The Shelby GT is not to be confused with the much more common GT500 that is completed on the Ford assembly line. By comparison, the Shelby GT was produced in much smaller numbers from 2007-2008 only, and was directly modified by Shelby American in Las Vegas. You may remember the first Shelby GT being auctioned by Barrett-Jackson for a whopping $600,000. This Shelby GT was purchased new at Auffenberg Ford in Illinois.
