When we spotted this car we had lots of interest due to its low mileage and equipment, I went down to New Jersey to check it out prior to purchasing, to my surprise it was running perfectly and was running super strong, it had no sign of flooding I could not see any water lines on the door panels, or on the interior carpet, all it had was an AIRBAG LIGHT that was triggered, I had brought my Porsche Piwis Scanner to find out that the AirBag module needed replacement and thats it, this car did not need anything else. When we brought this baby back in Miami we had a chance to inspect it 100% and see what was needed, I did not have maintenace history however there was no signs that this car wasn't maintained properly however the paint was not the best, it had some normal chips on the hood some scrapes on the front bumper a couple scratches on the driver's door and couple scuffings here and there, I would assume the owner wasnt careful with the paint work. Other than that the car was jsut like any other used car on the market. What did we do to this car to bring it to Maxspeed-Motorsports Standards? First we purchased an AirBag control module and we replaced it and that solved our AirBag warning light. Because we had no maintenance history we went all the way. First we dropped the engine oil and filter, transmission oil and filter, brake fluid and antifreeze, in other words fresh fluids all over. Then came the tune-up, air filter, cabin filter, plugs and belts. We replaced all 4 rotors and pads as well. Repaced both stabilizer links in the rear suspension that appeared to have a bit of play. We stripped the interior carpet (the main floor carperting) to look for any signs of humidity and no issues, we simply washed the carpet since that we had it out. In other words we wanted this car to be in the best shape possible and we didn't spare anything. This engine had and has no oil leaks, we verified the IMS bearing for signs of wear we cut up the oil filter to make sure that the IMS was 100%. We sent it out for a paint refresh on the hood and other areas that needed attention and the body shop suggested a total paint jobto match all panels and it came out nicely, needless to say paint is close to perfect now. We then had it inspected by DMV in Miami and it passed inspection with flying colors even the inspector could not believe that the insurance company had paid off this car to the previous owner. What upgrades were performed to this car? We have 11K's (Eleven thousand Dollars of tasteful upgrades to this baby) These upgrades are the most desirable upgrades a Boxster Owner can wish for. -Just put Brand New 19" Porsche 981 Replica Wheels with Brand new Hankook Rubber. MECHANICAL: 100% Straight and True ABOUT PRICING We do understand that this car has a "rebuilt" title and it does affect the value of a car we know that , however a 2005 Boxster S in this condition without these fantastic upgrades will run you in the Mid-20's easily, again I am talking about an excellent condition 2005 Boxster S, in this particular case you are getting tons of desirable upgrades for a little less than a normal 2005 Boxster S. Why buy Boxster? As the title says you can buy one for similar price to a sub-compact car, and probably bigger trunk space (it has very useful front and rear trunk). Reliability is way up there, as its evident by JD Powers placing it number one. As most of us drive alone most of the time, this would be a perfect car, how often do you have more than one passenger? Why buy a Boxster "S"? For similar price as a base model, you get extra 50hp, it just drives/handles much better What separates this particular car from the rest? Its a one driver car NON-SMOKER), I had leased it and once the lease was up, I bought it through my company, so although the title might show 2 owners, in reality I have been (literally) the only driver. I have done most of the oil changes myself, always used Chevron Supreme unleaded gas. The odo shows about 66k miles, but it had an engine swap at 26k miles, under warranty by Beverly Hills Porsche (bill is shown). So the engine has only 40k miles! It has always been garaged, spoilt Southern California car. Honestly its near mint inside and out besides some minor cosmetic issues mentioned earlier. If sold at full price, I can get the scratch at the rear fender fixed (if you would like me to). But it happened in some super market and I never bothered to fix it (preferred not to touch factory paint). As many of you already know, Ferrari stopped making manuals in 2011. Prosche doesn't offer manual for the Carrera Turbo and higher models, and right now less than 1 in 20 cars have manuals (if you count Cayanne and Panamera, its probably much less). Most likely they will also stop making manuals within the next couple of years, so manuals will become rare collectors item. Not to mention the bond a manual transmission offers the driver with the car that is absolutely different from a passive automatic or even double clutch. This car is optioned perfectly. Take a look at the Carrera GT style steering wheel, the look of the car is completely different from the triangular shaped generic steering wheel. And once you try the sports seats, the standard seat will seem irrelevant in this car. Coupled with the Bose stereo with subwoofer, bi-xenon headlights and the sports exhaust, honestly there are no other options necessary on this model.I have not greased up the car like the dealers do, you will get a clean honest to goodness Boxster S sports car for years of trouble free top down enjoyment. Most sellers may not disclose common defects when selling you a vehicle and realize if they list the vehicle at auction then they will have to announce any ailments or run the risk that the vehicle will be arbitrated by the buyer. Be aware that you usually get what you pay for and no seller will sell you a car for less than a dealer or auction will pay for it. Depending on the market trend during any particular time of the year, Hiline often sends cars to auction to fetch the market price. People are often surprised to see how much money a pristine pre-owned vehicle fetches at auction in comparison to a subpar product. 4. Hiline wants you to be aware of book value prices such as Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds and NADA. These values are often highly inaccurate and no in-person inspection is made by any of these companies to determine a vehicle’s actual value. A vehicle’s value is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, availability of the product, mileage, color, options, desirability, residual value and overall condition. Most of these books are depreciating cars in relation to MSRP, mileage, and assumed depreciation over time. It is simply impossible to value an automobile based upon its numbers and ignoring its condition because no two vehicle’s are ever treated identically over their operational life. Therefore, the only accurate indicator of value is assessing what a vehicle is consistently selling for at a dealer auction at the specific time you are purchasing. This price is both objective and subjective because many of the prices on the auction listings include vehicles which may be damaged, buy backs, inoperative, or suffering from any other issue which will compromise selling price. This is especially important because you may find a vehicle that advertised for an unrealistic price, and not accounting for the vehicle’s actual market value. Most people who bring vehicles into Hiline for trade claiming they received a “good deal” when they purchased the vehicle are oftentimes surprised and upset when they are shown clear evidence that what they believed to be a good deal was actually an inflated price for the product they purchased. 5. Some states have mileage exemption title status on vehicles over 10 years old. 3) What you see is what you get. We do not always have all keys, books, floormats, or other accessories for every car. Therefore, you will receive only the accessories that are photographed. If you do not see it, assume the item is not included. 4) Vehicle mileage may vary from that stated in the auction due to test drives, maintenance, and other use necessary to the sale of the vehicle. 5) The stated overall condition of the vehicle, whether it may be termed showroom, clean, mint, or otherwise, is determined upon the model year & mileage of the car in comparison to other cars of similar age & miles. This is a pre-owned car, and buyers must be aware that ordinary wear is associated with all pre-owned cars. We do our best to photo any & all imperfections which we feel may be noticeable to an extremely particular buyer. Keep in mind that not all imperfections can appear on a digital photo. Some cars may have had repairs mechanically or cosmetically. Some cars may have touch-ups, scratches, scuffs, seat or interior wear but we do our best to ensure that none of these issues retracts from the overall appearance of the car. 6) Regarding factory warranties, we are not responsible for factory warranty expiration dates, remaining warranty time, type, validity, or other information. We estimate factory warranty expiration dates using vehicle production dates and Carfax information. If you want to be certain of the exact warranty expiration date, terms, validity, etc., please verify this information with a certified franchise dealer of the applicable car make. 7) Vehicle and/or delivery shall be available only after all financial transactions have cleared. You can make arrangements to pay us by calling within 24 hours after making your purchase. Once any payments are made whether it be a deposit or otherwise, then we will fax you a purchase order which verifies your payment. 8) Every one of our cars is Carfax certified, which means that Carfax will buy the car back if any major damage, flood, salvage, odometer problems, or buybacks exist in the vehicle's history. If something exists on a Carfax or Autocheck report pertaining to an accident, then feel free to call us, and we will let you know what (if anything) has been repaired. Many accidents which reported are fender-benders, bumper scuffs, or incidents which happen to have been filed by a police department or repair shop inspection. Do not be alarmed. Simply call us, and we will give an accurate assessment of what (if anything) has been repaired. We do not buy cars which have been in major collisions or have had significant damage which may compromise the car. However, Carfax may give a vague account of an incident without clarifying specifics. We usually have the Accident Record from the Police Department if it is attainable. If you call us, then we will tell you exactly what (if anything) has been done.
