1 owner Saab 9000 CSE with 59K Original miles in great condition. The car is great in almost every way. Perfect smooth drivetrain tires are all even and 75%+ exhaust and braking are all in great shape no noise shimmy nothing. The paint is in great original shape as is the leather seats and interior. All power options work Has a sunroof CD player climate control Harmon Kardon sound system. The engine bay is as new as is the trunk. As good as the car is there is some minor flaw consistent with a 1995. The abs light is on--I believe its just a faulty sensor. There is a 4 inch crack on the lower window(and I put a picture in) the passenger front door lock is broke but the door opens and shouts normal and can be locked inside. There is a couple of minor dings and one smallish blemish on the drivers side but is minor . Takes almost nothing away from overall spectacular condition. Car is in condition to be driven cross country its in really great mechanical shape. 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Convertible Only 56,000 documented miles!!!! Wedgwood Blue, Black Interior & Black Top Original Rocket 350 cu in Engine, Automatic Transmission Extremely clean original condition with recent repaint in original factory correct color! Runs & Drives absolutely beautifully!! Starts right up. Idles great. Knocks down beautifully and purrs like a kitten. No smoke. Put her in drive, and the automatic transmission shifts through the gears unnoticeably. I have owned dozens of contemporary and classic cars and nearly every type of car, foreign & domestic, low end, high end, etc. and I can say that this is probably the smoothest and most comfortable car to sit in and drive that I have EVER owned! Everything operates as it should. With the exception of very few minor imperfections here and there, the car is extremely clean inside & out! Tires and top are only a couple years old and are like new. The paint is a quality repaint of the original color. Please see the pictures and pay particular attention to the photos of the engine bay! If you are looking for a Greenwich or Palm Beach Concours winner, this may not be your car, but, if you are looking for a solid, extremely clean original car that will turn heads everywhere & get you a few awards at local car shows, then look no further!! It has yet to leave the garage without getting a compliment (usually many!) before it returns home! The Wedgwood Blue is gorgeous and makes the car stand out from all the red and white convertibles that are out there. If you are considering this vehicle, you probably know that this one one of the last big Detroit convertibles of their generation. Classic car buffs agree that these cars are blue-chip investments with their worth increasing in recent years.... And projected to jump even higher in the next few years. Otherwise stated, maintain it and it will only increase in value... Perhaps significantly, sooner than later!! Also, this is a pre-catalytic converter car (cars sold in the U.S. from 1975 onward had to have them!) which makes it more desirable due to its better horsepower. MODEST RESERVE! Car is being sold AS-IS with no guarantee and/or warranty expressed, written or implied. The car is over 40 years old and as such, one should expect imperfections, etc. of a car this old. I am not a dealer and have included MANY pictures for the prospective bidder/buyer to review and satisfy themselves with the overall condition of the car. Mutually conveniently arranged inspections of the vehicle can also be arranged to further satisfy anyone as to the car's condition, but must be made prior to auction close. It is the bidders/buyers responsibility to take all reasonable measures to satisfy themselves with the condition of the car before entering a bid/buying the car. The car is currently registered in the state of CT and is safe to operate on the roads in CT. Connecticut does not issue a title on cars manufactured before 1981, so, this car does not come with a CT title. I do have an older NJ Title that I am happy to include. Included will be an official CT Bill of Sale.

This is a relist with an adjusted price. Let me make some comments: There are many cars in very tired condition and are subsequently parked. Five or ten years later, these cars are discovered and need to be commissioned as a result of time spent unused. Just to get them to go and stop. This is usually the easy and cheapest part of the process. Those do it yourself projects with rebuild kits for carbs and brakes to get a car to go and stop don't come close to what is involved to re trim an interior or prepare and paint a car to the level of this one. I have known this car for 5 plus years. Here is the back story as I know it: This car was restored 5 plus years ago. The level of restoration was paint, complete interior and mechanical sorting. Shortly after this work the car was delivered to the East Coast where it remained unused. To some people's understanding, it was driven across the Country. At any rate, the car was in top mechanical condition. It was stored at a business. Sometimes indoors, other times out. After a while the battery went flat and the car remained outdoors since then, about three years. The new seat trim was covered. The sun degraded the dash and there was moisture damage to some wood as well as the rugs in the driver's area. I saw this car not long after it's arrival from the West Coast. Everything was fresh. Not concours, certainly a trophy winner at a local show. Powering up the battery, the motor turned nicely on the button. The carbs flooded and leaked and the accelerator was sticky. I did not try any more. The brake pedal will go to the floor. The parking brake worked and the transmission selector functions. The shocks still have shiny paint. The non power steering feels tight. With the exception of a perished air cleaner seal and a temporary coolant catch container, the engine bay is in good order. Proper Lucas plug wires, no hardware store wire terminals, etc. The Michelin tires have dried sidewalls. It's a shame as they were almost new but heartening as they represent the condition of the car mechanically to some degree. Correct and proper but some perishables have to be looked after. The driver's door needs to be adjusted. The paint along the gaps has chipped because of this and the latching mechanism is fussy. That being said, the other doors shut perfectly with outstanding gaps. On the subject of doors opening and closing, the benchmark of the era was the Mercedes W108 body. It still is but I am impressed with this car and I think it speaks to the integrity of the body. The paint is contaminated. Claying might be the third step in cleaning it. However, it still shines and is not faded. Sighting down the sides, it is very straight, not wavy. There is the previously mention chipping on the driver's door gap as well as some slight damage to the driver's door bottom. There is slight bubbling in one or two spots near the wheel wells. The left front fender has a small dent the is easy to reach through the wheel well. There is some slight pitting on the bumper horns. There is a small rust area under the rear glass trim. Underneath, the boxed rockers look good. The floors show all the original stampings and contours and not patched over. The interior wood needs attention. It was like new when I first saw the car. Some still is, some can be polished and some needs veneer. The dash pull out table isn't good. The drivers rug needs to be replaced as well as that on the sill. On that subject, there are still remnants of the interior restoration materials packed in the trunk. Like the tires, bittersweet but easy to look at it positively. The leather still smells like new. This is a Jaguar and it does not smell musty, it has a great leather aroma. The headliner is still like new but needs a little re tucking around the rear window trim. Trunk remains like new. Please study the pictures. I can load 24. I have more but I will load an overview. This is to give an idea of the car. If you are interested, call me @203 675 1343. I will work with you to give the best description of the car.

This Jaguar was sold recently by means of the high bidder meeting reserve. As these things normally go, the buyer who did not see the car was not able to complete the sale. It's all good and here was the listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171805779470?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1559.l2649 It seems if this car needed at least 15,000 dollars of welding, paint and interior, but...BUT it was three thousand dollars it would sell. Maybe there is some romance in getting an old heap to sputter to life that is lost on me; an allure that a nice car under the same circumstances just doesn't have. Fuel and brakes are not beyond the reach of a shade tree do it yourself mechanic. Body, paint and leather work, not so much. The homework that was necessary before the purchase of a neglected car that was parked for a reason was often not done and because of these overlooked realities, the cycle repeats and the car is parked again. Have I seen that movie before!
