In the very near future this will be one of those cars that you wish that you bought now when you had the chance while the prices are still low…… This 1991 928 GT is number 138 out of approximately 150 GTs produced for the 1991 U.S. market. The 928 GT is one of the rarest and most collectable 928s there is. Value of these cars is already moving upward strongly as compared to other 928s. Just like what happen in the 911 market a few years ago, you can expect the values of the rarest 928s to do the same. With a total of 133,000 miles on the speedo this 928 GT has been driven regularly but only 15,000 miles in the last 9 years. In 2006 at 118,378 miles it had a major service performed, which is documented in this cars fairly complete history folder. At this time the timing belt, all rollers, water pump, crank and cam seals, oil pump drive gear, cam cover gaskets and numerous other components were serviced/replaced. The car has no leaks, runs and drives perfectly other than the differential/antiloc warning light is on which could be a very simple problem, but has not been diagnosed. At 132,331 miles on 6-17-13 the air-conditioning was repaired and converted to 134A and is blowing cold now. Numerous other repairs/maintenance have been made to car over its history and are reflected in the history folder that comes with this car. Its very obvious from its appearance and operation that maintenance on this car was never neglected. The under chassis shields are in place on the car. The fresh new tan leather interior is gorgeous and so impressive on a black car…..this is an expensive improvement and adds great value to the car. As you can see in the interior pic of the rear cargo area, the spare tire cover is missing as is the rear carpet/mat. The dash has one small crack that could be carefully repaired also shown in the pics. And as mentioned previously above the differential antilock brake warning light is on. And also be warned that it is very very easy to drop $5K to $10K and more in parts and labor within a few years of owning an older well used high mileage 928 of any year model. This 1985 928S 5 speed manual trans car is a truly mint condition car both cosmetically and mechanically. It is a two owner car ( first owner for 25 yrs and second owner 5 years). Includes all books, maintenance records from day one! Car is completely original with absolutely no modifications, all original stickers/decals on doors/engine bay/gas filler door. Ordered from Porsche with spoiler delete, limited slip and wider rear wheels, special order Prussian Blue paint. There are no dings or scratches anywhere on the car. The paint is bright with deep clear coat and original factory orange peel on all panels with exception of the front bumper that was repainted by the original owner for stone chips. Immaculate unmolested engine/engine compartment with all original stickers. The full black leather interior is immaculate. The leather is supple with no cracking or leather hardening on the seats, bolsters, door panels, no water damage. Even the seat bolster on the drivers seat has only very slight seat belt wear only. The carpet is excellent. The backing on the underside of the floor matting is failing slightly from age. The dash leather has slight shrinkage of about a 1/4 inch around the passenger dash vent, it lays flat and noticeable only on close inspection. There is minor separation of interior material on the right rear quarter panel. All books and maintenance records since day one! Cambelt replaced at 28,112 miles and retensioned in 2012. 2010 repairs…Replaced original Boge strut/shocks with same OEM 1986 Boge updated gas shock/struts. Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter and Y connector for recirculating fuel vapor. 2011 repairs…Amsoil full synthetic 15w40 oil and filter changed every 3,000 miles. Replaced clutch slave cylinder, clutch arm nylon socket, replaced transmission fluid with amsoil synthetic ATF 2012 repairs…Replaced engine motor mounts. Replaced steering bushings. Cambelt tensioned 2013 repairs…New Bridgestone S-02 tires in april 2013, now with around a 1000 miles on them. This car is an all original condition Investment Grade Car that FEW can compare. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS MOST WELCOME………...I have been a 928 enthusiast since 1978 and this 1989 928 S4 was my car from 2004 to 2009. I own a Porsche repair shop for the last 30 yrs. I purchased this car in 2004 with a dropped camshaft timing belt. I fell in love with the look and condition of the car and decided to repair it to the max and keep it as my personal car. Making that decision, I spared no expense, removing the cylinder heads to inspect pistons and cylinders for any damage and they were found to be perfect and so the mechanical restoration began. 1. Cylinder heads received complete valve job, valve guides/seals, resurfacing, light porting of exhaust ports and polished combustion chambers. All gaskets and seals replaced with the latest greatest version. 2.In the process all electrical sensors were replaced with new OE Porsche pieces. All new fuel injectors OE, fuel pressure dampeners and regulator, fuel lines and vacuum lines, etc. 3.Intake manifold and cam covers disassembled, stripped and powder coated. 4. Replacement of both camshaft chains and tensioners, cam belt, all cam belt sprockets, rollers and water pump. 5.Replacement of distributor caps, rotors, sparkplugs, both ignition modules, and high performance spark plug wires. 6.All new hoses, belts, radiator, NEW Porsche AC compressor, expansion valve and hoses to compressor (converted to 134 freon) 7.Amsoil synthetic oil, lube, ATF used throughout car, silver ceramic coated MSDS headers with X-pipe and high flow cats. 8.Both parking/fog light assemblies replaced with new assemblies which are now no longer available! 9.Front wheel bearings/seals replaced and Amsoil synthetic lube used. 10.All plastic inner fenders replaced with NEW ones on both front wheels. 11.Both under engine shields replaced with NEW OE Porsche ones, the metal shield is now no longer available. 12.Total CV rear axle rebuild with new CV joints, boots, flanges. The axles themselves I had black powder coated. 13 Fuel pumps replaced with new factory Porsche OE, new fuel lines, filter and the metal shield under the fuel pump/filter assembly I had black powder coated. 14.Mirrors and clock upgraded to GTS mirrors and clock(these were new pieces not used) Pricey Improvements that make big visual impact!! 15.New roof radio antenna 16.Transmission and torgue converter drained and filled with Amsoil synthetic ATF, new seal and filter, transmission pan black powder coated. 17.Rebuilt steering rack installed 18. New Tires 19.Great AC 20.New radio In the process of all these repairs, care was given to clean up and improve the area being worked on to make it look new as well. I have probably left out a lot of other things, parts and pieces that were done, but you get the idea of what has gone into this car and how its been cared for.
