Up for sale is my Porsche 944. I bought this car for the intention of tracking it and making it sp2 spec. I just can't find time to work on it and to clear some money up. When I first bought the car it had a oil and coolant issue. I tore the head off and got it checked for cracks along with the head gasket getting looked at and it came back fine. I never checked the oil cooler seal which is mostly the main cause with these cars. Also it may have been a bent valve as the balance shaft belt wast put on properly and had a rip. But I came across another engine for sale and I bought it. It's not assembled but it is all machined and ready to be put back together and put in. All of the work was done by Lindsey Racing. I have the recipe to show. The only thing that is needed is the main engine bearings and then the bell housing on the back but the bell housing could be used off the engine in the vehicle. So what you are getting is two engines. The original engine is still in the car and like I said it might be something small to fix I just saw the opportunity on this one and took it. So you also have a brand new machined engine still wrapped in the plastic properly stored in a climate control room. So with the machined engine it comes with all of the gaskets for the job victor reinz. Lindsey racing piston rings. A new timing belt and looks to be barely used balance shaft belt. It also has the fuel rails and injectors. It has the cold air intake assembly as well. I also have boxes and bins with 944 parts in them that will be included. With the interior I got it gutted right now to the bottom it just has some glue residue. I do have the original seats that will be included but have their rips in them. You will also get a set of cookie cutter wheels with the set of lug nuts for them. They are in good condition. I also have to front bumpers/valences the red one and one that I got with the car. It appeared that someone got flat black paint and didn't do a good job taping up but I was using paint remover and it was coming right off as seen on the mirrors and door panels. It was repainted to a single stage white. Originally was blue. Could see some blue here and there. Overall this a great candidate to make a track car or even throw interior back in and have it stock with a brand new engine that just has to be reassembled. So what you get is the 944, two engines, and two sets of wheels. I'm looking for $4500 but open to offers. Worst I can say is no. If there is any questions you could reach me at 570-877-2524

89 Porsche 944. Over 140,000 miles, can't be sure how many the odometer doesn't work. This is the NA with the more powerful 2.7l engine exclusive to this year and model. 5 speed manual. Ebay has informed me that this vehicle has a Rebuild record from 1996, however I have a clean green Michigan title for it in my name. This has been my daily driver for a few years. No problems even during the frigid winters we had in Michigan. Runs great, starts up every time, oil changed regularly. Transmission fluid changed with Redline (the good stuff). Dependable, and it's a lot of fun to drive. Interior is in pretty nice shape (7/10). Exterior has no visible rust. Only rust I can find is on the trunk where the lid meets the body, but it's very minimal surface rust. Has a small dent on driver's door, scratched window, and the drivers side mirror is a loose (some yahoo clipped it in a parking lot). The windscreen is also cracked, as is the bottom of the front bumper. Needs a rear wheel (wobble at highway speeds), and could probably do with shocks in the near future. One quirk is that the radiator fans stay on sometimes running down the battery. I've been taking out the fuses, but a new thermoswitch should fix that, it's a cheap part. Fresh Inspection (good till 5/16), Automatic Transmission, Power Window, Power mirrors, Power Driver seat, Sunroof, needs nothing mechanically. Car was well taken care of, general maintenance always done on time. New door seals (on frame, not door), good tires, good brakes, Paint seems typical of the year, looks good with minor fading on the hood. Some nicks, scratches, chips here and their. Some surface cracks here and there. Runs fine, I would trust driving this anywhere. The bad: Sunroof doesn't always work, I think the track/gear needs to be replaced. Parts are cheap and probably does not take long. Sunroof can be removed without too much issue (as you can manually move and remove it) comes with the storage bag in the trunk. Front Seats have some tears in the bottom cushion. See photos. A/C stopped working. Shop says it needs more R12 but since I plan on selling it, I did not want to pay for it. I purchased the car in March 2010 with 99,488 miles. At the time I was working as a mechanic and was able to put a lot of work into the car . In the summer of 2010, I moved to New York City to take a job there. Since the summer of 2010, I have been living out of state and the car has been living in the Philadelphia suburbs at my parent’s house. During this time it has either been under a car cover or in a garage. I have not driven the car much since moving to New York City although I drive and wash it several times a year when I’m home.The car is in good condition. I've written out a summary below. I've loved owning the car, driving the car and working on the car. It's bittersweet for me to sell my 944, and I'm hoping it finds a home with someone who appreciates it as much as I have. What works well:Car runs well with no unusual vibrations and no leaks. Shifts and handles well.Engine runs at correct temperature. No dashboard lights illuminated, Body is overall in good shape.Areas for improvement:Ding in panel between hood and front bumper. (Paint not cracked so could be fixed with paintless dent removal.)Paint is in good shape but could use buffing. (Exception: Some bubbling of paint underneath the clear-coat on the removable sunroof.)Some wear on interior. Dash contains some cracks. Driver seat has small tears. One of seat recline levers for passenger seat is broken. I also thought it would be helpful to lay out some of the work I've done to the car since owning it:Replaced timing belt and water pump. I did not know when this repair was last done so wanted to be proactive.Replaced clutch, clutch master cylinder and transmission mount. Had body of car painted. Replaced many of the rubber parts and gaskets at this time. Replaced Porsche badge and decals.Replaced muffler with proper one for car (prior owner had loud muffler installed).Replaced tires. Painted wheels. There are some extras that I'll give to whomever purchases the car. Most of these are things that came from the previous owner.Dash cover.Extra set of four wheels and tires.Extra dash and instrument cluster.Assorted parts (trunk latches, floor mats, etc.) Other:Prior owner lives in CT and had purchased car in 2005 with 92,252 miles.Does not have original radio. Was replaced before my ownership with CD-player plus AM/FM radio. The car is Malven Red, paint code is LY3E.The car was inspected in early June. Brakes and tires have majority of wear left.

Extremely rare 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet in very good condition. The car has no mechanical or engine problems whatsoever. It has always been well maintained with the proper check ups, oil changes etc. All electrical components work properly (seats, windows, convertible top) with the exception that the passenger side window can't be controlled by the driver's side switch. It does work however from the passenger side. The AC blows "cool" air. A brand new AC Compressor was installed in 2013. It likely just needs to be charged to make it blow cold. The heater is perfect. There are two minor items to be mentioned. The window adjustment switch on the console works fine, but it's pressed in (see photo). It's a pretty simple fix. The driver's side window leaks a little at the top if you're using a power washer directly on it. A new or used seal would take care of the leak. The car comes with a brand new Bosch fuel pump in the box, a new driver's side seat switch, and car cover in excellent condition. The Owner's Manual, convertible top unlock / lock bars, radio passcode, and any other relevant information about the car will be included. It's important to note PLEASE USE FULL SYNTHETIC OIL ONLY.
