Brakes, Plugs, and Plug wires are all that's new3rd owner of this fine American auto, 2nd seller only had it a few months to sellBackground: This car was purchased new at Greenwich Lincoln(no longer in business) in Greeenwich, CT. The original owner passed away and his wife refused to part with the car he had loved so much. Always garage kept (obviously considering its as new), her children would keep the oil changed and drive it a few times a month during the spring/summer months to keep it running. Skip ahead 30+ years, the car is sold to its second owner who cleans it up, waxes it, changes the brakes, plugs and wires and then puts it up for sale, after first driving it from Greenwich to Chicago to visit family. A few months later, I locate the car for sale and had been unable to find one in similar original condition with low miles that I could have for many years. I have put about 2,000 miles on it. I have had this vehicle for over three years now and in no way want to part with it but am losing the storage location where it is kept and cannot bear the thought of this piece of history spending time outside of a climate controlled garage!This car is basically a 36 Year old brand new car the best I can describe it. It gets an enormous amount of attention every time it hits the road!I did repair two things upon my purchase of the vehicle that should be mentioned...the clock did not work and also the headlight covers would open within seconds of the vehicle being turned off. This was not acceptable so I had the clock repaired and I located a NOS Ford/Lincoln Vacuum Valve and spent $150 for it to keep the car original the best I could!This car is a beautiful piece of American automotive beauty and as you probably know, the last of the big Lincoln's!
