1 CA Owner, ONLY 39,000 MILES! 1985 Nissan Maxima V6 The first car to wear the Maxima name was introduced in 1980 for the 1981 model year. It was essentially a Japanese-market Datsun Bluebird 910 with a longer nose to accommodate the inline-six engine. In the fall of 1984, the first front-wheel drive Maxima was introduced. This Maxima was available with a 157 hp (117 kW) 3.0 L VG30E V6 engine and a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission. These engines were shared with the 300ZX and was the first V6 engine to be mass-produced in Japan. On offer is this superb one-Southern California owner from new 1985 Nissan Maxima. It was purchased new in Los Angeles by a service engineer for Rolls-Royce/Bentley of Beverly Hills and amateur pilot. Recently retired with 40+ years experience with Rolls/Bentley, the Nissan was meticulously maintained and serviced by him to very exacting standards… and it shows! The mechanical condition of the car is utterly superb. Serviced to ready the car for sale, it is in perfect tune, with responsive power, perfectly smooth shifting 4-speed automatic transmission with electric overdrive, excellent brakes and suspension. Such meticulous care also carries over to the cosmetics of the car. Never having been in an accident, the original paint is in excellent, practically unmarked condition. It still retains great luster and depth of shine. Brightwork is all excellent, as is all the glass. The original alloy wheels are scuff-free and shod with excellent tires with plenty of tread remaining. The spacesaver spare was deemed unsafe by the owner, so he sourced a brand new alloy to match the rest of the car with new tire. Both ‘spares’ come with the car. The interior is in as exquisite as the rest of the car. Seats, dash, carpets, panels and headliner are unmarked and in excellent condition throughout. All electrical systems work perfectly including the stereo, optional electric seats, and cold AC. Even the cars phonograph-based voice warning system is fully operational. Warnings like those for a door being open, etc. are relayed through a mini phonograph and played for the driver to hear, such as, "door is open, key is in ignition" and the like. This is an amazing opportunity to acquire a classic Japanese sedan with absolutely impeccable ownership history, maintained by an expert mechanic with a Carfax certified 39,000 miles from new! The car is accompanied by the original owners manual, original unused tools, but no service records, because the owner is better qualified than most technicians who could have worked on the car!
