For event information call 779-552-8766 For those of you who are not familiar with Kirkham Motor Sports, they are the premier manufacturer of replica Cobras. The bodies are all aluminum with a steel chassis which are identical to the original car. This car has been fitted with a Keith Kraft all aluminum 427 side oiler, which has been bored and stroked to 482 cubic inches. The engine was built with all premium parts, including a roller cam. The engine was dynoed at 622 horsepower. A Richmond 6-speed over-drive transmission delivers the power to the Salsbury rear end, which has an aluminum center section packing 3:31 gears and a Detroit locker. All this horsepower is brought to a halt via Wilwood 1 ¼ vented rotors and 4 piston caliper disc brakes on all 4 corners. The Kirkham aluminum bodies are the only bodies used by Shelby American for the reproduction Cobras. This particular car was ordered and built by a well-educated real Cobra enthusiast who carefully chose the options that allow the driver to experience what it was like to drive one of these Cobras back in the mid ‘60s. It has been meticulously maintained, always stored in a climate controlled environment and has approximately 8,000 miles since new. It was driven on the 2007 Power Tour and delivered 12-14 miles to the gallon at 70mph. The car is extremely reliable, and at just under 2200lbs is extremely responsive. With a beautiful black finish and subtle dark gray stripes it will surely drop jaws as quickly as it drops the competition.
