'02 SL1, Good condition, with 209,000 miles. 1.9L SOHC, automatic transmission. Actual 34 mpg hwy, 26 city. Cold A/C, good tires. $1499 or best offer. This is my daughter's car, used to commute to UWF in Pensacola every day for the past 2 years, 140 miles round trip. She got married and moved to Hawaii, so I'm selling the car for her. I have a valid Power of Attorney to sell the car. Body is good, brakes replaced in 2012 including new rotors and calipers. Stereo works fine. Rear seat back lays down in 60/40 configuration to open into the trunk. It's big enough to sleep the average person or two if you ran out of gas in the middle of the night in an area without cell coverage. HERE"S THE DETAILS MOST PEOPLE WON"T TELL YOU: Transmission rebuilt in late 2013 at 169,000 miles, and new transmission valve body will not shift into overdrive. Other gears work fine, and still capable of maintaining 70 mph and getting 34 mpg at that speed. After fighting with the transmission shop for 3 months, they refunded my money and told me to keep the transmission. I replaced the valve body myself with a re-manufactured valve body in mid 2014, and it still won't shift into overdrive. Other than that, it runs very well. Without the O/D, my daughter got a consistent 34-35 mpg on her commute, without fail. (She just had to slow from 80 mph to 70 mph on the interstate) :-) Car has an annoying buzz at idle when stopped and in gear with the A/C on that sounds like it's coming from the exhaust shield near the catalytic converter. Has to be at the right low rpm in gear and stopped to buzz, though. For a Saturn with 209K miles, this car is in very good condition, but I rated it as only Good because of the trans overdrive issue. For Sale This was my daily driver because I had a Corvette that I couldn't put many miles on. I bought a sensible newer car and sold the Corvette. So, I'm only down to 1 car now once I sell this car. I have replaced the knock sensor and the front oxygen sensor recently. Green Automatic AC 178000 miles $950 or best offer The Good: It looks great--inside and out. It gets nearly 40 mpg. The A/C works great!!! Clean title. Newer tires. Comfortable seats. Newer battery. Great stereo, but the speakers suck. No oil leaks or any leaks. Good brakes, exhaust, transmission shifts smoothly. Good struts--rides well. The Bad: Should have the back oxygen sensor replaced (not really necessary, the front one is what gives the good gas mileage)--the "service engine light comes on sometimes because of this. It's intermittent. I will show you how to turn if off if it comes on. Has not come on for several weeks. It is a 17 year old car. The windshield is cracked below the wipers--will send picture. The a/c fan makes noise at position 3. The ugly: Sometimes it runs hot (not at the red hot) but lower then 50% on the gauge. It has overheated before but I never ran it in the red. Carry water. This only happened to me 1 time--2 weeks ago, but keep water with you. I have drove it to St Augustine and back last week and it was fine. As with all used cars--selling AS-IS. Thanks for looking
