First of all, NH is a non-title state after 15 years so this car will be sold with a bill of sale only. The story behind this car is it is a true survivor because the car has never been painted, the interior is original and the engine has never been worked on except for misc maintenance. I bought this from the son of the woman who bought it originally. It has been in her garage since 1968. The car has minor rust on the bottom of the front fenders which has just barely shown itself and maybe a tiny bit of rust behind the stainless moldings on the lower rear of the car. The frame is solid but with signs of light rusting and the trunk is unbelievable, still showing the wonderful splatter paint. The car has approx. 51,000 original miles. It has power steering, power antenna, hide-away headlights, his and her shifter and power top. Those are the only options. The interior is fantastic, possibly the carpets have been re-dyed but they do not feel stiff. The backs of the seats have sun damage but these are plastic parts and they could be lightly scuffed and re-dyed. The convertible top is the original one and has one small wear spot on the rear passenger corner. When I got the car, it had been sitting since 2005 so I went through the brake and ignition systems and got it going within 2 hours. I've taken it for a few short rides and it seems to run great although it's burning nine year old gas and the tires are so rock hard, they have flat spots in them. The tires are bias ply and they look like they could be the 2nd or 3rd set that has ever been on the car so these will have to be changed in order to get a smooth ride. Also, the son of the owner gave me the original air cleaner and original valve covers for the car. His mother must have gone to K-Mart in the 70's and bought the dress-up kit that's on the engine now. The son also gave me the original paperwork including the Protecto plate. I hope I've described the car honestly and if you have any questions, please give me a call (603-234-6798 Dave) or email me.
