Up for sale is a GENUINE, REAL DEAL, GTO CONVERTIBLE. Not a clone! I have all the PHS documentation on this car in pdf. The original color is the highly sought after Nightwatch Blue. This is an original 4 speed, 389, 4BBL, Convertible. I have the original 4BBL carb and manifold, but the car currently has a correct 1965 Factory Tripower carb and intake on it. The car is a 1965, and the WT block has the correct markings on the front but the marking on the back is 1966. Some might claim that it could be a late 1965 car with an early 1966 motor, but I cannot represent it as a numbers matching car. I am the third owner of the car and I cannot get in touch with the first owner. The second owner bought the car under the premise that everything was numbers matching, but my research tells me enough that I will not represent it as such. The original color combination is Nightwatch Blue, with black interior and black top. Previous owner has primered the car and put a white top on it for some reason. Car was stripped to bare metal and epoxy primer applied to prevent any rust. This car is SOLID AS A ROCK, with a ton of extras. It also RUNS AND DRIVES! I bought it, took it to a shop and had some brake work done on it then brought it home to begin my project. I bought it with the intentions of modernizing it with new drivetrain, fuel injection, automatic tranny, 4 way disc brakes, etc... When my car enthusiast clients saw it, they said it would be a crime to bastardize it. I own a vintage bike restoration business in Delaware, called C4 Labs, and I have on many occasions sent bikes back to the owners and refused to restore them because they need to remain original. Several guys have told me that this car needs to be done as original as possible, and I can appreciate that in my line of work. This is not a budget project car. It is a real deal GTO, not a Tempest or Lemans clone. It is a Convertible, 4 speed car with a ton of extras and numbers that make it a true Nightwatch Blue. It runs and drives and can be a few thousand away from a great cruise night car, or can legit be a ridiculous show car with the right work. I am happy to ship it with an as-is sale at the buyers expense, but would love for someone to come here and see it in person and go over it inch-by-inch. Title in hand and ready to go. Deposit required within 48 hours. No disappointments. I really want to get this car into the right hands, but if I can't, I will just have to do the retro-mod build with it that I originally intended to do. I would much rather buy a car more suitable for it though. Check my feedback and buy with confidence.
