This is a very rare 1987 Shelby GLHS #369 - Care is in really good shape for being almost 30 years old and has less than 40k miles on the body and interior. Car has its original paint so it has sun fade with some scratches here and there. However, there is no rust at all on the doors frame, fenders and so on - you can see from the pictures it wasn't a winter midwest car. It does have a small amount of surface rust under the hatch (about the size of a quarter). Interior is in great shape, dirty from sitting and not being cleaned. It has +40 injectors, stage 5 calibrated computer, FMIC, 3" piping into intake, K&N filter, braided oil and coolant lines for turbo. MSD 6A and Blaster 3 coil, new alternator and power steering pump, TurboXS BOV. Fresh rebuilt A520 trans, t2/t3 clutch and pressure plate set up by Gary Donovan. All suspension bushings have been replaced with polybushings. 255 fuel pump, Auto Meter Pro Comp Boost, Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure and EGT gauges.Motor and Trans haven't even been broke in yet - maybe 25 miles on them. The Turbo has an oil seal leak and would need to be fixed. PLEASE NOTE the wiring in the engine picture is all been redone and clean - sorry I don't have a better pic at the moment. The car's original trans and bottom end come with the car if the buyer wants them. Car also comes with the licensed decals from Shelby to go on the car after paint, car also comes with new Brembo rotors.This car will start and drive but with the seal leak on the turbo it will smoke a little. Also with the exhaust dumping behind the front tire its pretty loud to drive on the street. This car just needs paint and the interior cleaned up and you have a perfect, head turning driver. It just needs a little more work to be a clean show car or back to original.Car has been sitting in storage off and on for the last 8 years or so - never driven in the snow or anything like that just either in the storage unit or covered in the garage. I didn't have a job that required me to live downtown Chicago when I bought it and don't see me ever getting the time to finish or enjoy the car. I'm sure I'm leaving something out but please look at the pictures and know that you are getting a great - SOLID - car that is only going to climb in value. The bodies are all aluminum with a steel chassis which are identical to the original car. This car has been fitted with a Keith Kraft all aluminum 427 side oiler, which has been bored and stroked to 482 cubic inches. The engine was built with all premium parts, including a roller cam. The engine was dynoed at 622 horsepower. A Richmond 6-speed over-drive transmission delivers the power to the Salsbury rear end, which has an aluminum center section packing 3:31 gears and a Detroit locker. All this horsepower is brought to a halt via Wilwood 1 ¼ vented rotors and 4 piston caliper disc brakes on all 4 corners. The Kirkham aluminum bodies are the only bodies used by Shelby American for the reproduction Cobras. This particular car was ordered and built by a well-educated real Cobra enthusiast who carefully chose the options that allow the driver to experience what it was like to drive one of these Cobras back in the mid ‘60s. It has been meticulously maintained, always stored in a climate controlled environment and has approximately 8,000 miles since new. It was driven on the 2007 Power Tour and delivered 12-14 miles to the gallon at 70mph. The car is extremely reliable, and at just under 2200lbs is extremely responsive. With a beautiful black finish and subtle dark gray stripes it will surely drop jaws as quickly as it drops the competition. The waiting list to obtain a brand new Kirkham Cobra is over a year just to begin the build.
