This is not a standard 2006 Mazda 6. It is a 2006 MazdaSpeed6 (sometimes referred to as a Speed 6 or a MS6). Relatively similar looking but there are still several significant differences. If you are not familiar with this, it is similar to the difference between a Subaru Impreza WRX STI vs. a standard Subaru Impreza. This MS6 has as much speed and handling ability as a Subaru STI, but with more room in the back seat, and at less than half the price of an STI. Engine is a 2.3L in-line 4 cylinder DISI Turbo w/ 6-speed manual transmission, approx. 87k miles (mileage is approximate because car is still being driven until sold), AWD, 274hp & 280 lb-ft torque, 13.0 sec 1/4 mi., Silver Titanium Gray Metallic exterior w/ black leather interior incl. heated seats and cold A/C. New clutch & flywheel. New power steering pump and power steering cooler. The front wheel bearings have been replaced with with new OEM bearings. Preventative maintenance completed on schedule, including regular oil changes, at dealership by Mazda tech. specifically trained for work on this model vehicle. The car has never had a drop of gas that was not 93 octane (required combustion point associated with this engine). Car is stock/OEM with no aftermarket modifications. Includes a set of winter wheels w/ winter tires in addition to the summer wheels and tires. New Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 XL summer tires with only a couple thousand miles on them are mounted on the OEM 18" wheels. Winter tires are Michelin X-Ice and are mounted on 17" wheels and are presently on the car. Summer and Winter tires are each the highest ranked tires in their respective categories that will fit this car. Combining AWD, the manual trans, stability control, and the winter wheels & tires, this car has been significantly better at driving in the snow and ice of northern Michigan than any 4x4 truck/suv that I've ever driven. Some rust forming mostly in the rear wheel wells. Keyless entry, keyless ignition, Bose audio system, heated seats, power moon roof. Original owner. Adult non-smoker owned, never raced/tracked. Selling since recently had 4th child and this car only seats 5; would keep it if it could fit 6 people. Car is presently located in Traverse City, MI and can be made available to see by appointment. 60+ Pictures under Description text! Selling our 2008 Infiniti M35x. Car has the V6 3.5 engine in it with the 5-speed auto transmission, all-wheel-drive. Great looking car here and drives very well, no known issues with anything, no pulling or noises anywhere.Tires and brakes are still in good shape with plenty of life remaining on them. Brakes, rotors, and tires were all put on new in April of 2014. Two things I do want to point out is there is dent on the right side quarter panel by the door, i did try to take a picture of it so it's visible but you can barely see it, a half loaded shopping cart ran into it at the grocery store, also front passenger door window chrome piece has a dent on it (pictured), other than that, the rest of the body just has has normal wear. Loaded with a lot of cool features like: AFS Xenon headlights, cooled and heated front seats, rain sensor, navi, back-up camera, smart key, and a lot of other gadgets.Very fun car to drive with plenty of power out of the V6. Reason for selling is that we recently upgraded to a Chevy Suburban for a family car as the Infiniti was a little tight for two adults, two kids in car-seats, and plus luggage, we travel down to Ohio a lot to visit family and the Suburban seems as perfect option for room and comfort in our situation.We owned this car for little over a year now and put on about 12000 miles on it, cannot say anything bad about it, it's been as reliable as it gets and a GREAT handling sedan in the snow especially with our northern MI winters. All we did to it is oil changes every 3000 miles, other than that it did not ask for anything else. Rebuilt title is due to damage that was to the front left side, all that was replaced is front bumper cover, left fender, and left headlight, all structure and cooling is original and was not damaged, did not have any frame or suspension damage and no airbags were deployed. Had VERY minimal damage and honestly a little surprised as to why it got a salvage title. I can provide photos of the car before repairs upon request.Repairs were done right, passed Michigan salvage inspection and is good on the road like any other clean title vehicle. Title in hand and ready to go. Up for auction is a 2008 M35x, good parts car here or a project if somebody is up for it. I bough this car at the insurance auction with intentions of fixing it, but that didn't happen since the damage was too deep to that right passenger side, so what I ended up doing is buying another one and fixing it with these parts. Some parts I used for my builder and a few things I already sold over the last two years. The odometer did light up with some 41xxx miles on it, can't remember the exact number. I know you can still get a lot of money back parting this all out individually but I just do not have the time or desire to do that now. This is a great little cruiser fresh out of the barn and there is no reserve on the auction. This is basically road ready for some Spring/Summer cruising with a patina look to it, or a very straight forward restoration with some paint and a new top and very light restoration in the interior and you have a really nice car and possibly flip it and make a buck. It is very complete and all original car that will need very little whether you fully restore it or just to cruise around as is, or while you restore it. Finish -- Grade C-: Older repaint of the original Wedgewood Blue color paint, faded, probably would buff out ok. Body -- Grade B: Very nice body I took photos of some rust in the rear wheel wells. Front passenger fender has some filler in the bottom of it. Solid floors. Frame is straight and never damaged in an accident. Bumpers - Grade B+: Bumpers are straight originals with light patina. Bright work – Grade B : All trim is on the car. Other then some some very light patina is all original and will clean up well. Glass Grade B+ : All original glass in very good condition. All rubber and fuzzies are original and will need replacement. Interior B: Great all original interior, no rips in the original upholstery. Carpet is a little discolored but no holes or major wear spots. Great door and rear panels. Dash is clean and will just need some light cleaning and restoration. Factory AM radio works, could use a speaker. The convertible top needs replacing, and the power top motor would not activate when I hit the switch. These are pretty easy to service and parts are readily available. Wipers work great, no turn signals but parking lights come on. No headlights when the switch is turned on, maybe the headlight switch or lamps? Fuse? . Wheels Grade B+ : Factory correct steel wheels 14 X 6 with factory original hubcaps Tires Grade B- : Early bias ply tires, some weather checking, excellent tread, holds air, rolls down the road smooth, no idea on the age. Probably will need to be replaced due to age. Suspension Grade OK: Visual check, is complete with no signs of wear or damage, have not road tested other then around our parking lot. Exhaust Grade NOT OK: No exhaust system whatsoever, well need a new one installed. Rear-end Grade OK: Numbers matching original rear differential contains original open 3:08 rear-end gear. Ignition Grade OK: Factory original points set up, starts up easily with no misses. Air Conditioning/Heater Grade B: Non/A/C car, no leaks, fan works, original heater controls and work as designed. The fan motor operates and works like new. Transmission Grade OK: Original 2 speed Powerglide speed with factory original shifter and linkage. No leaks fluid looks clean. Brakes Grade A-: Power Brakes with drums all around. New Master cylinder, all new wheel cylinders, rear axle brake lines all recently replaced. Engine Grade A: Original 300 V8 with 2 barrel carburetor. Complete with all original brackets and equipment, nice complete original car under the hood. Does not smoke on start up or after warmed up. No noises or knocks cold or warm. Runs smooth under acceleration. No serious leaks just some light weeping around the valve covers. New gas tank and sending unit. Runs well!!! Summary: This is a great little car that needs a little if any work to have a lot of inexpensive fun with. I seriously considered just keeping it to tool around in to the beach this summer or run errands in as is. I figured I would drop the top and just leave it in the garage. Currently it needs an exhaust that would be about $200 installed. That said it is an awesome base for a restoration that requires no real serious repair. Repaint this car and add a new top/repair the power top and some light restoration on the interior and under the hood and you have a great restored car worthy of local shows. If you are a paint and body car you have a great investment! Even if you are not, convertibles are excellent investments and hold their value well.
