Up for auction from The Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado. This Highland Green metallic paint # 3067A 1968 Shelby GT 350 4 speed car vin # 8T02J188450-03002 was delivered to Robert Loud Ford in Pasadena, Ca. It has clean and brief history in the Shelby registry. We believe it could have had as little as 3 owners. Stretched out over 13 years this GT 350 has gone through a semi rotisserie restoration. The date code 302 engine was completely rebuilt to stock specifications. All the external accessories have been replace or rebuilt as well as the 4 speed top loader/ clutch assembly. Replaced and rebuilt as well are the 9 inch rear end, front/ rear suspension and complete brake system. The most spectacular thing about this Shelby is that it is one of the cleanest Fastback shells that I have ever seen! There are no signs of any metal/ fiberglass replacement what so ever! The only damage I have come across is that the driver rear quarter panel has been repaired behind the wheel, no metal replacement just repaired. This is a # 3 quality restoration and driver Shelby with less than 50 miles on the rebuild. There will be a few things that will need to be sorted out but nothing complicated. A 1968 Shelby GT 350 4 speed car with 89,000 original miles and clean sheet metal, what more can you ask for? Are you ready to own a piece of American history? Please give me a call and ask as many questions as you like. Up for auction from The Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado. This 1965 Shelby GT 350 Vin # 5S333 Is for sale to the highest bidder. It has been in a long term storage and occasionally driven after its restoration, which was done a number of years ago. The car has an interesting history according to Howard Pardee. After it was shipped and received by Herff Motor Co in Memphis Tn, it was re bodied with a new 1966 Mustang Fastback body-in-white with out a vin #. The Shelby was looked at by Bill Collins in Georgia some time ago and did not have a vin number on either apron. We have no documentation to prove or dis prove that Herff Motor Co, Ford or Shelby re bodied this car or how it was damaged enough to do so. I myself have just recently inspected the car and have found the aprons have been stamped with the Ford and Shelby vin numbers. The Hipo 289 V-8 K code has the vin number stamped on the block. The transmission is also the Borg Warner T-10 Aluminum case 4 speed. To me, it appears to be a 1966 K code Fastback body-in-white shell that has received most all the parts from the other shell. This is a driver quality Shelby that with a little work can be placed right into service and enjoyed. Please call me with any questions that you may have about this piece of American history! I cannot give a guarantee or warrantee on this car. I personally have taken a ride in the Shelby and have found it to be FAST and extremely road worthy. Up for sale from The Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado. This Shelby is one of the cars that I have imported from a little town in Belgium called Turnhout from a private family collection. I am selling this car for a client of mine. Attached is the story in the annual Shelby publication. This Shelby has just a little over 58,000 miles on her. As you can see she has done some traveling in 46 years. At some point the origional short block was swaped out and now there is a 428 PI in its place with the correct heads, manifolds, carburetor and distributor. I am not sure about the transmission but the rear end is correct. The shell, associated sheet metal and fiberglass are all origional. There is no metal replacement due to rust or damage. Minus a little cleaning and detailing the drivers and passengers door strikers need to be adjusted. Please call and ask as many questions as you can about this piece of American history. There is no guarrantee or warranty on this car. Buy with confidence, go to Google and type in the browser "Rich Barnes The Mustang Ranch Golden, Colorado" get to know who you might be doing business with. This was the 76th car built with a D.S.O. code 842503. The 84 code is the code for "Home Office Reserve" The car was first sold in Oxnard CA. By Robert J Poeschl INC. to Robert A King on April 1969. It then was shipped to Great Britain and had several owners one notably Fight lieutenant of the R.A.F. Alan Storey. He owned the car for about 10 years. After two more owners it went to the Verschuren collection in Turnhout Belgium. Rich Barnes of The Mustang Ranch in golden Colorado bought 6 cars including this car from the collection and shipped them back to Golden. Knowing Rich for many years and living close to his shop I Purchased the car February 2011. This car has all the prober numbers on the chassis and is in the SAAC registry. The mileage on the car is presently 58465 The mileage can be fully documented by the fact the previous owners had to have yearly M.O.T. inspections in England. I have all the Test Certificates. the car also has a Marti Report as well. The exterior color (Royal Maroon) is a rare color combination as only the very early cars had this color. This car has all its original body panels and is rust free in all respects. It has a very clean under side in original condition. I replaced the original interior and carpet. The engine was rebuild by the owner in England and has very low miles.

I cant believe it either. But I have this clients 68 KR 500 that actually has only 39,000 original miles on it! 8T02R203114-02332 (Steve Bearden) when he lived in Saint Petersburg Fl, purchased the car from the original owner, Alfred B. Jones of Opa Lock, Fl. Alfred was an airline pilot and put some 38,000 miles on the car. Steve purchased it and set the odometer at 0. Then put only 915 miles on it himself. As you can see the car was last inspected in 1976. The car was then placed in long term storage for 38 years and occasionally moved around and driven. Steve moved to Colorado in the late 70'S and has had this piece of American history ever since. The car has cleaned up nice but could use some more detailing to keep it a survivor car. She sat in a garage for a number of years with the passengers side exposed to the sun through windows. So there is some sun blistering on the passengers side but you only notice it close up or when you run your hand over it. Original Shelby, door, buck and windshield tags are undisturbed. Unfortunately back or before 1976 the smog system, air inlet, S tube and heat shield were discarded. Also belts, hoses, clamps, plugs, wires, shocks and battery cables/ tray were replaced. Most recently replaced was the master cylinder/ brake booster, carb rebuild, vacuum advance, gas tank, rebuilt calipers, wheel cylinders, brake pads/ shoes, heater core and hoses. This Shelby starts right up! No noises, smoke or leaks. I have had it out running through the neighborhood and on the highway. The clutch and all forward/ reverse gears engage smoothly with no issues. The brakes and power steering work excellent! There are no signs of collision what so ever. Alfred did how ever have the car dealer undercoat with the thick body schultz and I must admit it is not the pretty est. All of the sheet metal/ fiberglass is original to the car. The only surface rust I have found is on the bottom of the doors and under the lip of both lower quarter skirts and there is nothing bubbling or popping through on the body. There is however some occasional chips and lite scratches and a long one on the drivers rear quarter panel. The interior is all original with the exception of the drivers instrument cluster bezel, wood grain horn pad and Shelby emblem. What is impressive is that the swing away steering wheel option, clock and interior lights still work. I have pictures of the stamped vin number on the block as well as the build date that correlates with the Marti report. I have also found the vin number stamped on the ear of the transmission. There is the original build sheet and some other documents that goes with the car. Please call and ask as many questions as you like about this special find!
