AN "ALL OR NOTHING" DEAL AND I JUST DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO PUT INTO THIS TRUCK RIGHT NOW. CLEAR INDIANA TITLE IN HAND. THANKS FOR LOOKING. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL. Shipping: Shipping costs are the buyers responsibility but I will work out the details with your shipper to load the truck up. Truck is sold "As Is" and "Where Is". No warranty expressed or implied obviously BUT if you are in the area you are welcome and encouraged to come and physically inspect it anytime you like. I'm not an expert on these things so PLEASE ask anything anytime. I'm happy to answer. Nothing to hide here. Paying: CASH IN HAND IS KING BANK TO BANK WIRE CASHIERS' CHECKS See my **EXCELLENT** FEEDBACK to know who you are buying from prior to purchase. PAYPAL IS NOTPREFERRED! I DO NOTLIKE PAYPAL AND I THINK THEIR FEES ARE OUTRAGEOUS! HOWEVER IF YOU WANT TO USE PAYPAL,YOU WILL HAVE TO BE LIABLE FOR THE EXTRA FEES. SORRY...BUT IT'S JUST RIDICULOUS WHAT THEY CHARGE FOR BASICALLY DOING NOTHING.

View Large Images ? ? Description Pretty cool Studebaker here guys. Locally owned 2nd owner. Garage stored for the last 20+ years. Driven sparingly. 36,800 miles believed to be correct. Previous owner stated that the miles are correct. guy is in his eighties. Think he was shooting straight with us. When we acquired the car, we did quite a bit of work to it in our shop. We replaced the water pump, coolant, plugs, wires, cap, points, and rotor. We replaced the brakes all the way around, including new wheel cylinders. New battery and fan belt. New front brake hoses. New master cylinder. New whitewall radial tires. Comes with very nice Studebaker full wheel covers. There are a lot of related books, receipts, and other publications from the era, that go with the car. Looks like it had an amateur attempt a long time ago at paint and body work/rust repair. Paint is blistering/peeled on a lot of the body. The car could be used as is, as an occasional driver, or a body shop guy could take this baby to a whole new level. It really should be stripped down, repaired, and repainted. The carpet and seat covers have been replaced, and look great. Trim is pretty good. Minor pitting in some of the chrome. This Studebaker fires right up, and runs and drives better than one would expect. It steers and stops just fine. It just needs some good tlc to get the body looking fresh again. This is a 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo (GT) Hawk.It has a V8 engine, automatic transmission, and a 4-barrel Holley with manual choke operation. It's in fair condition..it was driven on the roads up until 2013/2014. New water pump + coolant put in it April 2015. The engine runs great and drives great, although the potential Buyer should be familiar with manual choke operations! Wipers, heater blower motor, stop lights, headlights, & turning lights work. Brand new exhaust pipe + muffler installed from the engine all the way till the rear of the vehicle.Valve covers re-sealed + painted, including the air intake manifold underneath the carburetor. The paint is chipped in a few places. The interior is in good condition, except towards rear windshield, where the top of the seat is torn a little. The chrome is in fair condition, with a few pittings on the headlight chrome shrouds. It's has 31,255 miles on it.Current issues:- the wood finish on the dash area is peeling up - there is rust towards the trunk area of the vehicle and areas of surface rust underneath the rear of the vehicle.- the exterior paint is chipped in a few small regions, mainly around the 'edges' of the body...also, right above the directional indicator lights.... next to the radiator. The car is road worthy...it drives great! Does not come with battery. It is located in South Bend, IndianaNo delivery! Buyer is responsible for Vehicle pickup.Potential buyer will be required to sign with me a legally binding Bill of Sale document. This Bill of Sale will additionally act as a receipt for BMV records and contains certain terms and conditions: no refund, the vehicle is sold 'as-is', and whoever buys it will be responsible for whatever happens with the Vehicle after taking it away from my property!

Please DO NOT click on 'BUY IT NOW'. This is an ad for this Vehicle. All interested people must contact me first! I prefer not to sell to a complete stranger whom did not even see the Vehicle. Interested people should at least express interest in seeing the Vehicle in person and make arrangements with me! In other words...if you would like to buy the car, I expect you would like to see the car in person before purchasing. So please do NOT click on 'Buy It Now' button. Our family has deep roots in the Studebaker history and community. Not only do we participate in annual Studebaker Swap Meets, but we also have been long running members of the Studebaker Driver's Club. We are honest folks who spent *many* decades rebuilding these ol' cars and are very passionate about them. We would like to sell this Vehicle to a similar Studebaker enthusiast whom will also love, cherish, and take care of it! About this Vehicle: This is a 1963 Studebaker Lark, two-door, black, convertible. It was re-built about 16 years ago...the original odometer shows 300,000 miles on it, and this is the mileage used for this listing. Although ever since being rebuilt, it was rarely driven. It sat in clean, supervised storage, albeit the seasonal warm-ups and small drives. It has a V8, all 12V - alternator electrical system, automatic transmission, floor-mounted gear shifter/lever, and a 4-barrel Holley carburetor. The chrome is in excellent condition! All works: headlights, blower fan, wiper, brake lights, directional lights (turning lights), license plate lights.! NO power steering...driving this car requires some muscles. There are a few present minor issues that can be addressed:No air cleaner (sorry, I don't have an extra one)The driver's side hydraulic piston (for the roof mechanism) had a tiny pin hole in it...this was fixed with a rubber sleeve and mechanical clamps over the pin hole. No leaks, the fix works great! It needs a coolant flush and possibly a standard carburetor overhaul (sometimes during cold weather it stalls when initially starting after sitting over-night)No antennae for the radio...so no radio channels, although the radio apparatus worksMinor paint/cosmetic issues near the rear driver's side fenderThe floor-mounted gear lever is slightly out-of-adjustment. The Park (P) and Reverse (R) are right by each other. The slight misalignment causes the reverse lights to come on, when in park. To prevent the car from jumping into reverse, the gear lever must be pushed firmly into the P position. I am working on fixing this issue.Missing kick-panels trims inside near the foot-well of the driver's side and passenger's sideMechanically, it runs great and works great. Please check the attached pictures and also the YouTube video link for demonstrations! It is not museum quality, but it is in good condition! All clean and new paperwork! No delivery! If you buy it, *YOU* will need to have a plan to take it away. You will need to secure your own mode of transporting this vehicle back to your home. I will not be responsible nor help you in any way in transporting this vehicle back to your home. If you don't have a plan or means of transporting the vehicle, I will not sell it to you!Potential buyer will be required to sign with me a legally binding Bill of Sale document.YouTube link for demonstration of engine operation: YouTube video of engine operation. ==================================== PRICE: $14,000. ====================================NOTE: If you come and visit the car on my property, you automatically consent to be audio/video recorded by numerous security systems that are active on the entire premises. This may or may not include vehicle license plate detection of your source of transportation to/from my property. One can't be too safe, right ? Please only contact me if you are really really interested. Any fraud, spamming, or suspicious activity/transaction will not be tolerated and will be dealt with swiftly with legal representation and law enforcement officers, under any applicable State and Federal laws/regulations.
