The 1989 - 1991 944 Turbo's were the most powerful versions with 250HP and 258 lb-ft of torque. This 1989 944 Turbo has been meticulously cared for by the previous owner(s) and is now being cared for and maintained by the Porsche Factory Trained Classic Technicians of Porsche Colorado Springs. The Guards Red paint shows like new with a clear mask installed on the front bumper and partial hood, fenders, mirrors, door edges, and quarter panels. The Black partial leather interior also shows like new with no wear marks on the front seats or handled surfaces such as the steering wheel and gear shifter. The 944 Turbo has been recently inspected and serviced by Master Porsche Classic Technician, Dave Petitti of Porsche Colorado Springs. Full vehicle service includes the following - Extensive Porsche Classic Vehicle InspectionEngine oil and filter replaced using Mobil 1 0W40 full synthetic oilBrake system fluid renewedFront brake discs replacedFront brake pads and sensors replacedFront brake calipers refurbishedThis 944 Turbo's story - Provided by the PCA Vice President for the Alpine Mountain Region, John DuclosThe car was first registered August 8, 1989 and had a list price of $47,600. The first owner is unknown. The second owner of the 944 Turbo lived in Phoenix, Arizona and was an active PCA concours judge in the Phoenix and Tucson areas. The second owner reported the car had been partially repainted prior to his ownership. The owner believed there was damage to the left rear quarter panel and that area of the car was repaired and repainted. The 2012 service included timing and balance shaft belts, idler pulleys and tensioners, replacement of fuel hose from rail to damper, replacement of fuel hoses from body to fuel rail, replacement of the A/C and Alternator belt, and replacement of the power steering belt. A copy of the service ticket from the service has been provided. Tires were replaced in March of 2013 and a clear mask was installed in 2013. The original receipt for the clear mask has been provided.Concours results provided by third owner - 2013 Colorado Concours: Fourth in Class, PCA Class Judging2014 Colorado Concours: First in Class, Full Concours Class Judging The fourth owner purchased the 944 Turbo in early 2016 and drove it very little. The third owner reports the car had chrome wheels during his ownership which have since been replaced or painted silver. The third owner also noted a COA and 2014 Concours winning ribbon was provided to the fourth owner, these items are currently being retrieved. (It has been noted an undocumented service may have been performed by Pikes Peak Racing in early to mid 2016. Fully documented car in excellent condition. The 1989 Turbo is the same as the S package offered in 1988, but in the USA all the optional S items became standard for 1989. The ROW (rest of world) cars were still designated as an S in 1989.We bought this car from the second owner last year, who had owned it since 2000. The original owner resided in Virginia, and both of them serviced the car regularly and kept meticulous records. We have every receipt since new, including the original window sticker.We sold the car to a client in Massachusetts, who put about 500 miles on it, and decided he wanted a 911 Turbo, so we happily bought this car back.The car is all up to date on service, having received a new clutch and rear main seal in 2012, and a full service in 2011 (55,425 miles), including cam and balance belts, tensioners, a/d compressor, accessory belts, and fluids. We just had the belts re-tensioned at the same shop who did the major service, and who has been servicing the car since 2000.The car also has new Bridgestone Potenza RE11 tires all around, in the proper sizes.This is a clean, excellent condition example of an increasingly sought-after model. The front valence, hood, and fenders at one point were resprayed to address stone chips, but all factory VIN tags are in place on every panel - the car has never had any bodywork and all panels are original. The interior is fundamentally perfect with no bolster wear, no cracks in the dash, and minimal overall wear. The car is fundamentally stock with a few very minor variations, including a front Racing Dynamics strut tower brace, a later-year Porsche CDR-3 head unit, and an aftermarket replacement trunk cargo cover. The engine, suspension, exhaust, and brakes are all original and unmodified. The car is mechanically sound with no deferred maintenance and no immediate needs. All accessories, power options, and A/C function correctly. The production numbers of these 951S models are extremely low, with only 1,915 models entering the U.S. market. Compared to the earlier Turbos, the Turbo S models were boasting a larger turbo, more powerful engine with 250 hp, higher boost and reworked DME. They also came with an external oil cooler. These engines were hand built in Zuffenhausen, and bench tested for 30 minutes, before installation. The suspension, was no less the M-030 Sport suspension, with adjustable Sport Bilstein's, larger front and rear sway bars, and sport suspension bushings. The transaxle, was the race version 5-speed, with the M-220 40% locking differential, with its own oil cooler. Brakes were right off the 928 S-4, ventilated rotors with 4 piston calipers, and hooked up to the most advanced generation Bosch ABS. They also were built with a larger 63 amp/hr battery. This 1989 Turbo S is in pristine condition, with service records from day 1. Emanating its red glare, the original paint is absolutely gorgeous. All the rubber seals and trims are fresh, and there is not a ding or scratch anywhere on the paint. The black interior is gorgeous as well, with the leather seats still retaining their crisp appearance. All the electrical instruments and gadgets work, and the A/C blows cold as it has been recently fully recharged. Performance wise, this Turbo S is one of the best balanced high performance cars of its era. At full throttle, it’s an absolute rush mixed in with a satisfying feel of the whole car working. It sits firm on the road and corners with ease. The braking is solid and the car stops right on cue. There is no question that the 944 Turbo S is one of the best handling Porsches of all time! The production numbers of these 951S models are extremely low, with only 1,915 models entering the U.S. market. Compared to the earlier Turbos, the Turbo S models were boasting a larger turbo, more powerful engine with 250 hp, higher boost and reworked DME. They also came with an external oil cooler. These engines were hand built in Zuffenhausen, and bench tested for 30 minutes, before installation. The suspension, was no less the M-030 Sport suspension, with adjustable Sport Bilstein's, larger front and rear sway bars, and sport suspension bushings. The transaxle, was the race version 5-speed, with the M-220 40% locking differential, with its own oil cooler. Brakes were right off the 928 S-4, ventilated rotors with 4 piston calipers, and hooked up to the most advanced generation Bosch ABS. They also were built with a larger 63 amp/hr battery. This 1989 Turbo S is in pristine condition, with service records from day 1. Emanating its red glare, the original paint is absolutely gorgeous. This s a nice 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo otherwise known as the 951. The car has recently been repainted in the factory guards red color using high quality PPG paints and materials. The Porsche runs well and was intended to be a minor restoration project of my own. I have decided to move on and pass the car along to another 944 fan. The Porsche still has the factory original interior that is in good condition and comes equipped with the rare sport seat option. Seats are in fair shape and look presentable as does the rest of the interior.The dash is cracked in several places as most are and has a dash cover. There are services available now to repair these dash pads for a relatively good price which is what I had planned to have done. I have not done a timing belt service and have no record of when it was done last. Needless to say this was and is on the top of my list of maintenance items. The clutch has been replaced and should last many years. This is a major service on these cars much more expensive that the timing belt. Some noise in the front suspension is evident but it is tight and feels good. A squeak sound really not a rattle or loose sound. The exhaust has been cut at some point and an after market muffler is installed. Sounds fine not loud or obtrusive. The whole job could have been done better though as the exhaust is hung a bit tight to the bottom of the car and sometimes hits the chassis for a thump. Easily fixed item. Please as reasonable questions as I have been as honest as I could be about this car. I have owned several 944 models and know the cars well. This is a very good car with an excellent paint not a scratch. As stated still needs minor cosmetics and maintenance. I am not the original owner nor do I know the cars history. I purchsed it from a private party locally near my home in the Chicago suburbs. The car seems to have lead a fairly good life but as I said no records of maintenance. The car is currently in winter storage near my home and not being driven during the winter months. I have owned the car for less than 1 year I own several classic German cars this being one of them.

Clean stock cars such as this one are becoming hard to find in today's market.The 944 Turbo was Porsche's overachieving car of the 1980s. These cars are balanced perfectly from front to rear, and they have outstanding handling and braking. At 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, this car was just a tick behind the 911 Turbo in speed and acceleration, and with a few minor modifications, these cars can put out over 300hp with blistering acceleration times. The power these cars have will shock you- and unlike their air-cooled cousins, these cars are comfortable, predicable and easy to drive.I just took this car on a 600-mile fall trip to West Virginia and back. This car was a joy to drive though the winding mountain roads. Running a Porsche Turbo at full boost up a mountain road then rounding a hairpin turn to the next sweeping downhill turn is one of life's most exhilarating experiences- I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The paint on this car is original, and there is zero rust on the car. The body is straight and clean, and very presentable. At nearly 30 years old, the paint and body have held up well, with some minor stone nicks, chips,scratches, etc that have been brush-touched. The body panels are straight and in very good shape, with only very minor dings and marks. Overall the paint and body of this car look very presentable.The interior is in great condition. The leather seats are in very good shape with no rips or tears in the leather. The side bolsters aren't worn out, and the carpets and upholstery are clean and nice. The top edge of the dashboard has a few normal cracks, but the shift boot and steering wheel leather has held up nicely. The engine runs very well and the turbo boosts powerfully. The engine power comes on smoothly and strongly with very little lag. The clutch is strong and the transmission shifts well. The brakes are powerful and the car stops very well. The suspension is tight and compliant with no clunks or noises. The car doesn't overheat, it tracks straight and it is smooth, tight and powerful on the road. This is a reliable, great-driving car that is a lot of fun to drive.The tires have good tread remaining.This car is nearly 30 years old and it isn't perfect. Cons: The A/C compressor is noisy when it is operating. The system is currently discharged. The cruise control engages but doesn't hold a constant speed. The front foglight lenses are cracked/broken. 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo. Currently not running. A lot of time and money has been invested in this car, but I need to sell to pay medical bills for my daughter's last surgery. I wanted to finish the car and get it running right, but I work 50 to 60 hours a week, so I don't have the spare time, nor the money to finish the car. A lot of parts have been replaced on this car. Engine was replaced with turbo engine with 57k miles. Clutch has been replaced, so it is new and good to go. Radiator was replaced, turbocharger was replaced with a lower mileage one that was original to these Porsche 944 Turbos. Fuel pump, fuel filter have been replaced with new units. Wastegate, cycling valve have been replaced. Headgasket, and cam tower gasket were replaced too. Bosch DME computer and KLR computer were replaced too. Fuchs wheels have all matching center caps. The tires on the front are new Falken Tires, and tires on the back are in good shape with at least 80% tread remaining. Vaccuum lines are silicone Lindsay Racing vaccuum lines. DME relay is new. Relay for waterpump for the turbocharger is new along with a replacement waterpump for the turbocharger. Ignition coil is new too. Interior wise, there is currently no radio. I wanted to get the car mechanically sound before proceeding with interior work. Passenger side seat has some tears. Planned to take it to local upholstery shop to have seat repaired. The dash does have some slight cracks, but not bad. Sunroof does not open. I believe it is the motor. The relay that controls the sunroof works fine. I hope I have covered everything. Again, I do work long hours, so please be patient with response time. I will respond to questions, as soon as I can.

I've been driving this car around for a few weeks after getting it in trade, and fixed a few issues. It's a lot of fun, but I have too many vehicles and need to sell. Good stuff:-1987 944 Turbo (951) with a five speed transmission, ABS, clear title, and 156,000 miles.-Runs and drives really good, steering is straight and solid, brakes and clutch work well, transmission shifts smoothly.-New timing belts, head gasket, master and slave cylinders, starter solenoid, and fuel lines.-It has some mild modifications, like upgraded exhaust and suspension.-Wheels are in good condition and tires have some life left. 205/50/17 in the front, and 255/40/17 in the rear. I think the wheels came from a Boxster.-Has Lindsey Racing vacuum lines and Venturi delete hoses.-Most accessories work, including an old Blaupunkt radio, the LCD clock, the odometer, cruise control, heater, sunroof, and more.-Paint color is called Maraschino Red Metallic, and it looks more red in person. Interior is burgundy.-I have a fat three-ring binder full of receipts going back to 1992, and the maintenance booklet has dealer stamps up to 1992.Some issues:-Has typical dash cracks and torn seats, but the rest of the interior is pretty nice.-Will need brake pads and rotors, since the ones on it are getting worn out. Parts cost: around $250-$400-Clutch isn't new, although it still has some life remaining-Rear hatch is a little separated from the frame at the top and currently sealed with tape.-Airbag light is on.-There are a few little dings and issues with the paint, like an area chipping away on a fender and peeling clear coat on the roof.

This is an immaculate 944 turbo. I bought this car about 12 years ago with 9600 miles on it. As you can see I have driven it sparingly, never in the winter and have meticulously maintained it with Exotech in Plaistow, NH. When I purchased it I upgraded the wheels and tires to 968 style, and Exotech has chipped the computer, installed larger exhaust and sway bars. They also replaced the clutch in 2014, a 20hr job! I had the car repainted in 2014 due to fading issues after having it buffed several times. It was done as a restoration so as not to have any tape lines etc, they really did an amazing job. Any questions about any work done I will be happy to provide phone numbers of shops if you would like to make any inquiries. Recent repairs include replace fog lamps, new stereo and speakers, front brakes, and rear hatch glass disassembled and resealed and remounted. I have not checked the carfax history but will say that the front bumper cover has been replaced due to an elderly man changing lanes illegally tore it off and the rear bumper has been replaced due to a tractor trailer rubbing it when trying to make a turn while I was parked at a restaurant. No accidents with any sort of structural or body damage. Things that annoy me: I have had difficulty finding a rear wiper blade as the paint is chipping off the original and the cigarette lighter knob is fading although nothing else in the interior shows any sign of fading. I love this car and do not need the money, it is just time for a change so please only serious inquires only.
