The Silver Dawn, though not as well known as some of the other Rolls models, is a four door sedan that shares the amazing build quality, mechanicals and many of the timeless body lines of the better known models that make Rolls Royce’s stand out from the crowd. The owner of this car passed away in 2007, and the car has sat in climate controlled storage since. We took the car out of storage, and revived her. She received a full service, including FULL REBUILD OF ALL BRAKES, including calipers and pads, all fluids and assorted seals around the car. The car also received a NEW SET OF TIRES. The car runs and drives as would be expected of a 27,000 vehicle. The original Black paint is in very good shape with deep shine and luster, the occasional rock chip being the only flaws. The Tan leather interior is supple and soft throughout, again, as would be expected of a low mileage car. The leather headliner sags slightly, not enough to require repair. All wood and veneers throughout the car are uncracked, well preserved and have great “burl”. All of her mechanical systems work properly and the A/C blows ice cold. The 6.75 Liter V8 puts out great power and torque. The transmission shifts and operates smoothly without any hesitation. The doors lock and the alarm are functional however the power door locks are currently inoperable. The car comes with all books, original window sticker and maintenance records. This is a ONE OWNER CAR with an incredibly low 16,800 miles; she is in near pristine condition both mechanically and cosmetically. The car is amazingly clean, very straight and very original throughout. The car lived in a climate controlled garage its entire life and was stored since 2007; she was recently recommissioned. She received over $10,000 in repairs to all of her critical systems, and runs and drives as new.Rolls-Royces are hand-made cars, but what few people know is that the Corniche was THE true bespoke manufactured Rolls-Royce. The body shells were hand-made in Italy and shipped to Rolls-Royce in Crewe where they were all finished to the highest of Rolls-Royces rigid standards. Because of the small production runs and hand made nature of these cars, it is almost impossible to find two exact built cars. To the non-discerning eye this would not be detectable but the purist would note subtle differences between these cars – even if they were only one chassis number apart. Each car was built and fine-tuned in such a way to achieve the best possible ride, performance and operation specific to each build. Because of this very unique approach it is no wonder that these cars were so expensive when new. It also comes as no surprise that no 2 cars drive “exactly” the same. This Corniche is a very special car; a one owner car, she has only traveled 16,800 miles and has been well maintained and received everything she needed. Recent work includes new suspension accumulators, brake work and new tires; the car need nothing!!! The presentation under the hood, is the true testimony to its pampered life and low mileage.The body and BLACK paint on the car are simply lovely befitting a 30 year old car with only 16,800 miles. The interior of the car is completely original with all the leather untouched and factory original; the look great and are buttery smooth!!! The wood throughout is also all original and in almost flawless condition. As a bonus, the burl walnut grain on this wood set is very defined and rich with a lot of “knots”. It looks magnificent. Carpets, dash, roof cover ("boot") are all in excellent condition. In fact the carpets must have always been covered because they are truly like new. The original door featured cocktail sets are all in place with flasks and Tudor crystal shot glasses unused and still in its original wax paper!!!All features on the car work as they should. The engine is smooth and has great power, the A/C is ice cold, heater is hot and climate control works as it should. All windows work, including the rear seat ¼ glasses which are famous for not working at all. Electric seats are working well and are not “tired”. All gauges work, as are all the dash lights and interior lights. The convertible top on the car is in excellent shape and works well without complications. The rear window is completely clear, the signs of a low mileage well cared for car.This is obviously not your average Corniche II convertible!!!With the car comes its original books jack and tools. She even has the original instruction templates for the Climate Control (these are printed paper cards that were loosely attached to the unit controls so the new owner could easily learn how the system works and then remove them). This is possibly the finest Corniche in existence, and needs nothing except an enthusiastic new owner . This is a ONE OWNER CAR with an incredibly low 16,800 miles; she is in near pristine condition both mechanically and cosmetically. The car is amazingly clean, very straight and very original throughout. The car lived in a climate controlled garage its entire life and was stored since 2007; she was recently recommissioned. She received over $10,000 in repairs to all of her critical systems, and runs and drives as new. Rolls-Royces are hand-made cars, but what few people know is that the Corniche was THE true bespoke manufactured Rolls-Royce. The body shells were hand-made in Italy and shipped to Rolls-Royce in Crewe where they were all finished to the highest of Rolls-Royces rigid standards. Because of the small production runs and hand made nature of these cars, it is almost impossible to find two exact built cars. To the non-discerning eye this would not be detectable but the purist would note subtle differences between these cars – even if they were only one chassis number apart. Each car was built and fine-tuned in such a way to achieve the best possible ride, performance and operation specific to each build. Because of this very unique approach it is no wonder that these cars were so expensive when new. It also comes as no surprise that no 2 cars drive “exactly” the same. This Corniche is a very special car; a one owner car, she has only traveled 16,800 miles and has been well maintained and received everything she needed. Recent work includes new suspension accumulators, brake work and new tires; the car need nothing!!! The presentation under the hood, is the true testimony to its pampered life and low mileage. The body and BLACK paint on the car are simply lovely befitting a 30 year old car with only 16,800 miles. The interior of the car is completely original with all the leather untouched and factory original; the look great and are buttery smooth!!! The wood throughout is also all original and in almost flawless condition. As a bonus, the burl walnut grain on this wood set is very defined and rich with a lot of “knots”. It looks magnificent. Carpets, dash, roof cover ("boot") are all in excellent condition. In fact the carpets must have always been covered because they are truly like new. The original door featured cocktail sets are all in place with flasks and Tudor crystal shot glasses unused and still in its original wax paper!!! All features on the car work as they should. The engine is smooth and has great power, the A/C is ice cold, heater is hot and climate control works as it should. All windows work, including the rear seat ¼ glasses which are famous for not working at all. Electric seats are working well and are not “tired”. All gauges work, as are all the dash lights and interior lights. The convertible top on the car is in excellent shape and works well without complications. The rear window is completely clear, the signs of a low mileage well cared for car. This is obviously not your average Corniche II convertible!!! With the car comes its original books jack and tools. She even has the original instruction templates for the Climate Control (these are printed paper cards that were loosely attached to the unit controls so the new owner could easily learn how the system works and then remove them).
