Normal 0 You are bidding a pretty solid, Arizona, TRUE big block 1969 Dodge Charger project vehicle. This is a BASE 383, 727, column shift, vinyl top Charger with clean title. This car spent its life in Arizona then moved to Mississippi then up to Ohio. It is in pretty solid condition being from Arizona. Floors, rockers, trunk, frame, undercarriage, torque boxes, wheel houses, doors and deck lid are SUPER SOLID and RUSTFREE! Even the passenger side sheetmetal is RUSTFREE (door, fender and even the quarter panel).Someone added disc brakes to the front. Now the bad, being from Arizona and having a vinyl top, the heat destroyed the top. It was never changed. The car moved down to Mississippi in more of a wet environment where the water got under the vinyl top and rusted out the entire roof. The roof section will need to be replaced! A NEW AMD roof panel is included with the car! Also more bad news, the driver side was side swiped at one point and someone “Frankensteined” patch pieces in. So you will need to replace the drivers side fender, door and quarter panel. I do have a set of rust-free doors that go with it. Most of the trim, glass, and bumpers are there. The front grill assembly is in very nice shape and looks operational. Some of the of the interior is there but the seats are shot, just the frames are left. The good portion of the interior is there. Trim, wiring, tail lights, moldings, etc. Most of it is fair-to-poor condition. Bucket seat frames are fair condition. Steering wheel and lots of misc. parts that go with the car. Interior will need complete restoration! There is no motor or trans! Car does roll easy. This car has been sitting for awhile and has passed through many owners in this current state. Sold As Is! Please ask questions before bidding. I have tried to describe the accurately as I can but I make not guaranties. NO RETURNS! Terms: Contact must be made by the buyer within 48 hours and a non-refundable $500 Paypal deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction close, balance due within 7 days of auction close as cash or bank wire only. Due to space limitations and other upcoming auctions, buyer MUST take possession within 7 days of auction close unless other arrangements are agreed upon. We can store this vehicle for $125 a month (in advance) if you need time to make affordable shipping arrangements. Paid storage is in a dry, heated, secure indoor location. I do not finance. No trade or barter. I am not responsible for any fees, or taxes or any out-of-pocket costs. Buyer is responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. No warranty, sold as is. Vehicles listed have clear Ohio titles. Shipping is the Buyer’s responsibility. Will not ship but will try to work with you if you hire a shipping company. I can help with local shipping and work with your shipper. However, since this is my residence, arrangements will have to be made for the shipping company to pick up the car when I can be home to attend it. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and related arrangements and payments. Vehicle must be paid in full before it leaves my premises. If shipping out of the country I do have a shipper that can help make your arrangements. He ships mostly to the Scandinavian countries. Insurance: I highly recommend that the buyer put insurance on the vehicle upon purchase as I am not responsible for any damage incurred after leaving my premises. Please ask all of your questions and/or come see the vehicle before you bid because a bid is a commitment to purchase. As you can see by my feedback (100% positive), I describe my items accurately. I have sold other vehicles on eBay to happy purchasers. Good luck and happy bidding! Normal 0 Normal 0

You are bidding on a beautiful, western, rust-free, TRUE Big Block 1967 Charger with a 440ci, auto transmission, power disc brakes and power steering. This Charger is super solid, with a straight body and a very nice black interior. She’s in great mechanical condition too with a rebuilt 440 engine that runs good, upgraded disc brakes and new tires! Please enjoy the video https://youtu.be/YjyfYJGLTYE The Body. is a western body which is in great solid shape! She’s nice, shiny, and straight with a decent driver-quality paint job. The body was repainted bright red some years back by a previous owner. There are no major dings or dents and the paint has good depth with no fading or peeling paint. The body has had some minor body work performed in the past and will need some minor repairs due to some rust bubbles in several of the usual locations. Pictures don’t really show the bubbles very well. I don’t see any evidence of any major body work or patch panels ever installed. It presents itself well but it’s not a show car in its current condition. There are some chips here and there since it has been driven and enjoyed. There is also a minor dent in the center of the hood. The body has 67K and most everything is original. The condition of the chrome and brite work is in nice condition with little to no pitting, even the vent windows chrome is nice. Bumpers are very nice and shiny too! Most need polishing and some minor restoration to some dented pieces. The glass is good with a chip in the windshield and some scratches on the side ¼ glass. All the windows do operate. Weatherstrippings are good to nice condition but some pieces could be replaced. All of the windows, doors, trunks, and hood all operate, lock and unlock. The door keys do not work in the doors. The Black Interior is in very nice original condition. The original bucket seats are in very nice soft shape with no rips or tears. Console is in great shape with just some minor wear. Headliner is in great condition. Carpeting is original and is showing its age but is intact. The original door panels are decent with some minor flaws as pictured. Dash pad is in great condition, still soft and not faded. The dash is in good condition with some of the gauges still functioning. Headlights and most importantly the flip ups do work! Marker lights, directionals and wipers work. Blower motor and horn are not currently working. The Drivetrain was originally a 383 2bbl and now has a 440ci 4bbl engine. The motor runs great as heard in the video. Doesn’t smoke or make any noises. There’s no info on the engine at all! No receipts or documentation. Transmission works perfectly, no slipping or issues. The power steering is good and she steers fine. The front brakes were upgraded by a previous owner to a CPP Power disc brake kit with new booster, master cylinder, calipers, rotors, pads and adjustable proportioning valve. Brakes work decently but some minor adjustments are needed to get the full potential. The Undercarriage is in super solid rust free condition! No patch panels or repairs made, just an all original clean undercarriage. Floor pans and frame are original and in great condition. Super solid with no rust or patch panels. Just some of the factory undercoating still remains. The exhaust system was converted to headers and a dual pipe system. Tires are new 235/60R15 on all 4 corners. Other info: Aftermarket radio and rear speakers are installed. No receipts or documentations for the car or any work that has been performed. The car is in pretty much original condition except for the repaint, engine and upgraded front brakes. She has been driven and has some flaws but over all it’s a very nice example of a ’67 Charger that you can take to a cruise or take it up to the next level of restoration. Car comes with one set of factory keys and clear Ohio title. Again, this car has had some minor body work performed in the past and will need some minor attention again. It’s a solid car but with some minor restoration could be restored to a show level without major expense. Normal 0 Terms: Contact must be made by the buyer within 48 hours and a non-refundable $500 Paypal deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction close, balance due within 7 days of auction close as cash or bank wire only. Due to space limitations and other upcoming auctions, buyer MUST take possession within 7 days of auction close unless other arrangements are agreed upon. I can store this vehicle for $125 a month (in advance) if you need time to make affordable shipping arrangements. This car has been consigned to me for sale, but I am not the owner. I have made my best effort to accurately represent the car based on what I have observed in evaluating it and preparing it for sale, and what I have been told by the owner, but this is the extent of my knowledge. Please ask questions before bidding! This is being solid AS IS with no warranty or guarantees and is up to the buyer to verify any and all info listed above in the description! You are welcome to arrange a viewing of this vehicle. Vehicles that are described as Estate or Barn Find have usually been sitting for several years. Unless otherwise noted, these vehicles need to have a system/safety check before embarking on any long road trips and are recommended to be trailered to your destination. Shipping is the Buyer’s responsibility. I will not ship but will work with your shipping company. A list of contact information for some of the shipping companies previous Buyers have used can be provided upon request for your quotation and shipping needs. Pick-up arrangements (by the Buyer or the shipping company) must be coordinated in advance to insure my availability since I am often in and out on business. Local delivery may be possible within 200 miles of zip code 44056 for an extra charge. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and related arrangements and payments. Vehicle must be paid in full before it leaves my premises. \ \

Rules, policies, engineering edicts, and other guidelines ensured uniformity and a strict adherence to the Alfred Sloan hierarchy, but creative folks could always find a workaround. But sometimes, GM did it to itself, creating something, then hiding it from the public. The L88 427 Corvette was such a situation, where Chevy hid it in plain sight by giving it an artificially low horsepower rating and a huge price tag to coax buyers into buying a more street-friendly and affordable L71 427/435 instead. But sometimes—sometimes—they just built something then forgot to tell anyone about it at all, and that’s the case with this 1969 Chevrolet Impala SS427 convertible. If you wanted an Impala SS in 1969, a 427 was the only engine choice. The standard engine was the L36 which made 390 horsepower with a hydraulic cam and pretty friendly street manners, ideal for a big luxury car like this. A lesser-known option was the LS1, which made a relatively tame 335 horsepower. But for reasons that aren’t altogether clear, there was a third 427—the legendary L72 425 horsepower version—that GM decided the public didn’t need to know about. No advertising promotions, no mention of this motor in any of the promotional and sales materials, and unless you were sharp with the order form, you probably didn’t even know you could get such a thing in 1969, because Chevy certainly wasn’t talking about it. A total of 546 L72 engines were built and they were installed in a variety of Chevy vehicles (they were not exclusive to the Impala, you could get it in your Kingswood station wagon if you were savvy), making them quite rare. Mission accomplished, Chevrolet! This incredible 1969 Impala SS427 convertible is a real-deal L72 car, purchased new by John Cornstubble (no, I’m not making this up) of El Dorado Springs, Missouri on May 12, 1969. The number of L72 Impala SS427 convertibles built can probably be counted on one hand, making them some of the rarest and most highly-sought of Chevy’s heavy cruisers. Even more significantly, this one is fully documented, with original purchase documents, Protect-O-Plate, and receipts from nearly five decades of life. It still carries its original, numbers-matching L72 427/425 engine and TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, and was recently treated to a cost-no-object restoration by the pros at Boot Hill Automotive Resurrection in Toronto, Ontario. We have photographs documenting, well, just about everything as well as significant ownership history and photos of the car in-period. This car has one heck of a pedigree no matter how you look at it. Here are the relevant details: Protect-O-Plate: 164679S (037146) Production # 1: Chevrolet Motor Division 64: Impala 8 cylinder 67: Convertible 9: 1969 T0907LS T: Tonawanda 0907: September 7 build date LS: TH400 for Impala SS 427/425 Hi-Perf L72 69Y275: Build date of the TH400 transmission, October 1st of 1968 (275th day of 1969) DK1015G DK: Posi-Traction 3:55 Large Ring G: Detroit Gear and Axle 1015: October 15, 1968 1: Power steering 1: Power brakes 3: AM radio 3: Front disc brakes Cowl Tag: 69: Model year 1969 1: Chevrolet Motor Division 64: Impala 8 cylinder 67: Convertible STL: St. Louis assembly plant 138170: Sequence number 858: Parchment vinyl bench seat 65: Olympic Gold B: Black vinyl convertible top 10C: Third week of October build date In person, the restoration is simply spectacular. Olympic Gold is this car’s original color and it works rather well on the full-sized ragtop, offering just the right combination of flash and elegance. The car appears to have been extremely solid prior to the restoration and as far as we can tell, it’s still wearing all its original sheetmetal, including floors and quarter panels. The big doors open and close so easily and precisely that your first few slams are a little too hard, and the hood latches with just your fingertips. The two-stage urethane paint has a fantastic shine complements of some of the best guys in the business, and it has been color-sanded and buffed to a fantastic shine. All of the correct emblems are in place, and yes, for those of you wondering, that stick-on deck lid ‘SS’ is how the factory did it. The bumpers have been refinished, the stainless is polished, and if there’s any demerit on the car, one of the wheel arch moldings has a few minor dings in it, as it is surely original. But there just aren’t many nits to pick on this gorgeous car. The cowl tag says this car original carried a Parchment interior, but when it was restored it was treated to a correct black interior instead, and the contrast is striking. Obviously, as a color change, everything in the car was replaced with a brand new piece, including the seat covers, door panels, side panels, and all the little detail pieces in between. The dash pad is excellent and the carpets are brand new, replicating the original weave. The upscale Impala also received some warm-looking faux wood accents that perfectly match the woodgrained steering wheel, which sits on an optional tilt steering column, a rather rare option, SS or not. This car also carries factory power windows, which is a very desirable feature in a big luxury car like this, and the wide bench seats mean there’s plenty of room for everyone when you go cruising. The gauges show bright, crisp markings and we strongly suspect that the 43,500 or so miles shown on the odometer is correct, as it was not rolled back during the restoration. The only notable deviation from stock is a later digital AM/FM/cassette stereo radio in the dash, but the original pushbutton AM radio is included with the sale of the car if you’d like to take it back to 100% stock condition. The top is brand new black vinyl with a correct glass rear window, and it powers itself up and down easily, latching at the header without a struggle. It fits beautifully and we suspect that our photo session was the first time it’s ever been down. The good stuff is all under the hood, however. The L72 is the real deal, with a fantastic big camshaft idle and a torque curve that feels like it could pull forever. While someone with true performance intentions might have purchased a Chevelle or even a Camaro in 1969, lucky Mr. Cornstubble got a full-sized luxury car that hits several levels below its weight class, because it is surprisingly fast. The engine was fully rebuilt to stock specs and still carries its original cylinder heads and correct aluminum “Winters” intake with a big Holley 4-barrel up top. It starts easily and while it’s a bit grumpy when it’s cold, it is nevertheless content to idle all day and sits in traffic without getting cranky. The engine bay is detailed for show, with Chevy Orange paint on the block itself and proper fasteners and hardware throughout. There are some who say that the L72 should have an open-element air cleaner, but it appears that this air cleaner has been on the car from a very early age, perhaps even when it was new, and the original chrome valve covers were replaced with painted valve covers simply because the owner liked the low-key look better (the original chrome valve covers are included with the car). An Optima battery provides the juice and makes the big, high-compression V8 spin over easily, although it’s not 100% authentic, of course. Underneath, the original TH400 3-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt and bolted to the back of the 427 and linked to a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end with 3.55 gears and a Posi limited slip unit inside. Much of the suspension features upgraded Hotchkis components, including a pair of seriously beefy sway bars, because the intention was to build an L72 that would be a blast to drive. You’ll also find a beautifully crafted stainless steel exhaust system with welds that should be on display in a museum; it’s just beautifully done. The floors, frame, and suspension components are in exemplary condition with correct hardware used throughout, so it wouldn’t take much to put this car into 100% original, show-worthy shape, but it would truly be a shame to take it off the road. Simple color-matched steel wheels with “dog dish” hubcaps were how this car came from the factory, so they were cleaned, painted, and fitted with fat 235/75/15 Coker redline radials for a period-perfect look. Documentation is pretty extensive. There’s the original Protect-O-Plate and service booklet, manuals, and an album full of restoration photos, all of which will accompany the car. This is quite likely the finest of its kind anywhere, and with a strong pedigree and equally strong performance, this awesome Imp makes for the best kind of hobby car. corporation like General Motors.
