1970 Pontiac GTO Hardtop                             Very well kept, one family owned from brand new! Specially ordered with all the exact options they wanted.  Fitted with air conditioning, variable-ratio power steering, power disc brakes, automatic transmission, and more!  Only 60,000 original miles and 100% numbers matching!   The muscle car market was already starting to feel the pressure of raising fuel and insurance costs, so sales were started to decline. At Pontiac, the GTO continued to lead the way for the performance savvy buyer.  New for 1970 would be the refresh to the front end highlighting the four individual headlamps, still wrapped inside the Endura urethane bumper.   New stiffer front and added rear sway bars enhanced the cornering capabilities, along with new variable-ratio power steering giving further ease to steering along with a shorter turning radius.  Engine options continued with high horsepower output, and options remained abundant to personalize your GTO anyway you preferred! We are proud to have this one family owned 1970 Pontiac GTO Hardtop on our showroom. It is finished in its factory appointed color of Polar White (10) with Dark Gold Cordova top (H) and Brown upholstery (253).  Under the hood lies the factory original, number’s matching 400ci V8 producing 350 horsepower and column-shifted Turbo-Hydramatic transmission, mated to an economy 3.23 axle ratio.  All of which have traveled just 60,492 actual miles!  Options on this special GTO include air conditioning, power front disc brakes, variable-ratio power steering, all Soft-Ray window glass, AM radio with windshield antenna, 14” Rally II wheels with raised white letter tires, tilt column, and front floor mats! A remarkable example that has always been garage kept from new, after being purchased from Thoms Pontiac, Inc here in St. Louis, MO. It has received only one repaint over the years.  More recently, the car was treated to a complete mechanical freshening that included all new fuel tank, tank straps & isolators, fuel sending unit, fuel filter, all new shocks, new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires, all new engine fluids, replacement radiator hoses & clamps, new alternator & battery, and rebuilt & charged a/c system.  It starts perfectly easy, idles wicked smooth, shifts without hesitation, brakes dead straight, and simply runs excellent!  Very impressive in every respect with everything fully functional!  It will come with owner’s manual, PHS documentation, and all tire changing equipment fitted in the trunk with new mat and spare tire cover.  Please feel free to call with additional questions or to schedule a chance to review this unique GTO in person. 1965 Pontiac Lemans GTO Convertible                             Beautifully restored convertible to include all the options you could want!  A factory Tri-power convertible from new, this car now features a host of original & added equipment that include correct Hurst-cast 14? polished mags, 4-speed Muncie transmission, air conditioning, power brakes, power steering, power top, rally gauges, deluxe steering wheel, tilt column, and more!! Finished in triple black color combination, Royal Bobcat enhancements, and Firestone redlines!  Wow!! Significant changes to the 1965 Pontiac GTO included the famous stacked headlights, simulated hood scoops (could be made functional), slightly longer body, better breathing engine that produced more horsepower, improved brakes, and stiffer suspension! This paved the way for several more successful years, and Pontiac development designated the GTO its own model series by 1966. We are delighted to offer this 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible finished in gorgeous Starlight Black with Black interior and matching Black convertible top! It’s heavily optioned with features that start with a 389ci Tri-Power Ram Air V8 engine mated with a Muncie M20 4-speed transmission! Additional accessories include air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, center console, Rally gauges with dash tachometer, original Hurst 14” polished wheels wrapped in Firestone Super Sport Wide Oval Redline tires redline tires measuring 7.70-14, deluxe seatbelts, remote drivers mirror, interior courtesy lights, passenger vanity mirror, rear back-up lights, windshield washer with dual speed wipers, tilt steering column with deluxe faux wood steering wheel, foot pedal trim, and push-button Delco AM radio! This body and chassis on this wonderfully restored example are exceptional! It did start life with a 389ci Tri-power carbureted engine but with an automatic transmission. It was later fitted with a 1967 date-coded 1967 4-speed Muncie transmission. To ensure proper coding, this engine is a correct 1965 WS-code engine bearing the block casting 9778789 along with “77” heads, correct intake fitted with proper Rochester carbs with identification tags along with functional Ram Air pan! Credit for the engine overhaul goes to Carr Craft Automotive based in Kalamazoo, MI. Using only high grade components from Kenny Butler Racing and Venolia, this engine features a hardened steel crankshaft, forged aluminum connecting rods and 7/16” H-11 steel rod bolts, performance camshaft, roller rockers, ported-polished-matched heads, all fully balanced and blueprinted, all while maintaining the original Pontiac cast, visual components! It is nicely dressed with a chrome air cleaner & valve covers, GM tower clamps, inspection markings, Delco-Remy charging components, and more! Onlookers with be hard-pressed to discover anything amiss under this hood. The transmission was fully rebuilt by Webb’s Transmission Service in Cedar Rapids, IA. The power flows through a newer Flowmaster 2.5” exhaust system with chrome quad exhaust splitters to a rear end axle set up with 3.73 Safe-T-Track gearing! History of the car does include some past history in California before an Oklahoma owner took possession in the 1980’s. It was restored there and sold to its most recent owner who purchased it in September 1991 and stayed with him ever since. It has been garage kept for his 25 years of ownership and remains wonderfully rust free from a pampered lifestyle! According to a past story of this special GTO, it was treated early on to the Royal Bobcat performance upgrades by Ace Wilson’s shop based at Royal Oak Pontiac in Pontiac, MI. This story may have some actual validity considering the dealer zone ID when ordered new was 3533 representing an original Michigan dealership. Sadly, none of it can be confirmed today as we could not find a list of dealer codes from 1965, and the Royal Oak firm was said to have closed its doors in the 1980’s. Our restored example continues to wear Ace Wilson Bobcat plate frames and stickers on the quarter glass & trunk lid in hopeful honor of this past heritage. It continues to represent itself beautifully in all respects as an honest original GTO, and drives down the road exactly the same! Considering the true age of the restoration, it is remarkable! The rear trunk compartment is just as detailed with floor mat, spar tire, jack and tire changing tools. It will come with original PHS documentation realizing this car is now impressively upgraded with some non-original, but highly desired equipment.   Service history, title documentation, Please call with any additional questions or requests for extra information. We appreciate your interest and thank you in advance for your business! You are bidding on a 1971 Pontiac GTO. Clean and clear title in my name. Car needs a total restoration or use for parts. Car was an original 4 spd car with air conditioning. 1 of 2011 made. Previous owner attempted to "fix" floorpans by adding additional metal on top of the floors, so the car will need all floor pans. He also covered up the 4 spd hump to make it an automatic. Car still retains the original 4 spd pedals. Car does not have a engine or trans. It is also missing the hood and front valance. Front and rear bumpers are present. Fenders are usable and inner braces are intact. Doors need work and the trunklid is rusted out on the under side. I believe the original rearend is still in the car (3.23 open) and has boxed lower control arms and rear sway bar. Drum brakes up front. Quarter panels have the typical rust. It has a set of 4 Chevy Camaro Berlinetta 14" wheels. Interior: Front bucket seats out of a Camaro? Rear seat and armrests are present and appear to be good. Dash pad is cracked. The Pontiac GTO is an automobile that was built by Pontiac from 1964 to 1974. The first generation GTO was a muscle car of the 1960s and 1970s era. Although there were earlier muscle cars, the Pontiac GTO is considered by some to have started the trend with all four domestic automakers offering a variety of competing models. General Motors redesigned its A-body line for 1968, with more curvaceous, semi-fastback styling. Pontiac abandoned the familiar vertically stacked headlights in favor of a horizontal layout, but made hidden headlights available at extra cost. The concealed headlights were a popular option. The signature hood scoop was replaced by dual scoops on either side of a prominent hood bulge extending rearward from the protruding nose. A unique feature was the body-color Endura front bumper. It was designed to absorb impact without permanent deformation at low speeds. he 1968 model year was also the last year the GTOs offered separate crank operated front door vents. another feature was concealed windshield wipers, hidden below the rear edge of the hood. They presented a cleaner appearance. Another popular option, actually introduced during the 1967 model year, was a hood-mounted tachometer, located in front of the windshield and lit for visibility at night. The GTO was selected Motor trend Car of the Year in 1968. This extremely good looking and well equipped GTO, defies showing it’s age! This fine example comes equipped with a Aluminum intake Edelbrock 4 barrel, (1965 YC code) 389 cid V8 engine,Turbo Hydro-matic automatic transmission, his and hers Hurst shifter, power steering power brakes, air conditioning, tilt steering wheel, center console, Rally gauge cluster with clock, Safe-T-Track Rear axle, retractable headlights, hood mounted tachometer, Rally II wheels with 14? Car has been in the family since it was brand new. Its pretty rare in the fact that my grandmother special ordered the car with a column shifted automatic transmission and factory bucket seats. This option was not originally offered standard. The carburetor was rebuilt about seven years ago by Mr Carburetor, the brake system (lines, hardware, pads and shoes) was also replaced at that time. Only used OEM parts always. I also recently had it cleaned up and replaced the entire exhaust system from the manifold back. My father still owns the car, and out of sentimental concerns, has asked me to sell it for him. Sorry, we're not interested in any trades or finance options. She is definitely a head turner.

The car underwent a full frame off rotisserie restoration in 2014 and is fully restored and ready to enjoy. The GTO was an excellent candidate for restoration and still has its original floorboards intact with all of its factory spot welds and no patch panels. The car was stripped down to bare metal and was refinished in its original Candlelite Cream hue. All of the trim has been restored or refinished and the chrome has all been replaced as well. The undercarriage is immaculate and detailed to the nines complete with a media blasted and refinished frame, GM satin black floor boards and detailed and refinished suspension components.  The engine is a NOM 389 with the 4bbl carb. It is date code correct for the car and was rebuilt during the restoration. It provides wonderful and reliable power for the car and has no trouble blowing the tires loose if you desire. The transmission is a Turbo 350 from Summit Racing and the rear end is the correct 3.23 Safe T track set up. The car starts right up and runs great both around town and out on the highway. The 3.23 gearing is a good combination for around town performance and highway cruising, and the car does great cruising between 70 and 75 MPH. It maintains a steady 180 to 190 degree water temp and does not warm up in stop and go traffic.  The interior has been completely replaced with all new OPGI parts. The wood on the front of the dash is new as well and the gauges have been rebuilt and are in good working order. The top was also replaced during the restoration and is in mint condition. The factory console is in place as well with the factory correct shifter handle. In the trunk is a full spare with correct jack.  The suspension was completely rebuilt from front to rear and has new ball joints, tie rods, a arm bushings, rebuilt steering linkage and a rebuilt steering box. The car rides very well and the GTO  is as tight as they ever were when these cars were new. It benefits from a set of new radial tires riding on brand new wheels. It also has power front disc/rear drum brakes and the steering is power which make cruising the car a breeze.  Options: Radio - Pushbutton and manual antenna Seat Belts, Custom Clock, Electric Deluxe Wheel Discs Console Power steering Power brakes Soft Ray glass Automatic transmision 389 4bbl 3.23 Safety Track Candlelite Cream Black interior White top (now black) For the Pontiac enthusiast looking for a really nice GTO, this convertible makes it happen.  VIN: 242676P284408 Year: 1966 Make: Pontiac Model: GTO Engine: 389.00 CI V8 Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic Color: Yellow over Black Odometer Reading: 12 Financing and warranty options are available.  Please call us directly to acquire shipping bids, to answer any questions about this automobile, or to secure this special car for yourself. You are bidding on an extremely nice, highly detailed 1970 Pontiac GTO. I am listing this car for some close personal friends who have owned this car since July 2005. At the time of purchase this was a freshly restored GTO with rebuilt engine, rebuilt transmission, fresh show quality paint job, and a completely new interior. Since that time my friends have invested over $13,000 to take this GTO to the next level. I have over 100 documented invoices for this car in my possession with the majority of them from Ames Performance, The Paddock, Performance Years, and Year One... all of these are the highest quality Pontiac parts suppliers. The Body: This GTO is a documented California delivery with a rust free body. The Atoll Blue paint was finished in Dupont Chromabase B9808K Alt 1 and Dupont Premier Clear in the summer of 2005. The body lines are excellent and the fit and finish is superb. The chrome and bright trim is excellent and both the exterior mirror and rear bumper were replated. The only flaw in the exterior is some minor stress cracks in the front rubber bumper right at the hood line. I have detail photos of this cracking but did not include them. I did not want to give up one of my 24 images for such a small issue. Contact me for additional images. The Engine:The 400 Cubic Inch Pontiac V8 is original and was rebuilt in 2005 with about 90,000 miles on the engine. A Missouri Performance Engine Shop did the rebuild to Ram Air 3 Specs with Ram Air 3 Camshaft. Other performance upgrades include Pro Rebuilt Carburetor ($399) and Ram Air factory headers and ultimate exhaust kit ($740.00) The engine starts right up on the automatic choke with an awesome rumble. The big V8 performs flawlessly, carries 60-80 pounds of oil pressure with no smoke and no leaks. Take a look at the engine bay images... all correct hoses, hose clamps, fittings, and even factory decals are correct. The air conditioning system is complete and works perfectly... my meticulous friends even restored the original California Evap Emission System... AMAZING! The Interior:The matching blue interior of this GTO is nearly flawless. The dash and dash pad are perfect! All the lights and switches work perfectly including the A/C and all of the power windows. All the gauges work perfectly except the odometer is stuck. The center console is excellent, the headliner is superb, the front buckets and rear bench have no noticeable wear and the blue carpeting is nice as well. The front passenger floor mat could use a cleaning. The sport steering wheel and horn button are excellent. The interior has two non stock upgrades... they are an under dash Air Fuel Ratio Gauge ($200) these gauges are an excellent tool when tuning a vintage muscle car, and the stock AM radio was upgraded to stereo with I-pod compatibility by S&M Electro Tech ($430)... this upgrade is invisible and the I-pod connector cable is accessed through the ash tray... very nicely done. The Transmission:The automatic transmission received a complete rebuild in July of 2006. The transmission shifts crisply and handles all the torque of the big V8 with no leaks or evidence of slippage. The Trunk:The trunk is in excellent stock condition with no evidence of corrosion or damage. Stock spare tire, jack, and hold down hardware are present as well as jacking instruction decals. Trunk seal is in great condition. The Chassis:Take a look at the photos... a rust and damage free frame, new fuel tank, new free flow exhaust, new shocks, springs, sway bars, and brakes, four new PMD wheels and 4 very nice BF Goodrich TA Radials. The car drives and handles like a new car. The Flaws:The only two flaws in this car were mentioned earlier, minor stress cracking in the paint only on the front rubber bumper at the hood and the odometer is stuck. The Conclusion:This is a show quality, numbers matching, highly documented 1970 Pontiac GTO which was originally delivered to West Oaks Pontiac in Thousand Oaks, CA. It could use a good detailing and a fresh tank of gas. This vintage GTO is nice enough that I would not hesitate to enter it in any National Car Show, it is also road worthy and ready to enjoy as is.I have many more images that I will gladly share with any serious buyer. I will also try to answer any questions you may have. I take my 100% customer satisfaction rating very seriously and I will help any way I can. Contact me: [email protected] GTO is also listed For Sale locally, thus I reserve the right to end this auction early if a local buyer is found.
