Beautiful, rare, well-cared for Porsche 968 Cabriolet. I am a Porsche collector and have Porsches that range throughout the decades. What's very interesting is that this 968 cab garners as much attention as any of them ... including my 930 Slantnose. It just has great lines. You can see the similarities to the 993 generation of the 911 ... same mirrors, same headlight angles, same generation ... it just looks right. And just as the 993 was the last of the air-cooled 911 this is the last (and best) of the wonderful front-engined 924 and 944 models. It has the famed 50:50 perfect balance and is a blast to drive. I bought this car for my wife and she has really enjoyed it but has recently purchased a more modern Boxster and due to space limitations we need to move this one along to another great home. Car is in excellent shape both physically and mechanically, but as all 24 year old cars is not perfect. A few of the minor issues are: * some curbing to the front left wheel* one small tear in the cloth top (approximately 1.5-2.0 inches long) as well as a small spot where the plastic window and cloth have become unstitched* a few very minor scratches here and there … but nothing more than you would expect from a 24 year old car that has been driven … but no dents that I am aware of* front chin spoiler sags a little … very typical for these cars* again, that's it, all very minor but wanted to make sure the buyer had full disclosure Again, car has been very well taken care and is a wonderful car … I believe the next owner will be very happy with it.

Offered is this rare hard to find Porsche 968 Convertible with 5 speed manual. Looks, runs and drives great.Has approximately 25, 000 miles on the professionally swapped and modified Mazda RX 8 engine and transmission. Have a narrative build sheet and pictures of this swap from its owner who originally built this having with him only the car less engine and transmission. It was well built/done and no corners were cut with even the low mileage Rotary totally rebuilt. A lot of man hours went into this from machinist to fabricators to best install the engine and transmission. Original miles were 20,000 on the RX-7 engine it came out of ad it was driven very little since then. Has fewer horse power of course then the 3.0 liter original Porsche engine but braking and handling is far more superior in this modified version. This body style and model of Porsche is very Rare and the way it sits now; it runs, looks and drives great. I know to a Porsche purist, this may not look appealing buy considering its rarity, I'm glad it was modified to be put back on the road for enjoyment. A great daily driver and all around vehicle.
