1969 Pontiac GTO Carousel Red / Parchment 428ci Turbocharged / Intercooled / Fuel Injected / Well over 500hp. This is an older build that was drag raced often, the previous owner told me it would run low 11's on street tires. It now has a loud engine knock, I don't know if it's a rod knock or piston slap or maybe both. It runs and drives ok but it definitely needs the lower end repaired. The engine code is A139 YH built January 13 1969 and it's a 428ci The heads are 6X-8 Modifications include: Precision Turbo PTB505-6765 A/R.86 Intercooler 24"x12"x3.25" core Edelbrock Fuel Injection, Throttle Body and Intake Manifold Accell DFI Thruster Engine Management System MSD Blaster Digital 6A Ignition Control MSD Pro-Billet Distributor Competition Engineering Fuel Tank Sump Flow Master Mufflers SSBC High Performance Disc Brakes on Front and Rear As I understand the recent history of this GTO, the previous owner bought it from a Specialty Car dealer in 2010 for $14,000. At the time the car was mostly original, over the next couple of years an additional $20,000 in parts and labor was spent to make this one of the fastest GTO's in South Florida. It is now in need of some restoration including major engine work. Runs and Drives great with plenty of power. The period correct casting on the motor ensure that is it a 1965 389. Exterior is in great shape and shows extremely well. All door panels are in excellent condition. The dash shows no wear or cracks, all gauges are working. The seats are in great shape as well, the foam is in great shape and holds you well. All window cranks operate as they should with no slipping. Custom Kick Panels were added for sound. The Original radio is in place and does not turn on. All wood around the dash is in great shape. The vintage air setup looks great as well, The GTO floormats really set off the interior. The headliner is in excellent shape as well. Overall a very nice interior. Exterior: The Exterior shows very well, Bumpers look to be original and have a great shine to them. The Headlight buckets are in great shape along with all the panel gaps. It is a solid car. This is a rare paint code and it really catches everyones eye while you roll down the highway. All glass is original and in good shape. The Coker Red line tires look great and really add a nice touch. The signature “GTO” dual cut exhaust tips look and sound great. Overall the exterior is very nice and is rated at a 7 out of 10 on our end, showing very minor imperfections throughout. Please take a moment tho go through our very detailed photo gallery. Drivetrain: This originally was a 4 barrel car from factory, but thankfully it was converted to Tri-Power! This car BOOGIES! runs very very strong and needs nothing in terms of mechanicals. Clutch grabs great, no funny sounds in the drivetrain. There are no rattles in this suspension. The whole front end was gone through with new bushings, it handles great. Another great feature is the SSBC Disk brake conversion up front! It stops on a dime. This is a great addition for someone that may want to enjoy it as a daily driver. This car sounds amazing, with stainless dual exhaust all the way to the rear of this goat. The rear end is Limited slip and it operates as it should. PRESENTING A 1965 PONTIAC GTO PRO STREET 2DR COUPE I have had THIS car since 2006 my original plan was to make it more of a weekend driver ..I have done several changes First Engine it is a 1969 400 cubic inch with Tri Power (3 carburetors) has headers electronic ignition race cam ..I have replaced all new exhaust (not headers),, rebuilt carburetors replaced fuel pump and water pump, also fuel pump regulato,r heavy duty Battery, all new plugs and cables also replaced entire clutch. It is a 4 speed on the floor, front brakes are disc brakes, Interior all new upholstery with carpeting, all side panels with new hardware, new headliner, previous owner removed back seat and fuel tank has fuel cell in trunk, outside new shocks, new tires, and chrome wheels all new rubber weather insulation windows and doors. .Car has never been raced since I have owned it ..Engine runs very well just recently I'm hearing a very slight engine noise on low end My mechanic said it is a $ 500 to $ 1000 repair. .Same mechanic has done all work on car. EXTERIOR - Overall Condition of this vehicle on a scale of 1-1- is a 7 on the exterior. No rust, minor crease on front left bumper. New Shocks Around, new tires, new wheels. INTERIOR - Condition on inside interior on a scale of 1-10 is a 9. All new carpeting, new headliner, all seats have been completely re-done. All door panels re-done, all hardware is new.
