This car is gorgeous and reasonably priced. This car is a true, Y-82, W-72 Bandit as documented by PHS. It does not retain its original matching numbers engine but it does have a Pontiac 400, 4-Speed block and is in great shape. This car drives great and has a functional shaker scoop. We have never seen that on a 77 Trans Am but it works and looks cool when you punch the accelerator. The car runs strong and will easily smoke the tires but drives very nicely down the road if you are taking out for a weekend cruise. Want to use it as your daily driver? The factory air conditioning cools very nicely and the car does not overheat. Even in the 100F+ temperatures we have been having here in Houston, Texas. I took this car out for several drives of 20 miles or more and the car performed very well. I stayed very cool with the windows rolled up. Also, the aftermarket sound system plays very nicely as well. This car is a great daily driver and can be taken to any car show where you will be proud to show it off. The car is not perfect but the car is in very good condition. The car is solid with no major rust issues anywhere to be found. We would probably repaint the rear bumper if we keep it for the longer term and the T-tops are not in perfect shape but they are original to the car. The interior is in very good restored condition. The dash is in excellent shape with no cracks that we have seen anywhere on it. There are just too many great things to say about this car that I am sure we left something out. This car is numbers matching and still retains its original engine and transmission. The seats are original and still in great shape. The carpet, headliner and package tray have been replaced. The car is an original Brewster Green 455 car as verified by PHS and as shown on the cowl tag. Code 48. The car was purchased from the original owner out of Eugene, Oregon and the car is still titled in the original owners name. The miles are believed to be actual miles and show just under 32000 original miles on the odometer. There are many receipts documenting the maintenance work done to the car over the years and showing the mileage. According to the paperwork and receipts, the car was repainted in 1994. The car had the graphics painted on the hood but that painted, hood decal was removed and a correct, new bird from Phoenix Graphics was installed on the hood this year. The car comes with its original owners manuals showing the original owner and all of the paperwork and title show the original owners name on it. The car came to us with lowered springs in the front and lowering blocks on the rear leaf springs. We felt the car was too low so we replaced the front springs with correct, springs for the car. We can leave the car in the normal position or can lower the car back down in the front since we kept the lowered springs. Your choice. We are more "Trans Am Purists" here at Carlyle Motors but everyones taste is different. The undercarriage is still original and had a light undercoating installed back when new but the original, red oxide primer can still be seen in various places under the car. The car apparently was lowered and had side pipes at one time in its life but now there is just a correct, dual exhaust on the car. It sounds great and drives great and best of all, it is a numbers matching, Brewster Green 455 and has had only 1 owner since new. Since it is a West Coast car, there are no signs of visible rust on the car and it is very solid and the paint is still in very, very good shape.
