Many hours and money has been invested in this exceptional build. It's quite unique to find one of this stature with full functioning features. These were molded after real Porsche parts that were sent out to construct them. The 356 replica drives incredibly nice, and is hard to differ from the real one. It is not your average vw chassis (rear pan), but a tubular chassis. Equipped with Front disc brakes. Has a performance 1904cc engine with big bore stroker. Big bored of 90.5mm and 74 Stroker crank. Dual 44 Webber carburetors with dual intake ports, all matted to a manual transmission. Dual exhaust system. Beige Interior is splendid! Fitted with sport seats, stainless steal steering column with aluminum cover and Banjo steering wheel. Nice set of racing pedals, and aluminum functioning air vents. Pioneer sound system with speakers and Ipod plug in. Has working windshield wipers! Custom interior lighting, so when you open the doors the interior lights up. All new chrome miscellaneous pieces through out the interior. Car also has the Lietz luggage rack, which is very hard to find. Car is titled as a 1968 VW which means it’s considered a “classic car” and smog exempt. The Body is straight as an arrow. All doors, hood are all aligned like they should. Battery kit mounted in the front. All the chrome are in great shape I encourage to take a look at all the detailed pictures. I have numerous paperwork on it including builds on electrical, drivetrain, etc... Incredible amount of attention, and detail as been placed in this car. Wherever I take this car, people always ask questions about it, and even take their pictures in front of it! It’s definitely a head-turner, with a “one of a kind” feel. Titled as a 1969 VW from its donor floor pan, the car has just under 7500 miles on it, with less than 650 miles on the new motor!Hand built by Vintage Speedsters in 2007, this low mileage, one owner, Porsche 356 Flared Fender Replica runs as great as it looks! The engine, transaxle, fuel system (with an electric, NOT mechanical, fuel pump) and exhaust have all been upgraded from the “factory equipment” to its present day configuration.The 2.4L high performance motor was assembled, built and tuned by Aaron at Bob Hindson Racing in Kansas City, MO. The close ratio 3.88 transaxle was assembled and built by Mark at Strictly Foreign in Grants Pass, OR. The turbocharger, fuel system (fed with a Holley 500cfm carb) and exhaust were all custom fit by A. J. Sims in Orange, CA. Its sporty trailing arm suspension and Nexen tires, grab the road with low profile 225/45ZR17’s in front and 255/40ZR17’s in back, nearly a foot wide! And the wheels are 5 bolt polished aluminum.This 356 has front disc/rear drum brakes. The stock oil filter has been replaced with a canister mounted MOBIL ONE filter that sits tucked away behind the driver’s side rear tire. Behind the passenger side rear tire sits the thermostatically controlled external oil cooler. And in your hands as you drive is a genuine Nardi wood steering wheel.The Black paint is in great condition with very minor normal use wear. The car has never been wrecked or had any repair work done to its fiberglass body. The tan top is in perfect condition (and comes with side curtains) should you ever decide to drive with it up!The interior is a tan leatherette, and it has an original style Speedster Gauge set up with Reproduction VDO Gauges, and a detachable faced AM/FM CD Stereo. And the perfect fitting coconut front floor mats will keep the carpet protected for years to come!
