Factory Five MKIV. This car was completed in 2013 and has only 334 miles since then, It has a 4.6 modular motor with a Tremec 3650 5 speed manual transmission. The 4.6 has factory fuel injection, which in my opinion makes this car a pleasure to drive. It is a smooth accelerating engine that is very reliable and has an abundance of performance potential. There is more than enough room for a bolt on centrifugal supercharger if you wish for more power or speed. Some of the upgrades from Factory Five include stainless exhaust, stainless roll bar, secondary stainless roll bar, and upgraded roadster seats. I chose to install aluminum Kirkey seats but the factory seats will go with the car. It has Koni coilovers on all four corners, 4 wheel disc brake powered by a hydrobooster, working windshield wipers with the upgraded components, autometer Sport Comp II gauges, and I also added turn signal indicators. Rear tires are 315/35/17 and front tires are 255/40/17. There is an abundance of aluminum, and stainless hoses in the engine compartment. I have not driven this car much since completion, it sits covered in my shop while I'm working on other projects. I think it's time to let her go.

Interior The seat upholstery is tan leather that makes an excellent contrast with the BRG exterior. The door panels are in excellent condition. The carpet is a matching black. These cars have no convertible tops (the theory was they could out-race the rain!) but it does have a tonneau. And, just in case the rain sneaks up on you, the Cobra has windshield wipers—but no heater or defroster. These were intended to be true sports cars! Engine The car’s V-8 is a fuel injected Ford 5.0 that sits nestled in a clean engine bay. The engine is enhanced with an Edelbrock upper and lower intake manifold, BBK exhaust headers, Accell Billetech ignition, Billet pulleys, 30lb injectors and a BBK cold air intake. Transmission/Rear The 5-speed transmission is a Tremec and it shifts like new. The rear end is a Ford Ultimate 8.8 LPW. Tires, Brakes, Safety and Monitoring Systems This car has Cobra Mustang 5-spoke wheels mounted with Z speed-rated Avon tires—245/45ZR17s on the front and 275/40ZR17s on the rear. The large footprint of the tires help harness the engine’s torque and deliver it to the rear wheels. The 4-wheel disc brakes bring the car to a straight and quick stop without pulling or shuddering. All of the gauges (speedometer, tach, , temp, oil pressure, gas) work properly, as do the safety equipment (lights, turn signals, horn, wipers). As mentioned, this is a “driver’s car” and accordingly has neither heater/defrosters or a convertible top. The car has Simpson racing seatbelts to keep the driver and passenger firmly in place as this car does what it was made for: go and stop fast and to assist with that mission, this Cobra is equipped with AC race pedals.
