Bentley T 1967 (LHD) ~ beautiful condition ~ sympathetically restored example ~ Very Rare "Top-Hat" paint scheme~ T his is a most desirable chrome bumper era Bentley T, finished in beautiful 2-tone Tudor grey over Shell grey with charcoal fine-lines to the body waist-lines. The Connolly interior is finished in mid blue with matching pale blue floor rugs. The colour ensemble is very classic and also rare in the "Top-Hat" configuration which is the roof and a small section below the front, rear and side windows all the way around the car. So it is not only the roof but a "lip" around the car ~ hence the term "Top-Hat". The Bentley T ("T1 ") is the rare derivative of the Silver Shadow. It was the twin sister to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and is differentiated by a Bentley radiator grille, mascot and "Flying B". It has a slightly lower bonnet (hood) with different shaping in the sheet metal and is distinguished further with “Bentley” hubcaps and boot badging. Unique to these earlier Bentleys, is the fitment of "B" logos on the speedometer and brake pedal (a nice touch - something that was sadly deleted by Rolls-Royce in later years). Out of some 32,000 4 door Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow sedans produced, only 1,700 of these were Bentley Ts (that is only some 5% of the model series). Take into account that the number of remaining survivors would be considerably less and discount further those that are in poor condition, then this T1 Bentley may well be 1 out of only a few dozen examples in the US in this very fine condition. This Bentley T is a stunning example that has recently been gone-through by the Park-Ward Motors Museum - a leader in Rolls-Royce restoration with over 30 years Rolls-Royce and Bentley experience. Indeed; "Masters of the Art". The exterior presentation of this Bentley T is simply lovely. The body is straight and the paint is of a good standard and finish. The car underwent some touch-up by us recently but was repainted, we are guessing, some 15 years ago. The paint presents very well; high in lustre and shine but there are some minor inconsistencies here and there. For example, the colour on the right rear is slightly off (hard to see in the pics) and there are some imperfections where the Tudor grey meets the Silver on the "C" pillar. Nothing major, nor spectacularly wrong and hard to pick whilst "enjoying" the car so simply mentioned out of clear disclosure. Outside of that, the car displays only minimal little chip marks and imperfections. Fitments and finishes are in good standing; chrome, bright-work, glass, lights, lenses, handles, grille and badges. The interior of the car is in stunning presentation. The African burl walnut wood is spectacular. All the wood, dash, console, door cappings and vanity mirrors are in excellent condition with the doors having been refinished in their correct "satin" finish at some stage (these can easily be brought to high gloss if preferred). The dash components are original and stunning. They all present very beautifully but only for some very, very minor hairline cracks in the dash fascia. These are all photographed for you to see. Their condition is such that they do not warrant redoing and we think the fact they are original prevails. The rest of the interior is very clean and tidy and requires no attention. The Connolly hide leather is superb showing just the right amount of patina. There are definitely no tears, wear or unsightly scratches or marks and remain soft and supple. The headliner is very clean and in perfect original condition, which is a vinyl known as "Ambla" - only fitted to the early US spec SY (Shadow/Bentley T) cars. The dash board and rear parcel shelf are factory excellent. Carpets are clean and tidy and the trunk is pretty much perfect! *(The lambs-wool mouton rug on the driver side floor shown in the photos is for display only. Should you be interested in separately purchasing a complete set, please enquire). All interior features and functions are fully operational including all electrics – seats, windows and gauges. The heater is hot and A/C blowing icy cold. Mechanically, the car is in superior condition and the presentation under the bonnet clearly shows that. It has not been “done-up” for sale but maintained in original condition which is very impressive for the age of the car. The car has been recently serviced. All hydraulics and brakes have been regularly serviced and recently inspected, pressure tested, bled and working perfectly – all heights are correct - and there are no outstanding matters requiring attention. The car shows off on a very original looking set of Michelin X 205-15 thin whitewall tyres, with plenty of tread, which look totally period correct but are old, of course. Please enquire what your intention is for ownership before taking delivery so as we can determine whether tyres should be optionally replaced. As expected of a fine example, the car comes with its correct jack, tools and operating manual. At 79,800 miles, the mileage is not verifiable but the current condition makes it look exactly that. It is very important to note, this Bentley has NOT been "tarted-up" but simply very well looked after in original factory presentation. Anything repaired or attended to has been done so professionally and with pride & passion. The car is an extremely beautiful presenting example that is in advance of any Bentley T and is in excellent driver condition. It easily ranks a 10 out of 10 driver and show worthy. ~~ This is a significantly well-above average example of a Bentley T. As a top-class driver condition example, it needs nothing doing or spent on her. Given the unique "top-hat" presentation and condition of this classic and rare Bentley sedan, it is also show worthy and could be taken as-is to your next Rolls-Royce meet with great pride. ~~ International buyers welcome! For those who are new to my adverts and/or the marque, please note that as a serious collector of some 30 years, all my cars are truly described examples. I have my own private Rolls-Royce workshop (not open to the public but dedicated to my own cars) with trained Rolls-Royce craftsmen who are proficient in all aspects. As a team, we are dedicated to the preservation of the marque and as such, any car that leaves the stable is completely inspected and work-shopped to ensure mechanical and operational items are maintained appropriately. We adopt a “keep it original” mentality with pride and confidence, offering after sales technical support and assistance well beyond the sale. Because most of my cars are offered for the pleasures of driving enjoyment it is not always possible or practical to seek perfection (in the true sense of the word) but we do always uphold excellence in whatever we do. Our cars are by no means cheap priced cars but we like to think they are amongst the best. To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do to.” **PLEASE read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** ~~ Important note: the $2,000 deposit is due within 24 hours. If not paid, or if no contact is received within that period, we reserve the right to offer the car to any other party.~~ ~~oo00oo~~ This Bentley is part of a private collection. Although licensed and bonded, I am not a main-stream retail car dealer or broker; I am a professional car collector of some 30 years with considerable experience and knowledge of Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars. I have a long standing reputation being associated with the marque which I take seriously. I take pride in my cars and have fun in collecting and restoring them. However, auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or offer, and you are the winning bidder, please understand you have entered a binding contract. You cannot bid and win the auction and expect not to meet the terms and conditions. Bidding and/or winning does not mean you are expecting me to “hold” the car until you have the opportunity to inspect it. Any inspection contemplated should be undertaken BEFORE you bid or make an offer and I openly welcome any potential buyer to come and personally inspect the car. Once you bid or make an offer, you are doing so to buy WITHOUT conditions. Your bid can not be subject to anything. A $2000.00 deposit (non-refundable) is required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check or bank wire. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released. All payments are non-refundable. Payments as described above form an important part of this purchase contract and so, if all the funds are not received as outlined above, I reserve the right to terminate the transaction without notice. If there has been any deposit or other part payments received and I elect to terminate the contract, I reserve the right to keep any such deposits or payments and resell the vehicle to another bidder or interested party or re-list the vehicle at any time. To be clear, if you change your mind for ANY reason and do not complete the transaction in the time-frame required, you will forfeit your deposit. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a national and worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost. As a collector and experienced restorer of the marque, I make every effort to bring my cars to a high standard. By comparison, my cars are generally superior to others available but they are by no means perfect. You must expect some issues. Unless specifically stated, the car is not of show standard but of nice "driver" condition. Please understand, show cars of this model cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to achieve and sell for prices commensurate, so the sale price of this car reflects its relative condition. You are buying "condition" accordingly. Buyers should not expect to receive concours quality or "perfect" cars at these prices. Please also understand, the very nature of these classic Rolls-Royce & Bentleys is such that it is not always possible to attend to every item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked items. Further, and very importantly, these cars are classic cars also because they are old. So this means a 50 year old car is predominantly comprised of 50 year old parts. And old parts will fail. All buyers must understand and expect that things can or will wear out, break and/or stop functioning without notice. This is even more likely with hand-built English cars of early technology when compared to the typical American car of the same vintage. Please note, fitted radio/stereo systems are usually subject to upgrade by purchasers so I do not ensure operation of these. Similarly, cruise control systems fitted to these classics were of an inferior design and I do not check or warrant the operation of these. Suspension and brakes on these cars are complex. We thoroughly check them and replace things that are identified faulty. But please understand, by example; if we change a brake line because it appears aged or faulty, we do NOT at the same time replace all other hoses because they are of similar age. This is considered "preventative maintenance". We do not do this unless specifically requested and is not included in the purchase price. Feel free to ask for this additional service. Further, a feature or function that is working perfectly one moment, may decide to play-up the next. After all, it is some 50 years old. This is the nature of any classic car and especially a Rolls-Royce which was very "complicated" for its era. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition: The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are made with reasonable judgment and all efforts are made to ensure fair assessment and accuracy but they are for descriptive and identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. The seller shall not be responsible for errors in description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. If any aspect of the description contradicts what can be seen in the photos, then the photos shall prevail as the reference point. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, unforeseen imperfection, defect or damage. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer’s request prior to the close of the auction. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any written or oral statements about the vehicle. Being a classic car in excess of 10 years of age, in most US states, the mileage may be recorded as “exempt”. In this regard the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown and accepts no responsibility for any discrepancy with independent reports such as Carfax, AutoCheck, etc. In this regard the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown. I can hold the vehicle up to 30 days while you arrange shipping but you must immediately insure it. I will not bear any responsibility for any additional costs including storage, transportation, or repair after the close of the auction. Whereas I am happy to store the car in excess of 30 days from auction end, a cost of $35 per day shall apply beyond 30 days of auction end. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-50 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”until you have familiarised yourself with the car. At least, I have never done that. I have always professionally transported the cars in enclosed carriers from where I bought them to my home. PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU CONTEMPLATE DOING SO AS, RESPECTFULLY, THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS. I am sorry if these terms seem harsh but there seem to be some very unrealistic buyers out there - fortunately, only few of these people exist but those that do can make life difficult, so it appears EVERYTHING needs to spelled out. Very simply put, this is an old car being offered for sale. It is not new and is subject to the perils of age. Further, Rolls-Royces are not without nuances, idiosyncrasies and they are renown for a host of design issues which can make them not inexpensive to maintain. This is well documented in many circles. You need to be a special and considerate type of purchaser to own a Rolls-Royce. Their down-side is part of the fun in owning them! As the old saying goes; "we love to hate them and hate to love them!" So, please respect the terms and conditions when you bid. ~~ **Please note: This Rolls-Royce is part of the collection of the Park-Ward Motor Museum. As a professional collector and experienced restorer, I have my own Rolls-Royce dedicated workshop with qualified craftsmen on hand. As a passionate collector of the marque I take great pride and pleasure in passing on any of my cars to its next owner (“caretaker”). In so doing, once this Rolls-Royce is sold, I will put the car back thru my workshop to ensure that it is mechanically sound and all major features and functions are operating as described even though the car is contractually being sold "as-is". Certain items such as final electrical tests and hydraulic pressure checks are usually left for this stage as these are considered "commissioning procedures". This and considerable other work will be performed after the sale and before delivery. This is all done at NO CHARGE. Who else selling a Rolls-Royce on eBay does this?! Depending on our work load, please allow approximately 14-21 business days for this procedure. For more information on the Park-Ward Motor Museum and our skills, please contact us and we would be happy to email link for you to see some 50 Rolls-Royces restored to varying levels over the last few years. ~~ ~~oo00oo~~ VALUES: Rolls-Royce values vary wildly, entirely dependent on their condition. There are, of course, other aspects that add or subtract from their values – Long Wheel Base versus regular, the year which dictated certain technical changes, etc. The colour alone, for example can make a big difference. So for the benefit of new-comers to the marque please see the approximate guide to values based on a particular model below. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1966-1967 Make: BentleyModel: T Show car: $45,000+ Exceptional: $35-45,000 Excellent: $25-35,000 Good: $18-25,000 Average: $12-18,000 Fair: $6-12,000 Basket case: < $6,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Rolls-Royce being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. Please note, a very poor condition example that is tired and not maintained can easily demand some $30,000 in restoration to make it a "nice" example but remember, it will be no longer original. So don't be fooled by "cheap buys". For any specific questions about this unique example of a Rolls-Royce, please do not hesitate to contact me. According to the London based investment research firm; Historic Automobile Group International, classic cars have appreciated on average, 13% per year since 1980, whilst overall stock values averaged an 11% gain over the same period. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II 1977 Recently fully work-shopped with major & minor services done. Priced for quick sale!! This is a very nice presenting Silver Shadow II finished in factory Yellow with chocolate Connolly leather interior accented with cream piping. The carpets throughout are in the same theme. This is a unique car in that it has a glass sun-roof fitted. Please remember, Rolls-Royce in this era did not offer sun-roofs as an option so these were fitted aftermarket and. as such, are rare. Previously enthusiast owned, this is a very nice clean driver example that is fun to potter around in. It is a gorgeous driver quality example. She is cosmetically very pretty and mechanically & operationally sound. The body is quite straight and the paint presenting very nicely, but there are minor imperfections here and there. The car presents with a nice consistent shine but there is a slight mismatch colour on the left rear and right front fender - not highly noticeable but mentioned out of "clear disclosure". Minor and typical "lead wiping" fracture marks which is common to ALL original Silver Shadows are present at the base of the A & C pillars. (Rolls-Royce used a process of 'lead-wiping" to join body panels, so with the different metallurgic properties of lead, steel, and aluminium, the over-lying paint would fracture in these places). When driving up in her, she looks nice and only close up, you can see the imperfections. But overall, the car is better than a "10 footer" as some would use to describe cars. To reaffirm, a great driver example in good condition but not a show car. The chocolate interior is the original Connolly leather and this presents lovely with nothing to do. The leather is soft and supple without any tears or noticeable signs of wear. Very clean and tidy indeed. Certainly, it shows the car has been well looked after in its 38 odd years. The wood was redone by someone other than us and was done very well. We would rate this a high quality job. The refinish of the wood is a huge bonus as this is about $3,500 to have done by experts. And, this car WAS done by professionals with a high gloss and flat finish. The grain and colour of the wood is superb! The carpets are in good clean condition without any noticeable wear nor tears. The dash and rear parcel shelf are clean and present well. Because of the fitted sunroof, the headliner is not original and overall is ok but does have some imperfections and discolouration. The car has its original Blaupunkt factory push button radio with a later model CD stereo system fitted beneath. The trunk is in excellent condition. Very clean and tidy with its original factory Wilton wool carpet. Under the hood, she is well organised and shows all the signs of a well maintained example. The car was recently inspected by Park-Ward Motors (America's leader in Silver Shadow restoration) and underwent any required maintenance. Brake & hydraulics to include pumps, accumulators, calipers and, hoses have all been done and various other mechanical items attended to, including carburettors, engine tune, exhaust and bringing all services up to date. The air conditioning is ice cold and has been pressure tested. Overall a nice looking car in very original condition. This is no show car but a nice 8 or 9-out-of-10 driver quality example. It has its original jack and hand-book. The whitewall tyres have plenty of tread. ~~ This stately Silver Shadow II is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It makes for a low cost tourer for either everyday driving or sunny weekend enjoyment! ~~ International bidders always welcome. We regularly sell world-wide. We can always be reached at +1-312-320-6996. We at Park-Ward Motors – the things we do. When our Rolls-Royces are commissioned for resale, they are indeed professionally and correctly “fully work-shopped”. No corners are cut. And it is all addressed in true Crewe tradition. There is way too much to list here but to give you an example of our commitment to excellence of the various processes, this is one such example of what we do: Doors and windows:- Every car has its interior door panels removed. If the wood is in need of repair (as most are) it is refinished in-house by trained and talented craftsmen at Park-Ward Motors. This is a detailed process of stripping the wood of its old lacquer, repairing the veneer if there is damage, staining the top surface as per Rolls-Royce methodology and refinishing with no less than 25 coats of clear lacquer. Hand wet-sanded and polished between all of its last 15 coats. New window felt guides and wood-to-glass foam seals are fitted. All window mechanisms are checked and serviced for smooth and efficient up and down movement. This includes an electrical modification to rectify the typical “slow window syndrome”. All tracks, chains and gears are lubricated. Where central locking is fitted, these are all serviced to ensure no “solenoid sticking”, another common problem. Units are repaired and or changed as required for refurbished units. Door wiring and door-to-body wiring is checked, repaired and/or replaced as required. The splash plastic on the inside of the doors to protect the leather panels from rain splash from inside the door is replaced with correct specification black plastic as used by the factory. Cut to shape and glued in position as per original. All door hardware is checked and repaired as required including locks, handles and scuttle finishes. The door is reassembled with all items cleaned and polished. The wood refitted and the leather panels are re-Connollised before final fitment. Take this example and apply it to the many, many different aspects of Rolls-Royce restoration, service and maintenance and you have our dedication to correct and professional vehicle pre-delivery preparation and commissioning. ~~oo00oo~~ ~~ Important note: the $2,000 deposit is due within 24 hours. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1977-1980 Make: Rolls-RoyceModel: Silver Shadow II Show car: $40,000+ Exceptional: $35-40,000 Excellent: $25-35,000 Good: $18-25,000 Average: $12-18,000 Fair: $6-12,000 Basket case: < $6,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Rolls-Royce being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II 1979 A simply beautiful original example! Here is a really fine and original example of a Shadow II. Finished in Masons black with gold/tan fine lines to the waist-rail and hubcap beauty rings. The interior has handsome biscuit tan Connolly hides and contrasting chocolate carpets. The biscuit tan Wilton wool carpet theme carries through to the boot. This is an unmolested example that has been beautifully maintained and presents in excellent condition. This was a Texan example so it is a “dry” car that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It was collector owned for the last 5 years out of Michigan but NEVER used in inclement weather. She has always been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual. The Silver Shadow II presented here has been recently fully work-shop inspected by Park-Ward with all work needed carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes have been fully inspected and thoroughly serviced as required. This included brake pumps, accumulators, calipers, all brake hoses and then final system pressure tested and bled. Everything mechanical and operational has been gone thru. It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 59,300 and although this is not verifiable, the mileage is commensurate with the condition (particularly when you look at the condition of the leather, dash, brake pedal, inside of doors etc). We have no doubt it is correct. It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model. The interior of this Shadow is close to perfect. The biscuit tan Connolly hide leather is 100% original from the factory. It has never been re-dyed and is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and very supple and soft – true to its Connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. A great welcome with true “original leather” is the colour characteristics. If you look at the pictures of the interior, there are some close up shots that clearly show the colour is not just plain light tan, but with a “burnished” tone to the leather. You can see the biscuit tan base and then in the fine natural grain of the leather is a darker tone. This natural quasi “antique” leather look (like a Chesterfield couch) was achieved by the hand rubbing Connollising technique that made this leather so famous and for which its name now describes the correct procedure for refinishing leather – “Connollising”. Leather that has been re-dyed by typical methods is “mono-toned” featuring only the 1 primary colour. As such, it lacks depth and richness that unrestored Connolly hide has to offer. See photos here: A new Blaupunkt stereo system has been added with blue tooth and auxiliary inputs. Brand new high quality speakers have been discretely fitted throughout. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is stunning. They are also completely original and have not been redone, They are not flawless (not a word you can use flippantly) but in excellent condition with only the most minor imperfections on the front door cappings. Certainly stunning for a 32 year old Rolls-Royce and by no means in need of redoing. The colour is deep, the grain rich and the finish smooth. By the delight of Mother Nature, there is a very interesting "face-like" pattern in the doors which is really charming. The head lining is brand new and in correct Rolls-Royce Broad cloth wool. It was only redone because of a 1" tear above the rear passenger area. It is now, of course, perfect. The carpets are in good condition and come with a full set of lambswool moutons in matching dark chocolate. The leather finishes to the dash and top-roll are excellent with no drying or shrinkage normally seen. The boot (trunk) carpet with leather matching biscuit tan finish is in excellent condition. The body on this Shadow II is very straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous. The paint on the car is primarily original which is very rare to see these days on a Silver Shadow. For this model to show-off its original paint can only be thru a cossetted life in doors and mostly garaged. The body and paint finish is entirely consistent. When you look down the sides of the car, they are very straight and true. The paint presents beautifully with only the most minor little mark here and there from use and does have some of the Rolls-Royce signature hair-line paint fracturing at the base of the A & C pillar, but is otherwise entirely consistent with a low-mileage meticulously maintained example. (Rolls-Royce used lead to join body panels and because of the different metallurgic properties of lead, steel and aluminium, the expansion and contraction causes minor paint stresses over time. ALL Silver Shadows display this syndrome. These are very minor, however). If you did not know, you would think the car was repainted in the last 5 years - it is that good! Certainly, it needs nothing other than a wax from time to time. The tyres are period correct whitewalls which drive smooth and comfortably but if you are planning long distance touring could do with replacing simply because of age (we are happy to arrange) but if you are intending to do basic "potting around", they are just fine. The hubcaps are excellent with no imperfections in the stainless or painted trim rings. They reflect like a mirror. The pin-striping on the beauty rings are finished in the original hand-painted technique. All remaining bright-work is in excellent condition as is glass, electrics and instruments. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazingly clean and original. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The car has its original jack still in its factory original wax paper wrapper, correct tools and operating manual. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating. ~~ This is immaculate and stately Shadow II is in excellent condition and a very fine representation of the marque that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It makes for an excellent driver for either everyday driving or sunny weekend enjoyment. You could easily take her to your next Rolls-Royce meet and take a prize for originality! For those who are new to my adverts and/or the marque, please note that as a serious collector of some 30 years, all my cars are truly described examples. I have my own private Rolls-Royce workshop (not open to the public but dedicated to my own cars and fellow RR entusiasts) with trained Rolls-Royce craftsmen who are proficient in all aspects. To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do too.” We at Park-Ward Motors – the things we do. Take this example and apply it to the many, many different aspects of Rolls-Royce restoration, service and maintenance and you have our dedication to correct and professional vehicle pre-delivery preparation and commissioning.~~ **Please note: As a professional collector and experienced restorer, I have my own Rolls-Royce dedicated workshop with qualified craftsmen on hand; The Park-Ward Motor Museum. As a passionate collector of the marque I take great pride and pleasure in passing on any of these great cars to its next owner (“caretaker”). In so doing, once this Rolls-Royce is sold, I will put the car thru my workshop to ensure that it is mechanically sound and all major features and functions are operating as described even though the car is contractually being sold "as-is". Certain items such as final electrical tests and hydraulic pressure checks are usually left for this stage as these are considered "commissioning procedures". In this case, this will include the air conditioning system of this car. This and considerable other work will be performed after the sale and before delivery. This is all done at NO CHARGE. Who else selling a Rolls-Royce on eBay does this?! Depending on our work load, please allow approximately 7-10 business days for this procedure. For more information on the Park-Ward Motor Museum and our skills, please eBay message me and I would be happy to show you some 100 Rolls-Royces restored to varying levels over the last few years ~~ **PLEASE read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** ~~ Important note: the $2,000 deposit is due within 24 hours. If not paid, or if no contact is received within that period, we reserve the right to offer the car to any other party.~~ ~~oo00oo~~ This Rolls-Royce is part of a private collection. Please also understand, the very nature of these classic Rolls-Royces is such that it is not always possible to attend to every item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked items. Further, and very importantly, these cars are classic cars also because they are old. So this means a 25 year old car is predominantly comprised of 25 year old parts. After all, it is some 25 years old. Should there be any legal dispute after the sale, (and I certainly hope there would never need to be!), all such disputes shall be determined in the jurisdiction of McHenry County, Illinois - the domicile of Park-Ward Motors. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-25 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”until you have familiarised yourself with the car. After all, it is some 25 years old. Should there be any legal dispute after the sale, (and I certainly hope there would never need to be!), all such disputes shall be determined in the jurisdiction of McHenry County, Illinois - the domicile of Park-Ward Motors. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-25 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”until you have familiarised yourself with the car. There are, of course, other aspects that add or subtract from their values – Long Wheel Base versus regular, the year which dictated certain technical changes, etc. The colour alone, for example can make a big difference. So for the benefit of new-comers to the marque please see the approximate guide to values based on a particular model below. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1977-1980 Make: Rolls-RoyceModel: Silver Shadow II Collectable: $50,000+Show car: $40,000+ Exceptional: $35-40,000 Excellent: $25-35,000 Good: $18-25,000 Average: $12-18,000 Fair: $6-12,000 Basket case: < $6,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Rolls-Royce being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II 1978 A simply STUNNING example! Here is a really stunning example of a Silver Shadow II. Finished in "Chestnut" with tan fine lines to the waist-rails. The interior has handsome biscuit tan Connolly hides and matching tan carpets. The same theme carries through to the boot. The Silver Shadow II was the ultimate of the Shadow series with many engineering upgrades to include rack & pinion steering, revised suspension geometry for a surer ride, factory dual (quiet) exhaust, climate control air conditioning and a revised dash-board lay-out. We know this car well - for some 5 years. This is an unmolested example that has been beautifully maintained and presents in excellent condition. A west coast Rolls-Royce all its life so it is a “dry” car that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It has always been well maintained and serviced. The Shadow II presented here has been work-shop inspected with any work needed carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes are fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes checking of all brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 51,140 and although this is not verifiable, the mileage is commensurate with the condition (particularly when you look at the condition of the interior, under-hood, brake pedal etc). The car actually looks like it has done only 20,000! It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model. I can't stress enough, just how beautiful this Shadow II is. The interior looks close to perfect. The biscuit tan leather is in absolutely outstanding condition with no wear nor fading and true to its Connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is stunning. All the wood was redone to “factory standard” by a leading California wood re-finisher at a cost of some $4,000. The process was done in accordance with the Rolls-Royce "multi-layer lacquering technique" which involves painstaking wet sanding and buffing by hand between all coats. The final finish on the wood throughout is simply stunning and like new. And, you have to thank Mother Nature for its beauty. The grain and pattern with thick knots makes it one of the most beautiful for Rolls-Royce. Absolutely stunning! It is primarily all original with the only modification being a high end Kenwood video display stereo system comprising a modern GPS and reverse camera system. Cost was over $3,000 by the previous owner. The head lining is original and in perfect condition. The original Wilton wool carpets with leather binding are in excellent condition. Likewise is the leather finish to the dash and top-roll. Even the boot (trunk) carpet with the same theme is in excellent condition. The exterior presentation of this Silver Shadow II is simply breath-taking. The body is exceptionally straight and the paint is of excellent high standard and finish. The car was repainted some 15 years ago and was a very high standard of finish; shiny, lustrous and totally consistent with only the most minor marks and blemishes. Certainly, the paint needs nothing other than a wax from time to time. We fitted a front Euro style airdam that really sets off the car (you can see before and after photos). The car has a good set of white-wall tyres fitted with plenty of tread and the hubcaps are excellent with no imperfections in the stainless rings or caps. All remaining bright-work is in good condition. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Even the clock keeps good time! Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The under-bonnet heat pads are like new! You must take the time to look at the photos of the engine bay as its presentation is like that of only a 5 year old example. Simply stunning! As you would expect, this Silver Shadow II comes with its original jack, correct tools and operating manual. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating. ~~ This stately Silver Shadow II is an excellent condition representation of the marque that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. Do nothing to her and take her to your next Rolls-Royce meet and you will attract considerable attention and be "prize-worthy"! ~~ International bidders are always welcome. For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. The photos are of super high resolution so if you right click on any, you can zoom in and see every little detail and defect in considerable detail. Click HERE to see additional photos! Gorgeous and rare "Chestnut" with Biscuit tan Connolly hides. Stunningly virtually "perfect" interior with super soft Connolly hides. Excellent, clean and wear-free headliner Trunk like new with all original carpets T Jack still wrapped in original factory paper Incredibly well maintained under the hood - not detailed for sale European front air dam fitted for that clean distinctive look Excellent lenses, glass and chrome Glass, chrome work, lights and lenses in excellent condition Hand painted pin-striping by artisans in 100% true Crewe tradition. Virtually flawless paint finish Upgraded modern stereo system with GPS and reverse camera ~ $3,000 Completely refinished wood to Crewe standards ~ 20 clear coats hand-rubbed to a glass finish. Perfect leather on the doors with no contraction nor pulling. Flawless wood & excellent leather finishes! A note from RRMOTORSINC: For those Rolls-Royce enthusiasts who have followed my auctions in the past I welcome you all. For those who are new to my adverts and/or the marque, please note that as a serious collector of some 30 years, all my cars are truly described examples. I have my own private Rolls-Royce workshop (not open to the public but dedicated to my own cars and fellow RR enthusiasts) with trained Rolls-Royce craftsmen who are proficient in all aspects. To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do too.” RRMOTORSINC is a division of Park-Ward Motors and The Park-Ward Motors Museum. **PLEASE read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** ~~ Important note: the $2,000 deposit is due within 24 hours. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 1972 (Last of the chrome bumper models) Detailed restoration by Rolls-Royce experts This is a very meticulously restored Silver Shadow saloon finished in 2-tone Magnolia over Old Ivory with "House of Lords" burgundy red. The waist-rails and hubcap beauty rings are accented with matching burgundy hand-painted fine lines. The colour combination is very elegant that presents beautifully and regally. In any setting the car takes on a very formal appearance. Contrasted with the rich red Connolly hides she simply looks stunning. This is a Californian car - its whole life - so is very clean and dry throughout without a spec of rust (before or after restoration!). It sports a "factory supplied" electric sun-roof which is quite rare for these early Shadows. The car has seen little use in its life having been dry stored on and off for many years. The car is so "clean" throughout that we believe the 26,000 miles is original. When Park-Ward acquired the car, it was very straight and completely dent free and overall clean. It sported 100% original paint, albeit it showing signs of fading and light scratches. The interior was clean and complete. It could easily have been described as in "drivable condition" but in order to achieve perfection, this gorgeous Silver Shadow has undergone considerable refurbishment. The paint job is stunning and was a bare metal respray costing some $18,000 and carried out by Rolls-Royce experts - Park-Ward Motor Museum's experienced RR body-shop. New front and rear window rubbers were fitted along with side window lower rubbers, body gaskets, clips, boot seal, edge finishers and sun-roof seal. All the bright work was removed and machined polished and then hand polished upon finally reassembly. This includes the grille, headlight brows, bumpers, side mouldings, rocker mouldings, door handles, bonnet moulding, hub caps, inner sill mouldings and door entry scuff plates. The finish is as good as you would hope for. To complete the "new-look" brand new tail lamp lenses and front turn signals and headlights were fitted! The interior is like new and is brochure quality. The Italian burl walnut wood is immaculate with the dash, console and rear vanity mirrors all original. Very rare for a Silver Shadow as the lacquer is usually peeling and cracked. This only further proves the car was a well cared for garaged example. The door wood and top roll windshield finisher have been redone by a previous owner and the finish is good. The final finish on the wood throughout is simply stunning. The leather is soft & supple with no tears or cracks and present beautifully having been re-Connollised (not the same as simple re-dying). It is completely original and just lovely. Any line or marks you see in the photos are the natural creases synonymous with Connolly hide leather. The Wilton wool carpets bound in leather are like new. The headlining in the car is excellent and we only refinished the rear parcel shelf as a result of some light staining. This was done in the factory correct wool broad-cloth as per Rolls-Royce specifications. All features and functions are working; electric windows, electric seats etc. The air conditioning blows icy cold with new hoses and valves having been recently fitted. Mechanically, this Shadow is a very fine example. Just a look at the engine bay pictures is testament to that. It has been detailed workshop inspected with anything required doing, attended to by Park-Ward's Rolls-Royce mechanics and craftsmen. The engine is smooth and quiet and the steering light but tight. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes were all fully inspected and serviced as required. This included servicing the reservoir, brake pumps, accumulators, valves, master cylinder, lines, hoses calipers and then final system pressure tested and bled. Many other serviceable parts were replaced and items attended to and repaired as needed. This includes the exhaust. It is ready to drive and enjoy. This Silver Shadow also drives very well, considerably quieter and smoother than you would normally expect for any Shadow of this era. Mileage is not verifiable but, commensurate with the car's pre-restoration condition, we believe it to be original. The white-wall tyres are brand new whitewall Cooper Trendsetters. As mentioned previously, the hubcaps have been machine polished and are excellent with no imperfections in the stainless or painted trim rings. The pin-striping on the beauty rings are finished in the original hand-painted technique using only the finest squirrel hair brushes and applied by an artisan with the steadiest of hands. All remaining bright-work is in excellent condition as are the chrome bumpers which are in beautiful condition. Every single feature and function is operating as it is supposed to and electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. A total of some $30,000 has been spent: Paint & finishers - $18,000 Interior refurbishment - $3,000 Mechanical service and repairs - $8,000 Sundry restoration items & procedures - $2,000 Early this year, the vehicle was taken on a Rolls-Royce Spring tour covering some 1,200 miles. It did so over 7 days effortlessly without a single issue or incident! ~~ This Silver Shadow is one of those hard-to-find examples where a considerable amount of money has been spent on restoring her to correct and original specifications. It is an excellent purchase for a buyer who simply wants a 9.5 out of 10 Silver Shadow and does not want to spend anything on her. This one is ready to "go and show". ~~ International bidders are always welcome. For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do too.” RRMOTORSINC is a division of Park-Ward Motors and The Park-Ward Motors Museum. **PLEASE read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** ~~ Important note: the $2,000 deposit is due within 24 hours. If not paid, or if no contact is received within that period, we reserve the right to offer the car to any other party.~~ ~~oo00oo~~ This Rolls-Royce is part of a private collection. Please also understand, the very nature of these classic Rolls-Royces is such that it is not always possible to attend to every item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked items. Further, and very importantly, these cars are classic cars also because they are old. So this means a 43 year old car is predominantly comprised of 43 year old parts. After all, it is some 43 years old. Should there be any legal dispute after the sale, (and I certainly hope there would never need to be!), all such disputes shall be determined in the jurisdiction of McHenry County, Illinois - the domicile of Park-Ward Motors. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-43 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country” until you have familiarised yourself with the car. ~~ **Please note: As a professional collector and experienced restorer, I have my own Rolls-Royce dedicated workshop with qualified craftsmen on hand; The Park-Ward Motor Museum. For more information on the Park-Ward Motor Museum and our skills, please eBay message me and I would be happy to show you some 100 Rolls-Royces restored to varying levels over the last few years ~~ VALUES: Rolls-Royce values vary wildly, entirely dependent on their condition. There are, of course, other aspects that add or subtract from their values – Long Wheel Base versus regular, the year which dictated certain technical changes, etc. The colour alone, for example can make a big difference. So for the benefit of new-comers to the marque please see the approximate guide to values based on a particular model below. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1970-1973 Make: Rolls-RoyceModel: Silver Shadow Show car: $40,000+ Exceptional: $35-40,000 Excellent: $25-35,000 Good: $18-25,000 Average: $12-18,000 Fair: $6-12,000 Basket case: < $6,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Rolls-Royce being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 1976 Recently fully workshopped and serviced. Priced for quick sale!! This is a nice presenting Silver Shadow finished in Old Ivory (pale yellow) with tan Connolly leather interior. Previously enthusiast owned, this is a nice clean driver example that is fun to potter around in but PLEASE understand she is no show car. She is mechanically and operationally sound. The body is reasonably straight but the paint is tired and showing some age. The car presents with a nice shine but there is mismatch colour on the right front fender and various top surfaces show pock marks and blemishes. There are little nicks and chips here and there and the car shows its typical "lead wiping" fracture marks which is common to ALL original Silver Shadows. (Rolls-Royce used a process of 'lead-wiping" to join body panels, so with the different metallurgic properties of lead, steel, and aluminium, the over-lying paint would fracture in these places). Overall, the car is a true "10 footer". When driving up in her, she looks nice but please be clear; close up, you can see the imperfections. The tan interior is the completely original Connolly leather and presents well and tidy. Although not brand new in appearance it does have a very lovely original patina about it that looks really nice. There are no tears, rips or heavy wear. Certainly, it shows the car has been well looked after in its 42 odd years. The wood was redone by someone other than us and although looks nice, it was not done to our normal and exacting standards. It otherwise still presents quite well with a high gloss and flat finish. The carpets are in good clean condition without any noticeable wear nor tears. The dash and rear parcel shelf are clean and present well. The original headliner, finished in broad cloth wool is in good condition but shows some discolouration. The trunk is in excellent condition. Very clean and tidy with its original factory wilton wool carpet. Under the hood, she is well organised and shows all the signs of a well maintained example. The car was recently inspected by Park-Ward Motors (America's leader in Silver Shadow restoration) and it shaped up very well. Brake hydraulics have all been done and various other mechanical items attended to, including exhaust and bringing all services up to date. The air conditioning is ice cold and has been pressure tested. Overall a nice looking car in very original condition. This is no show car but a nice 6 or 7-out-of-10 driver quality example. I think with little extra effort in the paint, it could be brought to a 9-out-of-10. It has its original jack and hand-book. Rear window is tinted dark. The car sports a set of near new super wide whitewall tyres which although not "our cup of tea" sets of the colour of the car well. Should you not like them, we would be happy to make arrangements to swap them out for a more traditional looking whitewall. ~~ This stately Silver Shadow is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It makes for a low cost tourer for either everyday driving or sunny weekend enjoyment! ~~ International bidders always welcome. We regularly sell world-wide. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1974-1976 Make: Rolls-RoyceModel: Silver Shadow LWB Show car: $40,000+ Exceptional: $35-40,000 Excellent: $25-35,000 Good: $18-25,000 Average: $12-18,000 Fair: $6-12,000 Basket case: < $6,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Rolls-Royce being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. Roll-RoyceSilver Shadow 1976 Immaculate, original & simply stunning presentation ~ A Silver Shadow with poise and dignity! A gorgeous two owner Silver Shadow sedan in simply stunning condition in every respect. This is one of the last of the Silver Shadows. It can be confidently said that the 1974-76 year manufactured Silver Shadows were the best of the series as they incorporated all of the technological and design enhancements developed over the life of the model (1966-76). This one is finished in “Shell Grey” (silver) with rich burgundy Connolly hide interior and matching floor rugs. The car is finished with hand-painted red fine-lines on the body waist-line and the hub-cap trim rings. The color is a stunning combination with the Silver presenting very regally against the rich and sumptuous burgundy interior. The matching carpets are a very formal touch and also carry thru to the trunk (boot). The body on the car is very straight and the paint is extremely nice. It had been a southern state car for most of its life. It was professionally repainted some 8-10 years ago so it presents absolutely beautifully. Other than the odd little chip and minor mark here and there (very minor and mentioned out of clear disclosure only) the paint is excellent. Entirely consistent, high in luster and no signs of any over-spray on any externally fitted part. Please understand, high metallic colours used by Rolls-Royce in the 70s did not "go the distance" and chemically broke down after 20 years to evidence loss of shine and fade. Silver was the biggest offender as it contained the most "metallic". All evidence shows this to be the only reason the car was repainted; never accident damaged and certainly no rust issues. When the car was repainted, it was with all windows out so these now all have new rubbers and gaskets to also include new secondary door seals (Silver Shadows tended to have wind-noise at high speed so Rolls-Royce developed a secondary seal to be fitted to eliminate this problem). All these new seals and gaskets alone are a $3,500 restoration cost. Rolls-Royce of this era also suffered from paint fracturing marks at the roof pillars where lead joints would cause the overlaying paint to crack. This car has almost no signs of this; quite the bonus! The interior of the car is in stunning condition with virtually perfect original Connolly hide leather. The leather has never been replaced or repaired. Excellent testament to its relatively low mileage (any lines you may see in the photos are the “natural” creases in the leather – for some reason, they are accentuated in the photos whereas in real life the seats present with a welcoming patina that is just gorgeous). The leather is soft and supple. All the wood is in excellent condition with the dash all original and the four door cappings never having been redone. Other than some minor and hardly noticeable hairline marks, it is close to perfect. In all, the wood presents exquisitely. This is very rare for a Silver Shadow and is a clear testament to its cosseted existence. The headlining is in beautiful condition without any of the "grubbiness" often seen on these wool headliners. The carpet is also excellent without a flaw. The deep grain and glossy finish of the rich grained wood in this example combined with the regal burgundy interior makes it all very rich and inviting. **For the winning bidder, a set of genuine Rolls-Royce lambswool mouton rugs are available. We recommend black or burgundy and we can arrange either. All interior features and functions are fully operational including all electrics – seats, windows, gauges, clock etc. The A/C blows icy cold and heater working well. Everything is all so clean and crisp. It has a modern stereo fitted but if preferred, we can reinstall an original push-button radio and factory installed 8-track cassette as Rolls-Royce did from new. The chrome and bright work is stunning without any pitting and the rubber around the car is good. Mechanically, the car is in superior condition and the presentation under the bonnet and under carriage clearly shows that. It has not been “done-up” for sale but maintained in original condition. All hydraulics and brakes have been inspected and tested, working well. Exhaust is good. The car has been fully work-shop inspected. The car comes with the correct jack, tools and operating manual. The car shows 95,000 miles, however, if I were to say it had done only 30,000 you would believe so. She is that good! The car comes with a 1" thick file of receipts and service records of its regular maintenance - very important for these cars. There is even a log sheet the previous owner kept for every little journey made. And as a final testament of the car's superior condition, there are 2 show award trophies included. This is a 10 out of 10 driver example that needs nothing else doing. It makes for a gorgeous “weekender” that you could take to your next RR meet with pride and joy. The car comes very close (if not already) to true Rolls-Royce (RROC display) standards. ~~ Being a significantly way-above average example of a Silver Shadow, this will bring a good price. Notwithstanding, it remains sensibly priced. ~~ International bidders are welcome. For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. The photos are of super high resolution so if you right click on any, you can zoom in and see every little detail and defect in considerable detail. Click HERE to see additional photos! Stunning Burgundy Connolly leather with matching carpeting - all original and very supple. Sumptuously soft leather seating Very soft and supple front and rear seat cushions. Original Connolly "hand-rubbed" leather finish A Silver Shadow with poise and dignity Click HERE to see additional photos! To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do too.” RRMOTORSINC is a division of Park-Ward Motors and The Park-Ward Motors Museum. ~~ Important note: the $2,000 deposit is due within 24 hours. If not paid, or if no contact is received within that period, we reserve the right to offer the car to any other party.~~ ~~oo00oo~~ This Rolls-Royce is part of a private collection. After all, it is some 25 years old. Should there be any legal dispute after the sale, (and I certainly hope there would never need to be!), all such disputes shall be determined in the jurisdiction of McHenry County, Illinois - the domicile of Park-Ward Motors. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-25 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country” until you have familiarised yourself with the car. At least, I have never done that. I have always professionally transported the cars in enclosed carriers from where I bought them to my home or office. ~~oo00oo~~ ~~ **Please note: As a professional collector and experienced restorer, I have my own Rolls-Royce dedicated workshop with qualified craftsmen on hand; The Park-Ward Motor Museum. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 1973 Show class quality restoration by Rolls-Royce experts This is a very handsomely restored Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow saloon exquisitely finished in Velvet Green with "House of Commons" green hides with hand painted gold fine-lines on the waist-rails and hubcap beauty rings. The Velvet green colour takes on a very formal and rich hue of green in sunlight and yet in the shade and at night presents as black. This colour was usually reserved for limousines and Division cars. It is simply stunning. In many cultures the double green combination is a symbol or prosperity and success and for this reason this car has been affectionately named; the "Money Car". This gorgeous Silver Shadow was the subject of considerable refurbishment by The Park-Ward Motor Museum about 2 years. The paint job is stunning and was a bare metal respray of some $20,000 and carried out by Rolls-Royce experts - Park-Ward's experienced RR body-shop. The paint is perfect without a single stone-chip, scratch or mark. Not a single one! If you see something in the pictures then it is a dust or dirt speck. Overall, some $42,000 was spent on her restoration. The car has attended various local shows and one 1st place each time. Make no mistake, this is a true show car! When the car was repainted, the windows were removed with new rubbers fitted, including side window finishes. Every piece of stainless steel was removed and machined buffed and then hand-polished before final assembly so they look stunning. This includes the grill, headlight brows, rocker spears, hubcaps and minor finishers. Even the door-jam stainless sill moulds were removed during the painting process and machined buffed. All the tail-lamp and headlight lenses were replaced for new ones. The fine-lines were painted by steady-hand & squirrel brushes in accordance with the Rolls-Royce/Bentley tradition. The interior is like new and is of virtual brochure quality. The Italian burl walnut wood is immaculate with the dash, console, radio surround, top-roll dash-pad finisher and all 4 doors having been recently redone by Park-Ward's own craftsmen. The process was done at considerable cost and in accordance with the Rolls-Royce "multi-layer lacquering technique" which involves painstaking wet sanding and buffing by hand between coats - no less than 25! The final finish on the wood throughout is simply stunning. The leather is lovely with no tears or cracks and presents beautifully having been re-Connollised (not the same as simple re-dying). Any line or marks you see in the photos are the natural creases synonymous with Connolly hide leather. The leather remains soft and supple. The carpets are the original factory Wilton wool nicely contrasted in pale sage green to "connect" with the overal Money green them. The headlining is also a very rare choice of subtle sage green not often seen and is in perfect condition as is all glass and interior finishes. The rear parcel shelf is in fine original condition. All features and functions are working; electric windows, electric seats etc. The Air conditioning blows icy cold with a new compressor having been recently fitted. Mechanically, this Silver Shadow a very fine example. It has been fully workshop inspected with anything required doing, attended to by Park-Ward's Rolls-Royce and Bentley mechanics and craftsmen. The engine is smooth and quiet and the steering light but tight. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes were all fully inspected and serviced as required. This included checking of all brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. Many other serviceable parts were replaced and items attended to and repaired as needed. It is ready to drive and enjoy. This Rolls-Royce drives particularly well, considerably quieter and smoother than you would normally expect for any other Shadow of this era. Mileage is not verifiable but commensurate with the car's pre-restoration condition. The white-wall tyres are the slightly wider type and really set the car off. They have done less than 1,000 miles since fitting 2 years ago. All features, functions and electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. The car has its original radio and 8-track cassette player. Some $42,000 was spent on the car's restoration: Paint & exterior finishes - $25,000 Interior refurbishment including refinished wood - $5,000 Mechanical service and repairs - $10,000 Sundry restoration items & procedures - $2,000 ~~ Our "Money car" Silver Shadow is of true show example and is one of those hard-to-find examples where a considerable amount of money has been spent on restoring her to correct and original specifications. It is an excellent purchase for a buyer who simply wants a 10 out of 10 Silver Shadow and does not want to spend anything on her. This one is ready to "go and show". ~~ This Silver Shadow is being aggressively priced at just under $50,000. For its uniqueness as a stunning well restored example, her value should be considerably more. Accordingly, please be respectful in making an offer. For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. The photos are of super high resolution so if you right click on any, you can zoom in and see every little detail and defect in considerable detail. Click HERE to see additional photos! After all, it is some 25 years old. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-25 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”until you have familiarised yourself with the car. ~~oo00oo~~ ~~ **Please note: As a professional collector and experienced restorer, I have my own Rolls-Royce dedicated workshop with qualified craftsmen on hand; The Park-Ward Motor Museum. Please note, a very poor condition example that is tired and not maintained can easily demand some $30,000 in restoration to make it a "nice" example but remember, it will be no longer original. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 1966 build Titled 1967 Very original 1 owner!! This is a totally original Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, finished in desirable Silver Sand with light tan Connolly hide leather interior. This is an amazing ORIGINAL condition example with a low 49,500 miles from only 1 owner from new. She still sports her original yellow on black Californian number plates. In the last 20 years, the car sat in a private collection of cars as an example of the Rolls-Royce marque. (The car has had only 1 other owner but that was simply as part of liquidating the estate). The car has an interesting history. It was ordered new by a Californian lady who whilst on vacation in London, visited the Rolls-Royce Conduit Street showroom. The purchase was made in October 1965 before the first Silver Shadow had even come off the production line. It was ordered as a US spec left hand drive. Completion was due in mid 1966 but because of production delays, the car was not completed until the end of 1966 and by the time it was imported to the US, it was to become titled as a 1967. Nonetheless, this Silver Shadow ranks amongst the first 50 LHD drive Silver Shadows ever made! Of further interest, the car was specially ordered with cloth rear seat inserts in a very soft shade of pink. This was because the lady was to be chauffeured and felt that this combination would be more comfortable. Upon this request, Rolls-Royce were not sure of they could do so but eventually confirmed "yes". In addition to this, the rear seat fold-down armrest was made to have a lid and compartment so the lady could place her make-up and nic-nacs. To complete the bespoke order, the hand painted pin-stripe on the waistrails and beauty rings were finished in a matching pale pink also. Finally topped off, with her monogram on each front door. All this is documented in correspondence between the buyer and Rolls-Royce UK and comes with the car. Describing the car; this is an entirely unmolested and original example that is difficult to describe in words. Never restored and simply cosseted its whole life. Mostly original factory paint, original interior with good leather, the wood presenting in very good original condition (the driver door appears to have been redone at some stage), carpets like new and a headliner that looks like it was installed yesterday - but indeed, also original. As importantly, it has been maintained meticulously. Although rarely driven, the car was kept in the collection under the eye of a Rolls-Royce caretaker who regularly maintained the car. When it arrived to us, it fired up immediately and purred on our maiden test drive. An original Californian car that was never been driven in inclement weather (and it shows), always garage kept and stored. The car today, is in exemplary condition. Very straight, very clean, very true in all characteristics Rolls-Royce. Mostly original paint - on an early Silver Shadow is almost an impossible find. The paint presents well but does show some blemishes and marks. None objectionable and we think its "originality" out-weighs the blemishes. The passenger side front fender is the only place where it has been repainted (not because of accident damage). It was blended into the passenger door and the colour match is not ideal. Once again, not really bad but if you are a perfectionist you might want to have this redone. (thePark-Ward Motors Museum has its own paint shop so please enquire if you would want this done by us). The interior remains virtually perfect and is an outstanding feature on this 4 door saloon. All the wood, window surrounds, carpet and roof-lining, are in immaculate condition. The Connolly hide leather is stunning, showing its original Connolly hide signature finish. Connolly leather has a 2-tone effect with a darker dressing in the depths of the grain. This Shadow shows it off well with just the right amount of patina to look like, and feel like, a high-endChesterfield couch. So inviting you want to just sit in it for no reason. Mechanically the car demonstrates all the hallmarks of a well maintained example. Technically superb with all brakes/hydraulics working well. Suspension heights are correct with even the front system still connected (Rolls-Royce agents were directed byCrewe to disconnect the front height control because it was considered redundant). The car drives incredibly smooth, without any bumps, rattles or knocks. It truly glides and “floats” like the Shadow of this era was designed and built to do. Testament of its well maintained history is the cleanliness under the hood. Not detailed but appropriately maintained. The trunk presents just as well without so much as mark in the carpet. All external bright-work is well above standard and lights and lenses like new. Normally, the rear quarter bumpers rust out where the brackets are internally welded - not even a pit! The car is simply stunning to admire as well as drive. ~~ Driving this Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is like trangressing back into the 1960s. It is a beautiful well-preserved example which is of true non-restored show quality. Very few examples exist of this standard. ~~ For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. Silver Shadow 1975 A beautiful original presenting example! Here is a really original example of a Silver Shadow. Finished in Old Ivory with black and red finelines to the waist-rails and beauty rings. The interior has strong contrasting ebony Connolly hides with matching Wilton carpets throughout. The same ebony theme carries through to the boot. This is an unmolested original presenting example that has been maintained by a Rolls-Royce enthusiast and collector with the car taken to many shows and displays. It is primarily all original with no modifications – right down to the original push button radio and separate Pioneer 8-track cassette player. It was owned by an Illinois enthusiast and yet has never been used outside of sunny, summer weather driving. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It has always been well maintained and serviced by authorized Rolls-Royce agents and comes with its original manual. The body on this Silver Shadow is very straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous. The car still sports 90% of its original paint. When you look down the sides of the car, they are very straight and true. The paint presents beautifully with only the most minor little mark here and there from use but consistent with a low-mileage car. It does display some of the typical paint cracking in the lead-wiping areas of the car (A & C pillars) which is common to not a few, but ALL original Silver Shadows. (Rolls-Royce used a process of 'lead-wiping" to join body panels, so with the different metallurgic properties of lead, steel, and aluminium, the over-lying paint would fracture in these places). It needs nothing other than a wax from time to time. The interior of this Silver Shadow looks close to perfect. The black Connolly hide leather is 100% original from the factory. It has never been re-dyed and is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and very supple and soft – true to its Connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is beautiful. They are also completely original and have not been redone. Although not flawless (not a word you can use flippantly) but in excellent condition with only the most minor imperfections on the front door cappings. Certainly stunning for a 35 year old Rolls-Royce and by no means in need of redoing. The colour is deep, the grain rich and the finish smooth. The head lining is all original and in great condition without any stains or soiling. Likewise, is the Everflex finish to the dash and top-roll. The matching black Wilton wool carpets are in excellent condition and in a nice "unused" condition. The boot (trunk) carpet with the same theme is also in great condition. The Silver Shadow presented here has been work-shop inspected where all work needed carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes were fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes checking of all brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 55,500 and the overall condition of the car evidences, without doubt, the mileage is correct (particularly when you look at the condition of the interior, under-hood, brake pedal etc). It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model. The white-wall Michelin 225/75 15 tyres are a very period touch. Although old, they have plenty of tread and ride smoothly. The hubcaps are excellent with no noticeable imperfections. All remaining bright-work is in good condition. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. The previous owner was very meticulous in presentation for shows. Everything is factory original in presentation and has been precision detailed, parts painted, lines and connectors buffed & polished and everything cleaned to a clinical degree. Even the factory fitted fan-belts with the name "Rolls-Royce" were fitted so that the names lined up with each other on the double pullies. The under-bonnet heat pads are near new! You must take the time to look at the photos of the engine bay as its presentation is like that of only a 3 year old example. Simply stunning! As you would expect, this Silver Shadow comes with its original jack, correct tools and operating manual. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 9 out of 10 driver rating. ~~ This stately Silver Shadow is an excellent condition representation of the marque that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It makes for an excellent driver for either everyday driving or sunny weekend enjoyment. You could easily take her to your next Rolls-Royce meet and attract attention if not a prize – it is that good! ~~ For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. After all, it is some 25 years old. This is the nature of any classic car and especially a Rolls-Royce which was very "complicated" for its era. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition:The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-25 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”until you have familiarised yourself with the car. As the old saying goes; "we love to hate them and hate to love them!" So, please respect the terms and conditions when you bid.~~oo00oo~~ ~~ **Please note: As a professional collector and experienced restorer, I have my own Rolls-Royce dedicated workshop with qualified craftsmen on hand; The Park-Ward Motor Museum. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1967-1976 Make: Rolls-RoyceModel: Silver Shadow Show car: $45,000+ Exceptional: $35-40,000 Excellent: $25-35,000 Good: $18-25,000 Average: $12-18,000 Fair: $6-12,000 Basket case: < $6,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Rolls-Royce being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 1975 Multiple show winning car, including 2014 RROC best touring Shadow! "1800TU" We are very proud to present what is arguably one of the nicest Silver Shadows available today. Finished in Cardinal red with tan fine lines to the waist-rails and hubcap beauty rings. The interior has handsome light tan (beige) Connolly hides with rich burgundy piping on the seats. This is a true show winning car having taken out 1st prize at the 2014 Rolls-Royce (RROC) National meet in Pennsylvania and numerous other classic car shows over the last few years. A Canadian delivered car that has - unbelievably - never seen snow and is super clean throughout. Its most recent owner of the last 5 years was/is a passionate Rolls-Royce enthusiast that has meticulously maintained the car thru us at Park-Ward. Anything ever needed doing on the car was regularly attended to. So fussy is the owner, he would ship the car to us each year to attend to her needs. Review the number plates fitted to the car and this tells you the enthusiastic nature of its owner (1800 TU - a famous Rolls-Royce number plate). We think this is the best condition mid 70s Silver Shadow you will find. Very importantly about this example, is that she is a regularly driven car - the best thing for a Silver Shadow. Its owner not only drove her regularly when not stored for the winter but would take her on long tours. This year from Toronto, Canada to the Pennsylvania RROC meet and in 2012 from Toronto down to the RROC meet in Kentucky. And, she always behaved sure and strong. These are photos of Sir David Plastow, Chairman of Rolls-Royce from 1972 to 1980. Under his chairmanship, the world's "Best Cars" were produced. See him with 1800TU at the 2012 RROC National event. 1975 2012 "Man continually seeks a better way of life. He is constantly climbing out of one situation upwards into the next, and the symbol of his success during most of this century has often been the type of car he drives."- Sir David Plastow, 1973 public statement Sir David Plastow - Chairman of Rolls-Royce (1972-1980) with "1800TU" at the 2012 RROC meet There is something to be said about well maintained and regularly exercised Silver Shadows. This example is one of the nicest driving Shadows you will experience. Very much the product of a hand-built car, some are simply better than others. Well, this one is outstanding to drive. Very smooth, very quiet, very solid and without the hint of a rattle or thump. When she idles, you have to check that she is still running. Simply outstanding. The car is very original in presentation. Everything is factory standard from the radio and 8-track down to the hubcaps. She was repainted some 10 years ago to a very high standard and carries the benefit of being finished in 2-stage clear over base delivering complete consistency and a very deep shine. When repainted, it was a "windows out" exercise at a cost of over $20,000 with all new rubbers and gaskets fitted. There are no signs of any of the typical lead-wiping cracks at the usual places. The car is also free of any chips, scratches or marks. She is truly blemish free. Looking across all the panels, she is dead straight and very true without even a dimple. Her enthusiastic owner was a stickler for perfection and regularly polished & waxed her always finishing her off with a show quality detail. The body, paint, bright work, lights, glass, and intricate finishes are simply stunning. Fitted to the car is a European spec front air dam and non-operational fog lights which set the car off beautifully. The interior of this Silver Shadow is almost as perfect. The light tan and burgundy piped Connolly hide leather is 100% original from the factory. It is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and very supple and soft – true to its Connolly characteristics - you can squeeze the leather between your fingers and have it bounce back when you let go. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is in entirely original. They are not perfect with the front door cappings showing minor signs of hair-line cracks in the clear lacquer. Because they are completely original, we decided not to redo them, but if you are seeking absolute perfection, please enquire about our refinishing service. We are the best in the country for Silver Shadow. As its stands, they are nonetheless lovely and certainly stunning for a 39 year old Rolls-Royce. The colour is deep, the grain rich and the finish smooth. The head lining is all original and in excellent condition. Likewise, is the finish to the dash and top-roll and the rear parcel shelf. The matching light tan Wilton wool carpets are in very good condition and nicely protected by the original Rolls-Royce “Mouton” (lambswool) rugs. The boot (trunk) carpet with the same theme is also in great condition. The Silver Shadow presented here has been work-shop inspected where all work needed is carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes are fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes checking of all brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 66,000 and the overall condition of the car evidences, without doubt, the mileage is correct (particularly when you look at the condition of the interior, under-hood, brake pedal etc). The white-wall Hankook tyres are new from February 2014. The hubcaps are excellent with no imperfections having been machined buffed and then hand polished to a perfect shine. All remaining bright-work is in good condition. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has been beautifully maintained in accordance with the rest of the car. The under-bonnet heat pads are like new! You must take the time to look at the photos of the engine bay as its presentation is like that of only a 5-10 year old example. Simply stunning! As you would expect, this Silver Shadow comes with its original jack, correct tools and operating manual. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating. ~~ This amazing Silver Shadow is an stunning example of the marque that is ready to be driven, enjoyed and shown at any car event. It is simply as perfect as you could expect for driving enjoyment. She is a show winner so you know more can be expected, but most importantly, she is simply a darling to own. ~~ For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. We adopt a “keep it original” mentality with pride and confidence, offering after sales technical support and assistance well beyond the sale. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 1968 build (titled 1969) 35,900 genuine miles, 1 owner!!In absolutely stunning original condition This is a totally original Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, finished in desirable Mason's black with Dove grey (blue-grey) Connolly hide leather interior. The coach work waist-rails and hubcap beauty rings are finished in hand-painted lines of fine silver. This is an amazing COMPLETELY ORIGINAL condition example with a breathtaking 35,900 miles from only 1 owner from new. In the last 15 years, the car sat in a museum for public display as a pristine example of the Rolls-Royce marque. This is an entirely unmolested and original example that is difficult to describe in words. Never restored and simply cosseted its whole life. Completely original factory paint, 100% original interior without so much as even a touch up on the seats or other leather finishes, the wood's original French polishing lacquer is in perfect condition, carpets like new and a headliner that looks like it was installed yesterday - but indeed, also original. As importantly, it has been maintained meticulously. Although rarely driven, the car was kept in the museum under the eye of a Rolls-Royce caretaker who regularly maintained the car. When it arrived to us, it fired up immediately and purred on our maiden test drive. An original North American car that was never driven in inclement weather (and it shows), always climate control stored. The car today, is in exemplary condition. Very straight, very clean, very true in all characteristics Rolls-Royce. The paint is deep in lustre and shine and is entirely consistent. There has never been a repair or spray touch-up and to the purist, this is the Holy Grail. Original paint on a an early Silver Shadow is almost an impossible find and this one is simply stunning. The underside is pristinely clean and the word "rust" is simply foreign. The interior remains virtually perfect and is an outstanding feature on this 4 door saloon. All the wood is completely and 100% original and is flawless. There is not even the slightest sign of hair-line cracking in the lacquer. Simply amazing and unbelievable! The window surrounds, carpet and roof-lining, are in immaculate condition. The Connolly hide leather is stunning. Never been redyed and not so much as even a touch-up, showing its original Connolly hide signature finish. Connolly leather has a 2-tone effect with a darker dressing in the depths of the grain. If you are familiar with Cognac leather in early Mercedes, you will understand this description, but with the Rolls-Royce leather, the effect being more subtle. Any form of redying, loses this burnished grain effect. This Shadow shows it off well with just the right amount of patina to look like, and feel like, a high-end Chesterfield couch. So inviting you want to just sit in it for no reason. This is an example that looks like it is only a few years old. Certainly not 45! Mechanically the car demonstrates all the hallmarks of a well maintained example. Technically superb with all brakes/hydraulics working well. Suspension heights are correct with even the front system still connected (back in the 70's Rolls-Royce agents were directed by Crewe to disconnect the front height control because it was considered redundant). The car drives incredibly smooth, without any bumps, rattles or knocks. It truly glides and “floats” like the Shadows of this era were designed and built to do. ~~ Driving this Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is like travelling back in time to the early 1970s. It is a beautiful well-preserved example which is of true non-restored concours quality. Very few examples exist of this quality world-wide. ~~ For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. Because most of my cars are offered for the pleasures of driving enjoyment it is not always possible or practical to seek perfection (in the true sense of the word) but we do always uphold excellence in whatever we do. Our cars are by no means cheap priced cars but we like to think they are amongst the best. To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do too.” RRMOTORSINC is a division of Park-Ward Motors and The Park-Ward Motors Museum. We can always be reached at +1-312-320-6996. Please also understand, the very nature of these classic Rolls-Royces is such that it is not always possible to attend to every item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked items. Further, and very importantly, these cars are classic cars also because they are old. So this means a 45 year old car is predominantly comprised of 45 year old parts. After all, it is some 45 years old. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-45 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”until you have familiarised yourself with the car.
