In the very near future this will be one of those cars that you wish that you bought now when you had the chance while the prices are still low…… This 1991 928 GT is number 138 out of approximately 150 GTs produced for the 1991 U.S. market. The 928 GT is one of the rarest and most collectable 928s there is. Value of these cars is already moving upward strongly as compared to other 928s. Just like what happen in the 911 market a few years ago, you can expect the values of the rarest 928s to do the same. With a total of 133,000 miles on the speedo this 928 GT has been driven regularly but only 15,000 miles in the last 9 years. In 2006 at 118,378 miles it had a major service performed, which is documented in this cars fairly complete history folder. At this time the timing belt, all rollers, water pump, crank and cam seals, oil pump drive gear, cam cover gaskets and numerous other components were serviced/replaced. The car has no leaks, runs and drives perfectly other than the differential/antiloc warning light is on which could be a very simple problem, but has not been diagnosed. At 132,331 miles on 6-17-13 the air-conditioning was repaired and converted to 134A and is blowing cold now. Numerous other repairs/maintenance have been made to car over its history and are reflected in the history folder that comes with this car. Its very obvious from its appearance and operation that maintenance on this car was never neglected. The under chassis shields are in place on the car. The fresh new tan leather interior is gorgeous and so impressive on a black car…..this is an expensive improvement and adds great value to the car. As you can see in the interior pic of the rear cargo area, the spare tire cover is missing as is the rear carpet/mat. The dash has one small crack that could be carefully repaired also shown in the pics. And as mentioned previously above the differential antilock brake warning light is on. The value of this car is in its rarity and its potential for upward price movement. Keep it, enjoy it and do nothing but maintain it and it will go up in value. Or invest in it by making a restoration project out of it and watch it be worth even more now and even more still as the market moves upward.
