For sale 2006 Scion xB auto with 56700 miles that was factory converted for transportation of people in wheelchair. It is so called Braun Rampvan. In the current configuration this Scion is usable for transportation of disabled person in his/her wheelchair. It has two normal front seats and standard foot operated pedals. The space in the back is for wheelchair bound passenger. Wheelchair can be anchored in the rear area with tie down straps (nearly new set of straps included), or if the wheelchair has EZ-lock system it can also be used to anchor the wheelchair. EZ-lock system lock has been unbolted from the floor, and electrical part was depowered as it emits annoying sounds when not utilized. Ez-lock was not a part of original equipment, but dealer installed option. Vehicles like that sometimes called companion van. This vehicle came from the factory with drivers transfer seat and manual controls for the brakes and accelerator. The intent was for disable person transfer (inside the car) from wheelchair into transfer seat in the far back position, move seat towards steering wheel and operate car using manual controls. Empty (motorized) wheelchair was held in place by Ez-lock. I did not know the original owner, but apparently transfer into the driver seat was not easy, and left many hard otherwise explain marks on the dashboard, driver door and the like. Moreover, operation of manual control required too much force, and most likely was the cause of accident(s) of this vehicle. I got it with manual controls, and I would be hard pressed to drive it utilizing hand operated brake. Without transfer seat and manual controls this vehicle operates much like ordinary Scion xB. I have all parts from manual control, and buyer can have them. They are in good original condition. Any good mechanic or Braun dealer can reinstall them. I can do it too. The transfer seat did not fared that well. When I got the car transfer seat had control switch missing, and essentially inoperable. Buyer can have all the parts from that seat, but would need to utilize dealer in order to make it to work. This car had collision damage repaired and presently titled in Pennsylvania. The quality of collision repair is subpar, but car drives straight, does not have any water leaks and looks ok. Wheels were properly aligned after the repairs were completed. This car factory equipped with rear air ride. It utilizes rear suspension bags, electric compressor, valve system for leveling the height of the car. Operator can make car release the pressure from air bags when ramp is lowered. When car is about to move air compressor inflates air suspension bags in order to lift the car. The bags themselves, air lines, compressor and height sensor are nearly new. All components are off the shelf Firestone designed parts. Factory equipment: Power locks, Power windows, Power steering, ABS brakes with traction control Ice cold A/C. Automatic Transmission. Tires are nearly new.
