PARTS CAR Model: Early 1985 Porsche 944 Standard (Non Turbo) VIN: WP0AA0947FN473123 NOTE: Please Read Entire Description Before Asking Questions. This car is represented as a parts car only. It is offered complete at this time. I do not have time to part it out before next spring. The motor was damaged when a belt tensioner failed and went off timing. It will require major repair or replace. No compression in one cylinder, the others don't hold the pressure. It has been sitting in a garage for a few years. Everything was working at one time. Motors for windows, sun roof, hatch lock, antenna, fan, wind shield wipers all work. Head lights do not rotate, hatch wiper motor is damaged. Interior is still good except for a split in passenger seat. New tires mounted, mfg. date: DOT 4607 (Mid Nov 2007.) They have about 200 miles wear. Brakes were all replaced. Body work was done and painted. Have an interior dash cover replacement, not installed, could go into another car. The radio is original (Blaupunkt Model Austin CR45) and plays loud and clear. Almost all of the small, hard to find pieces were replaced. Plus, there are some extra spare parts. The asking price is a low estimate of the value of the parts if I have to sell them off individually and scrap the car. Low ball offers will not be considered. It will only be available as a complete package until 14Dec2015. I have the six volume set workshop manual, printed in Germany in 1989, English version (1706 pages of everything you need to know about the 944), also, a 284 page parts catalog with every part, part number and placement diagram, all on CD. Included is the Haynes repair manual for the Porsche 944, 1983-1989 models. Also, a photocopy of the original owner's manual. I have the actual manual but it had serious water damage and was separated, dried and copied. This is an immaculate 944 turbo. I bought this car about 12 years ago with 9600 miles on it. As you can see I have driven it sparingly, never in the winter and have meticulously maintained it with Exotech in Plaistow, NH. When I purchased it I upgraded the wheels and tires to 968 style, and Exotech has chipped the computer, installed larger exhaust and sway bars. They also replaced the clutch in 2014, a 20hr job! I had the car repainted in 2014 due to fading issues after having it buffed several times. It was done as a restoration so as not to have any tape lines etc, they really did an amazing job. Any questions about any work done I will be happy to provide phone numbers of shops if you would like to make any inquiries. Recent repairs include replace fog lamps, new stereo and speakers, front brakes, and rear hatch glass disassembled and resealed and remounted. I have not checked the carfax history but will say that the front bumper cover has been replaced due to an elderly man changing lanes illegally tore it off and the rear bumper has been replaced due to a tractor trailer rubbing it when trying to make a turn while I was parked at a restaurant. No accidents with any sort of structural or body damage. Things that annoy me: I have had difficulty finding a rear wiper blade as the paint is chipping off the original and the cigarette lighter knob is fading although nothing else in the interior shows any sign of fading. I love this car and do not need the money, it is just time for a change so please only serious inquires only.

I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. “I’m putting my money where my mouth is” I’m just a 38 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz. This 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo was purchased new by Michael Williams at DeAnza Porsche/Audi located in Riverside California. It was sold by Frank Hartshorn on 07-12-1986 as the original business card and warranty voucher indicate. Michael actually bought the car on a whim and surprised his wife when he came home. This vehicle was strictly purchased as a second vehicle which was always babied and garaged. It only has 43,000 original miles which is only 1,500 miles per year. It’s hard to believe this car is almost 30 years old! This car spent its entire life in California so it wasn’t susceptible to bad weather. It was also garaged which makes it even better. It doesn’t have any rust as all the photos indicate! The exterior of this car is in overall great condition for an original 29 year old automobile. Like most older vehicles the body does have some imperfections. Some examples would be it has a few small door dings, slight crease in the front bumper and on the passenger front fender. Even my 2013 car has a few imperfections already. This car has never been in an accident as the Car Fax report documents. The Alpine White paint was been completely compounded, buffed and polished to a beautiful shine. This is a beautiful color on a 944 especially with the black accents. It does have a few small chips and a minor scuff on the rear bumper. All the exterior trim such as the rubber seals, spoiler, lights and emblems are in outstanding condition! When Michael purchased the car it had the 16” BBS wheels you see in the photos. The original factory wheels were removed from the dealer and replaced with these as an upgrade to give the car more character which they do. The wheels are in excellent condition. They currently have Yokohama S306 tires that are 205/55/16 on the front and 225/50/16 on the rear. The tires are in great condition! The tan interior compliments the white exterior perfectly. This interior is as good as it gets for a 29 year old car. The original owner told me the interior still smells new and it sure does. I’ve seen many Porsche 944’s advertised for sale and I haven’t seen one with an interior as clean as this one. This car also has a tan interior which shows wear and tear more easily. I’m really lost from words describing this interior and will let the photos do the talking. All I can say is its like sitting in the car when it was a few months old. There are no signs of fading or anything of that nature. Even the seat bolsters are beautiful. MS CLASSIC CARS completely steam cleaned everything. The undercarriage of this car is also absolutely stunning. Once again it’s very obvious that that this car wasn’t exposed to bad climates. I’m wondering if it was ever even driven in the rain. These cars had factory undercoating that has a yellow tint to it and most of it is still there. It also retains all the factory stickers and paint spots. The floors are free of any damage. Some of the factory options for this car include a catalytic converter and front and rear sport shocks. How many Porsche 944 Turbo’s have you seen with an undercarriage that looks this nice? Actually, how many sellers even post undercarriage photos? Make sure to ask them if you’re looking at one. I’ll promise you 99% of them don’t look like this.
