Starting out has an original 911S the previous owner converted the car into a replica of the Porsche 930 Slantnose. The original 930 Slantnose was a part of Porsche%26#8243; special order program and started as a 930 Turbo from the factory; then sent to the special order program to be converted. The main difference was the front section of the car was remodeled into a %26#8220;Slantnose;%26#8221; trying to replicate Porsche%26#8243; famous 935 racecar. It is believed only 948 units were ever produced, making the prices for a factory built Slantnose outrageous. Since the factory a built Slantnose is incredibly rare, the original owner wanted to have the look without the trouble of finding one and avoided the price those cars demand. From the factory the Slantnose was remodeled by hand; Porsche hand built the rocker panels, rear fender flares, scooped vents, and flip-up headlights with functional louvers. True to the original this 911S has every feature the original factory Slantnose were given from Porsche%26#8243; special order program.This car has been maintained well and upgraded tastefully by the previous owner in Arizona. The previous owner stated that he purchased the car it was painted in white, which was not the original color for the car. Instead he had the car taken apart down to the shell and repainted the original special order Gemini Metallic Blue using a dual coat of base clear paint. The time and money spent taking the car back to original color shows; the car looks amazing. With only a few paint chips showing on the front bumper. The Slantnose panels and original panels are in great shape with no obvious dings or dents. A Porsche signature, the doors still make the correct noise when closing which helps confirm a very straight car. Very rare 3-piece BBS Turbo wheels are painted two-tone, black lips with the body color blue basket-weave mated with newer Kumho tires show very little tread wear. The cockpit is in great shape with only minor wear showing on the black leather seats. All of the gauges along with dash and steering wheel are original and in very good condition.Porsche%26#8243; 2.7L flat six is truly one of the best engines ever made, the smoothness and intake noise are incredible. Keeping with the original slantnose form the previous owner has had several engine upgrades to match the original horsepower factory 930 Slantnose made. This was achieved by removing the factory fuel injection and replacing the fuel delivery system with twin Weber carburetors on both sides of the intake. Racing tensioners and heat boxes were added along with performance headers that dump into the 911 Turbo style exhaust system. Since numerous performance upgrades allow the engine to produce more horsepower high-output fans help keep the air-cooled engine. The previous owner lived in Arizona and never had any problems overheating in the desert sun. The engine starts just as it should and has plenty of power to give most sports cars a run for their money.What are you waiting for? The body is in excellent condition, showing off the curvy yet timeless lines that Porsche has made iconic over the years.
