For sale: 1992 Honda Accord EX 4 cyl/5 spd, very good condition with 198k. Everything works! From the power windows and sunroof, to the A/C and rear window defroster. Even the power antenna still works. We are the second owners of the car, the original owner had it garage-kept. The owners manual is in the glove box and the trunk has an excellent spare as well as the jack and required items for changing a tire. The original stereo has been upgraded and features a double DIN Clarion CD player with a USB and AUX input, BLUETOOTH audio streaming and hands-free phone calls. An Alpine 50w x 4 channel amplifier running Infinity Reference 6.75" speakers in the front doors and Kicker 6.5" in the rear deck. The subwoofer is a throw-back Kenwood 8" powered tube. As well, I also still have all the original factory equipment, including the CODE to reactivate the factory radio. I have also added a Viper keyless entry system and auto headlight control unit. I am a former MECP certified car audio and security technician, and have been professionally installed this type of equipment for over 20 years. I had recently had new tires put on and a new timing belt and all other drive belts. Avg. MPG is 29. Runs and drives excellent! All glass and paint is in good shape. The interior is excellent and has no stains or rips. This car is worth what I'm asking, so please don't try to low-ball my price. This car needs nothing and runs and drives down the road as good as any other out there. This car drives perfectly, has no issues (no check engine light codes), does not smoke or use oil. The original owner also kept all receipts and records, and I have the binder she kept them in when I bought the car. We are only selling this car because we have collected a couple too many daily driver cars, and we just can't drive them all. Reasonable offers will be considered, but telling me what Blue Book is on this car only tells me this is not the car for you. My price is based on KBB pricing, and then what I have put into the car, with new parts and upgrades. KBB pricing doesn't include whether the car needs a timing belt tomorrow or had one put on yesterday (that's a $300-$400 swing). Are the tires nearly new? or have less than 20% tread left? If a car needs repairs and an individual car shopper deducts those expenses from a KBB price, shouldn't the opposite be true? Knowing you won't need long term expensive items for a while makes it worth a few more bucks than the average similar car. Also, this car has been adult driven, regularly maintained and well taken care of overall. No children's messes and food found under the seats. The body and paint is in good shape for a 23 year old car and has been a very reliable car. For the next 40K miles it won't need anything but gas and oil changes, I estimate the tires will need replacing around then. Another 40-50K and it'll be about time to consider replacing the timing belt again, probably tires again, and somewhere in between, the brakes will probably need to be addressed. We bought this car as a second car for my wife, and then she bought another car, so basically, it's a third car, we don't need this many vehicles. I'm not flipping this car, or making money off of it, we've owned the car for about a year and a half, I did the upgrades for our personal use, and honestly I'm attempting to get about 50% of that money back out of what I spent. If you don't want the stereo equipment, and prefer the original equipment reinstalled, let me know when you make an offer, and I can have the aftermarket equipment out and the factory reinstalled. I would like to sell this car to someone that would like to have a decent, comfortable, reliable car for daily transportation needs and can appreciate the care that has gone into this vehicle over the years. This car also makes a very nice first car for a teen driver, and everyone should know how to drive a standard transmission. Since I taught my step-daughter to drive standards she now only buys manual trans vehicles, she likes that her friends won't jump in her car wanting to drive, as nearly none of them know how to work a clutch. (It's funny to hear her tell the stories). * As a side note: I have another '92 Accord that I drive almost everyday, it has 230K miles on it, and is very similar in it's condition except the paint is in very bad shape, but otherwise starts and drives great, doesn't smoke or use oil in excess (I might be down about a quart when I change the oil the next time). If you have any questions or would like more pics, email me at the contact info attached. NO SPAM PLEASE. Thanks.
