The carpeting is still the original and is showing typical wear & stains. The dash and trim are all excellent and look new. The engine bay is clean & detailed, and the original 283/230HP V8 engine runs strong with no smoke or funny noises. The original Rochester 4-Barrel carburetor was recently rebuilt and starts and idles like new. The 3 speed manual transmission & clutch feel strong and shift smoothly. The exhaust is newer and sounds good. Brakes are good, steering is good. The gas tank is newer and car has a new battery, cables and is ready to drive & enjoy. The trunk floor is unbelievable! Showing no signs of rust or patch panels and it has the original spare tire & tools neatly in position. The underbody looks good & solid no spray paint or undercoating hiding anything! The body & trim have a few minor typical small dings and dents but there is no rust on the body. Overall a solid - beautiful color combination - original Impala Sport Coupe that runs & drives excellent with only 77,000 original miles - one owner last 52 years – original Warranty book & Owner’s manual still in glove box with last title from 1962 – believed to be ex-dealer demo. To make this car perfect both interior armrest need to be recovered. The exterior paint is very shinny and was recently detailed. The sides from the belt line down have some minor flaws and a few minor cracks in the old lacquer paint. Overall a above average driver quality car that has no rust or patch panels and is original.
