I'm selling my 1999 Nissan Maxima for parts (I'm not sure which trim version it is). I'm hoping to get more than scrap for it (a running engine and transmission should be more than worth it). I personally own the car and have the clear title in hand. I'm selling the car because now my only key fails to disable the immobilizer. Notable Pros: Engine still ran smoothly.5-Speed manual transmission was still smooth.All four tires have about 30,000 miles on them.All four alloy wheels are in excellent condition.All window motors except driver window motor still work flawlessly.All electronic controls still function properly (including dashboard, cruise control, and power driver's seat).All four doors have very minimal physical damage and should still be usable as-is. Key-less entry still works from more than 100ft.Catalytic converter MAY still be usable. Spare tire included. A/C still ran cold.Heat still worked well.Notable Problems: The entire bottom of the windshield is cracked.The exhaust pipes and muffler are rotted out.Frame was already re-welded once before. My only key fails to disable the immobilizer.The fuel tank fill spout leaks sometimes.Brakes work but the front passenger side brake tends to not disengage properly.Driver window motor seemed like it was on its way out. No stereo or speakers. Buyer will need to arrange transport as the car does not start as-is. Once again the car is being sold AS-IS, FOR PARTS. MUST SEE - Now, the car has 101,000 miles. Really nice car, in excellent running condition. I am the second owner. I bought this car from a woman who lives in Vernon, NJ on 9/14/09. I received the car with the mileage of 63,720. She was in her mid nineties and could no longer see over the steering wheel, (don't laugh, we're all going to get old) so her daughter made her sell it. The car does not have air conditioning and I had an AM/FM radio installed. The color is mauve with a burgundy vinyl roof and burgundy, plush velvet seat upholstery. This is exactly how the first owner, originally bought the car. The only thing that ever went into the back seat was my wheelchair. A good cleaning will really make the vinyl stand out and a good waxing will really make the paint, look like new. The following are some of the more expensive repairs, since I bought it: 10-2-09 washer pump & thermostat, 10-8-09 complete tune-up, 2-22-10 wheel cylinder & brakes, 3-3/10-10 oil leak & new radiator, 1-14-11 belts & ignition lock, 3-21-11, motor mounts, 6-21-11 new radiator (Road rock kicked up by a large truck, did some damage to the grill. Thus the new radiator. See Picture #2), 8-16-11 complete brake job, 2-7-12 valve cover gaskets & filters, 9-29-12 rebuilt carburetor and 2-26-14 fuel hose & battery. These are higher priced repairs with a few smaller repairs here and there. I have the chrome trim that came off of the car, for the front, driver's quarter panel (just needs a replacement plastic molding clip, see picture #1). There is a donut, jack and full size spare in the trunk. I also have the original owner's manual and all repair bills. The oil is changed every 2,500 miles, faithfully. Has a few rust spots here and there but it is in overall good condition. The car is also fully equipped with handicapped hand controls and a suicide knob. I am a paraplegic, confined to a wheelchair. I had surgery on my wrist and arm. I am no longer able to lift myself in or out of the car. This is the perfect car for a manual wheelchair user. Ready to be driven away (NOTHING HAS TO BE DONE) Buy with or without the hand controls. If not wanted, I will have them removed. It breaks my heart to have to sell this car. It is such a pleasure and a lot of fun to drive. If the owner takes as good of care as I and the person that I bought it from, did, this vehicle can easily last, over another 100,000 miles. I want it to go to someone who will treat it as well as I did. When I drive down the street, I get nothing but "Thumbs Up" signs. Feel free to ask any questions.
