I consider the paint nice. The body is straight when I look down the sides. The paint shines good, I see no dents, no big dings and no rust bubbles. I do see a few touched up chips if I look for them. HOW IS THE BODY? I consider it good. The floors and trunk look like the originals to me, I do see 3 or 4 patches. I did take a picture of the trunk floor that looks original with a couple of metal patches. HOW IS THE ENGINE? It runs good, it is not the original. It is a 350 that fits in on the same mounts and looks the same. Its a good running engine, I hear no knocks or rattles. It is a 4 barrel engine. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a good shifting Turbo 350. Not original, it is a 3 speed and the original Power Glide was a 2 speed. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I consider it a good driver, it is power steering. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? OK for drum brakes. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Good with no holes or worn through place. I de see some minor marks. The headliner looks original, its good, but is a little saggy at a couple of places, see my pictures. HEAD LIGHT ARE AFTER MARKET AND VERY BRIGHT! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! BRAKES LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK, BUT YOU HAVE TO CANCEL THEM MANULLY. BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! INTERIOR LIGHTS WORK! HORN NOT WORKING! WIPERS WORK! RADIO NOT WORKING, BUT I SEE NICE SPEAKERS HOW IS THE CHROME? Not all new, but nice used condition. I see some pitts in the door handles and piece behind the rear window and on the trunk. HOW ARE THE WHEELS? Good looking American Racing wheels. HOW ARE THE TIRES? They are BF Goodrich, not new, but have some wear left. PLEASE LISEN UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a nice car, its does look more perfect in pictures than in person. I took close up pictures and told what I see. Its just not a perfect roll out of the trailer show car, its a real nice driver. WHAT IS THE HISTORY? The car is powered by a rebuilt 440 engine that Keith bought near Covington, Georgia. The Torque Flite automatic transmission is rebuilt, as well as the rear-end with 3.73 gears. The paint is nice, this is an original Go Mango Orange car. The exhaust system has the loud and deep Muscle Car sound with single chamber Flow Master mufflers. Tires are B F Goodrich mounted on Turbine wheels. Nice Saddle Tan interior. Working Dixie air horns and a booming sound system. Viintage heat and air system. Power steering, power brakes and drums all around. Glove box is signed by Bo and Luke Duke, John Schneider and Tom Wopat. HISTORY: This car was born in the St Louis, Missori plant and lived in in San Antonio, Texas for many years before Keith boutht it and brought it to Tennessee in September of 2002. It was built with Go Mango Orange paint, white vinal roof and a 318 engine. The vinal roof was off and car and repainted when Keith bought it, no rust at all on top where roof was. Keith did paint eh Confederate battle flag on the roof. He replaced the 318 engine with a 440 out of a Georgia police car, we did rebuild it. he rebuilt the rear-end, it was a very high ratio, he put a 3.73 ring gear and pinion set as well as bearings. His friend at Pro Torque transmission shop rebuilt the transmission. He has less then 300 miles on all the rebuilt drive train. After driving the car 2 or 3 times a year he has decided to sell it and buy a new car. He did store the car with air plane car, because is does not die and damage parts. 91 pictures below, just scroll down to see them all. VIN: XH29G0G227093 and it does match the VIN PLATE. HOW IS THE ENGINE: Its a 440 that Keith bought near Covington, Georgia. Covington is near where the first few episodes of Dukes of Hazzard was flimed. It was stored in a barn and past owner said it was out of a Georgia police car. The block was cracked due to fozen water so we replaced it with a good block from a local MOPAR mechanic. We did use the heads, crank, rods and other parts of the original engine. Take a look at the picture of the giant exhaust manifolds. We put new rings, bearings, timing chain, timing gears, cam, lifters and oil pump in the engine. He also had a local auto machine shop rebuilt the original heads that we got from the police engine. The engine runs good and I see no leaks, hear no knocks or rattles and see no blue smoke. Keith says the engine has 300 miles on it at the very most. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a 727 Torque Flite. Keith had it rebuilt by his friend at Pro Torque Transimmions. The 727 is a 3 speed automatic. HOW IS THE REAR-END? I hear no whines or growls, its is rebuilt with 3.73 gears with less then 300 miles. HOW IS THE GLASS? Windshield was replaces by Keith and looks new with new rubber. Side glass old, but good. HOW IS THE CHROME? New front and rear bumper not long ago. Door handles original and pitted, gas cap good, but has small pitts. HOW IS THE PAINT JOB? When you look down the sides of the car it is very straight, I see no dents, no dings and no rust bubbles. The paint has a very good shine. If you look with a critical eye you can see that the top and hood are a little different shade, but not bad enought for Keith to redo them. Its a good paint job, just like most and not perfect, you can find a spec if you look for it. No one other than us has ever said a thing about it, "its always the hit of the local car show". AIR CONDITIONING and HEAT is a new Vintage air system. Old heater box is available if you want it. WHEELS AND TIRES: Turbine wheels with BF Goodrich tires. 14 inch on front and 15 inch on rear to get the stance Keith liked. Tires are 235/60s. EXHAUST SYESTEM: Nice aluminized pipes with Flow Master single chamber mufflers, it has a real Muscle Car sound, it is loud and deep. WHAT IS THE SOUND SYSTEM? Pioneer radio with CD, sub woofers in trunk, amps and speakers in kick panel and rear package tray. It sounds good! DO THE DIXIE HORNS WORK? Yes, they air air horns and loud. DOES THE CB RADIO WORK? Its not hooded up, its just for looks. TURN SIGNAL WORK, HEAD LIGHTS WORK, TAIL LIGHTS WORK, BRAKE LIGHTS WORK, GAUGES ARE IN A POD UNDER DASH, WIPERS WORK. PARKING BRAKE WORKS, but you have to pull it up with your foot, return spring is old and weak. POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, 4 wheel drums, brake booster is a little touchy until you get used to it. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? I consider it good, the capet is good, door panels good, headliner real nice, dash pad has no cracks, package tray good and color is saddle tan. IS THE DASH SIGNED BY THE REAL ACTORS? Yes, Keith has gone to all the reunions and had them sign it. Its signed by the Duke cousins Bo and Luke, in real live John Schneider and Tom Wopat. The car is powered by a rebuilt 440 engine that Keith bought near Covington, Georgia. The Torque Flite automatic transmission is rebuilt, as well as the rear-end with 3.73 gears. The paint is nice, this is an original Go Mango Orange car. The exhaust system has the loud and deep Muscle Car sound with single chamber Flow Master mufflers. Tires are B F Goodrich mounted on Turbine wheels. Nice Saddle Tan interior. Working Dixie air horns and a booming sound system. Viintage heat and air system. Power steering, power brakes and drums all around. Glove box is signed by Bo and Luke Duke, John Schneider and Tom Wopat. HISTORY: This car was born in the St Louis, Missori plant and lived in in San Antonio, Texas for many years before Keith boutht it and brought it to Tennessee in September of 2002. It was built with Go Mango Orange paint, white vinal roof and a 318 engine. The vinal roof was off and car and repainted when Keith bought it, no rust at all on top where roof was. Keith did paint eh Confederate battle flag on the roof. He replaced the 318 engine with a 440 out of a Georgia police car, we did rebuild it. he rebuilt the rear-end, it was a very high ratio, he put a 3.73 ring gear and pinion set as well as bearings. His friend at Pro Torque transmission shop rebuilt the transmission. He has less then 300 miles on all the rebuilt drive train. After driving the car 2 or 3 times a year he has decided to sell it and buy a new car. He did store the car with air plane car, because is does not die and damage parts. 91 pictures below, just scroll down to see them all. VIN: XH29G0G227093 and it does match the VIN PLATE. HOW IS THE ENGINE: Its a 440 that Keith bought near Covington, Georgia. Covington is near where the first few episodes of Dukes of Hazzard was flimed. It was stored in a barn and past owner said it was out of a Georgia police car. The block was cracked due to fozen water so we replaced it with a good block from a local MOPAR mechanic. We did use the heads, crank, rods and other parts of the original engine. Take a look at the picture of the giant exhaust manifolds. We put new rings, bearings, timing chain, timing gears, cam, lifters and oil pump in the engine. He also had a local auto machine shop rebuilt the original heads that we got from the police engine. The engine runs good and I see no leaks, hear no knocks or rattles and see no blue smoke. Keith says the engine has 300 miles on it at the very most. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a 727 Torque Flite. Keith had it rebuilt by his friend at Pro Torque Transimmions. The 727 is a 3 speed automatic. HOW IS THE REAR-END? I hear no whines or growls, its is rebuilt with 3.73 gears with less then 300 miles. HOW IS THE GLASS? Windshield was replaces by Keith and looks new with new rubber. Side glass old, but good. HOW IS THE CHROME? New front and rear bumper not long ago. Door handles original and pitted, gas cap good, but has small pitts. HOW IS THE PAINT JOB? When you look down the sides of the car it is very straight, I see no dents, no dings and no rust bubbles. The paint has a very good shine. If you look with a critical eye you can see that the top and hood are a little different shade, but not bad enought for Keith to redo them. Its a good paint job, just like most and not perfect, you can find a spec if you look for it. No one other than us has ever said a thing about it, "its always the hit of the local car show". AIR CONDITIONING and HEAT is a new Vintage air system. Old heater box is available if you want it. WHEELS AND TIRES: Turbine wheels with BF Goodrich tires. 14 inch on front and 15 inch on rear to get the stance Keith liked. Tires are 235/60s. EXHAUST SYESTEM: Nice aluminized pipes with Flow Master single chamber mufflers, it has a real Muscle Car sound, it is loud and deep. WHAT IS THE SOUND SYSTEM? Pioneer radio with CD, sub woofers in trunk, amps and speakers in kick panel and rear package tray. It sounds good! DO THE DIXIE HORNS WORK? Yes, they air air horns and loud. DOES THE CB RADIO WORK? Its not hooded up, its just for looks. TURN SIGNAL WORK, HEAD LIGHTS WORK, TAIL LIGHTS WORK, BRAKE LIGHTS WORK, GAUGES ARE IN A POD UNDER DASH, WIPERS WORK. PARKING BRAKE WORKS, but you have to pull it up with your foot, return spring is old and weak. POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, 4 wheel drums, brake booster is a little touchy until you get used to it. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? I consider it good, the capet is good, door panels good, headliner real nice, dash pad has no cracks, package tray good and color is saddle tan. I would consider this car a fun driver. It looks good, to me it drives good, it runs good and stops good. What I mean by driver is that its no perfect show queen that you haul to the show in a trailer. Under a close eye inspection you will find that it is not perfect, it has some flaws in the paint, the underside is not beautiful, "its just a old car to drive for fun". My car does look more perfect in pictures than in life. Beware from buying from pictures! VIN 01837S279900 TITLE is clear and in hand with a VIN that matches the car VIN plate. It is Ohio and will be passed on from me as a dealer. We have a garage here at home, but do have license to keep it legal. ENGINE: I hear no knocks or rattles and it starts good. Its suppose to be a 283 cubic inch, but I could not see the numbers at the back to tell for sure. TRANSMISSION: Its a Power Glide automatic that shifts good, it does leave drops of fluid on the floor when parked. INTERIOR: I consider it nice, no real wear on the seat covers, carpet or door panels, the headliner is not split or sagging, but is old and original. PAINT: Driver quality, it looks good just to look at the over all view of the car, but you will find flaws under inspection. By flaws I meand some touched up chips, specs and some dull places. No big dents, the only thing is a little ding on the right rear quarter at the chrome, I posted a close of picture of it. The black stripe painted black has some chips and flaws. Like I said its just a driver. GLASS: The windshield looks new, no chips, no wiper marks and no milky places. Rear glass decent with 1 stone chip. Side glass original, but good, the right window regulator needs replaceed, it is very loose rolled up at top. CHROME: Bumpers look good at a glance, but have some dull places on the bottom and sides, the tops look good. The window stainless is good, the door handles pitted, vent glass stainless good, front and rear window divider pitted. HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! I HAVE A TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ORDERED, THE ONE ON NOW IS BAD! OIL, TEMP AND VOLT GUAGES ARE IN A POD! ORIGINAL RADIO NOT WORKING! HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? To me it drive good, it is power steering. I heard a swike in the front end, it was lower control are bushings on the drivers side. I have them ordered and will put them in. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? The are drums and to me stop good. HEATER AND AC: Past owner was going to put air conditioning on the car. It has the condenster and filter in front of the radiator. He took the heater box out and put a plate getting ready for the new AC and heat system. No AC or heat right now. NOTE: If you want a driver and can live with out a perfect car, this may be for you. CONSIDERATION we have for sale a good looking 1960 Impala. I would consider this car a fun driver. It looks good, to me it drives good, it runs good and stops good. What I mean by driver is that its no perfect show queen that you haul to the show in a trailer. Under a close eye inspection you will find that it is not perfect, it has some flaws in the paint, the underside is not beautiful, "its just a old car to drive for fun". You can get a nicer car if you want to pay more, but you can buy my car and have some fun, "look at the prices on a super nice Impala. 78 pictures below, just scroll down to see them all. My car does look more perfect in pictures than in life. Beware from buying from pictures! VIN 01837S279900 TITLE is clear and in hand with a VIN that matches the car VIN plate. It is Ohio and will be passed on from me as a dealer. We have a garage here at home, but do have license to keep it legal. ENGINE: I hear no knocks or rattles and it starts good. Its suppose to be a 283 cubic inch, but I could not see the numbers at the back to tell for sure. TRANSMISSION: Its a Power Glide automatic that shifts good, it does leave drops of fluid on the floor when parked. INTERIOR: I consider it nice, no real wear on the seat covers, carpet or door panels, the headliner is not split or sagging, but is old and original. PAINT: Driver quality, it looks good just to look at the over all view of the car, but you will find flaws under inspection. By flaws I meand some touched up chips, specs and some dull places. No big dents, the only thing is a little ding on the right rear quarter at the chrome, I posted a close of picture of it. The black stripe painted black has some chips and flaws. Like I said its just a driver. GLASS: The windshield looks new, no chips, no wiper marks and no milky places. Rear glass decent with 1 stone chip. Side glass original, but good, the right window regulator needs replaceed, it is very loose rolled up at top. CHROME: Bumpers look good at a glance, but have some dull places on the bottom and sides, the tops look good. The window stainless is good, the door handles pitted, vent glass stainless good, front and rear window divider pitted. HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! I HAVE A TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ORDERED, THE ONE ON NOW IS BAD! OIL, TEMP AND VOLT GUAGES ARE IN A POD! ORIGINAL RADIO NOT WORKING! HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? To me it drive good, it is power steering. I heard a swike in the front end, it was lower control are bushings on the drivers side. I have them ordered and will put them in. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? The are drums and to me stop good. HEATER AND AC: Past owner was going to put air conditioning on the car. It has the condenster and filter in front of the radiator. He took the heater box out and put a plate getting ready for the new AC and heat system. No AC or heat right now. NOTE: If you want a driver and can live with out a perfect car, this may be for you. Past owner spent lots of money on this 1966 Impala. It has a fresh 454 engine that is dressed out nice, it has a Borg Warner 5 speed manual transmission, disc brakes on front, tube type control arms, 12 bolt rear-end, after market chrome/tilt steering column, LED lights, Rally wheels, white lettered tires, nice black interior and more.The burgundy paint job is not show winning quality! OVER 70 PICTURES BELOW, JUST SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THEM! ENIGNE: The 454 engine is fresh and runs good. It is dripping in chrome and runs I hear no knocks or pings. TRANSMISSION: The Borg Warner 5 speed manual tranmission shifts good, I feel no slip or chatter in the clutch. REAR-END: Its a 12 bolt with a good highway gearing ratio. IS THIS A REAL SUPER SPORT CAR? It looks like one, but I don't know for sure. Come inspect it and make your own decision. BRAKES: Disc in front and drums in rear. The front disc have the vented rotors, past owner said they were by Wilwood. It consider the brakes good. STEERING: The car is power steering, it steers easy, infact too easy for a Muscle Car. I think you can buy a screw in pressure reducer for these after market power steering pumps. You may like the feel, I think it steers like a luxury car, not a Muscle Car. PAINT JOB: The paint is not as good as the pictures show. I took 2 sets of pictures in different light and the paint still looked great. It looks like to me most parts were off when the car was paint, thats a good thing. The painter did not block sand the car as good as it needed to be for a dark color paint job. The area between the top turn and the crease on the side has minor waves that show up on the dark colored paint job. The shine is real good, but the texture of the paint is dry in places. The owner spent a lot of money on this car, he should have spent a little more on the paint job. I see no rust bubbles in the paint. BODY: I consider this a solid body, some of the floor bottoms have been replaced and the trunk may have had a couple of metal patches. It is clean on the under side and no thick under coating. The frame looks solid to me. INTERIOR: The interior is nice, carpet good, door panels good, seat covers show no wear, rear package tray good, headliner looks new, but has wrinkles. STEERING COLUMN: Its a high dollar title after market, it looks like a IDIDIT or Flaming river. GLASS: Windshield is good, if you look real hard you can see a very faint wiper mark on the right side. Side window good, back window good with some minor scuffs. The vent window regulator is missing on the drivers side and window crank on one back window. CHROME: Bumpers fair, but not new, they have some scuffs, some pitts and are missing corner bumper bolts. The window stainless is nice, the door handles look new. HOOD SCOOP: Its not my taste, but may son Kieth loves it, he is 43 years old and I'm 69. A round hole was cut, I would put a patch in it if I painted the car. LIGHTS: Headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, turn signals work. The tail lights are LED and bright, the headlights look like a after market brighter light. The inside dome lights have LED bulbs. SPEEDOMETER WORKS! HORN NOT WORKING! FACTORY VACUUM GAUGE NOT WORKING! GAS GAUGE WORKING! WIPER MOTOR IS BAD! WHY DON'T I FIX EVERYTHING? The cost and I have too much work to do. I'm 69 years old and play with this stuff. The car is very drivable the way it is, past owner liked it just the way it is. GOOD STUFF: Hot fresh 454 engine, 5 speed manual transmission, good black interior, good wheels and tires, I consider it a good body, good brakes, lots of suspention inprovements. BAD STUFF: Weak paint, wipers don't work, average chrome. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303. HISTORY: I bought the car from a car restoring friend that lives near Cincinnati, the car was built in Kentucky. VIN AND TILE: Clear title with a VIN that matches the title. The VIN number is a Kentucky assigned number. This is done if a VIN plate is un-readable or missing. I don't know why to was done on this car, but its very safe. When this is done in Tennessee a police offier comes out and inspects the car, a check is run with the National NICB to make sure the car has no history, like being stolen, the state then sends a officer out to install the plate. If this bothers you, just don't buy the car. I'm giving you a good title, it will be bonded, because I have dealers insurance that covers it. It has a fresh 454 engine that is dressed out nice, it has a Borg Warner 5 speed manual transmission, disc brakes on front, tube type control arms, 12 bolt rear-end, after market chrome/tilt steering column, LED lights, Rally wheels, white lettered tires, nice black interior and more.The burgundy paint job is not show winning quality! OVER 70 PICTURES BELOW, JUST SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THEM! ENIGNE: The 454 engine is fresh and runs good. It is dripping in chrome and runs I hear no knocks or pings. TRANSMISSION: The Borg Warner 5 speed manual tranmission shifts good, I feel no slip or chatter in the clutch. REAR-END: Its a 12 bolt with a good highway gearing ratio. IS THIS A REAL SUPER SPORT CAR? It looks like one, but I don't know for sure. Come inspect it and make your own decision. BRAKES: Disc in front and drums in rear. The front disc have the vented rotors, past owner said they were by Wilwood. It consider the brakes good. STEERING: The car is power steering, it steers easy, infact too easy for a Muscle Car. I think you can buy a screw in pressure reducer for these after market power steering pumps. You may like the feel, I think it steers like a luxury car, not a Muscle Car. PAINT JOB: The paint is not as good as the pictures show. I took 2 sets of pictures in different light and the paint still looked great. It looks like to me most parts were off when the car was paint, thats a good thing. The painter did not block sand the car as good as it needed to be for a dark color paint job. The area between the top turn and the crease on the side has minor waves that show up on the dark colored paint job. The shine is real good, but the texture of the paint is dry in places. The owner spent a lot of money on this car, he should have spent a little more on the paint job. I see no rust bubbles in the paint. BODY: I consider this a solid body, some of the floor bottoms have been replaced and the trunk may have had a couple of metal patches. It is clean on the under side and no thick under coating. The frame looks solid to me. INTERIOR: The interior is nice, carpet good, door panels good, seat covers show no wear, rear package tray good, headliner looks new, but has wrinkles. STEERING COLUMN: Its a high dollar title after market, it looks like a IDIDIT or Flaming river. GLASS: Windshield is good, if you look real hard you can see a very faint wiper mark on the right side. Side window good, back window good with some minor scuffs. The vent window regulator is missing on the drivers side and window crank on one back window. CHROME: Bumpers fair, but not new, they have some scuffs, some pitts and are missing corner bumper bolts. The window stainless is nice, the door handles look new. HOOD SCOOP: Its not my taste, but may son Kieth loves it, he is 43 years old and I'm 69. A round hole was cut, I would put a patch in it if I painted the car. LIGHTS: Headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, turn signals work. The tail lights are LED and bright, the headlights look like a after market brighter light. The inside dome lights have LED bulbs. SPEEDOMETER WORKS! HORN NOT WORKING! FACTORY VACUUM GAUGE NOT WORKING! GAS GAUGE WORKING! WIPER MOTOR IS BAD! WHY DON'T I FIX EVERYTHING? GOOD STUFF: Hot fresh 454 engine, 5 speed manual transmission, good black interior, good wheels and tires, I consider it a good body, good brakes, lots of suspention inprovements. The VIN number is a Kentucky assigned number. This is done if a VIN plate is un-readable or missing. I don't know why to was done on this car, but its very safe. When this is done in Tennessee a police offier comes out and inspects the car, a check is run with the National NICB to make sure the car has no history, like being stolen, the state then sends a officer out to install the plate.
