1965 PONTIAC GTO This listing is for an estate, 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible. It was purchased by the current owner in 1997 and restored in 1998. The vehicle's top and interior were restored along with some of the body trim. It may need a new starter (though it starts) and drives. The car will sometimes die in idle. It has a wonderful V-8 hum, runs well but could probably use an engine tuning. It has recently had engine fluids replaced, including oil. It is neither concourse queen nor a vehicle in need of any major work. It is in very good condition and wants to be driven. GTO is a racing term for a car with an enclosed body rather than a roadster. The "O" was added signifying that enough have been built to qualify them for racing as a regular production vehicle rather than as a prototype or concept vehicle. For sale is a 2005 Pontiac GTO. This car has the RARE SAP (Sport Appearance Package) Front bumper and the SAP rocker panels. It is Torrid Red in color and has custom air brushed paint on the hood. The car has a blown engine. The #6 & 7 cylinder have broken connecting rods and there is a hole in the block. The heads, intake, throttle body are all missing. Everything under the hood is included. K&N cold air intake, ECM, Engine Wiring Harness, fuel injectors, fuel rail, valley cover, timing cover, harmonic balancer, a/c compressor, lines, alternator and bracket, power steering pump and setup, oil pan setup, etc. The cooling fans, radiator, and condensor are in the trunk and were not pictured but are included. The exhaust system is completely custom and sounds awesome. It consists of 1 3/4" Coated SLP Long tube headers to a custom 3" true dual system with X-pipe, flowmaster mufflers, and removable tail pipes with custom resonators and black tips (looks sweet on torrid red cars). The car has 19" TSW nurburgring wheels with michelin super sport 255/40zr19 tires (tires all have 75% tread left). The Transmission is an automatic 4L65e and it is still in the car and included. This car has been adult owned (owners have all been in their 40's and 50's) and garaged most of its life in Idaho and Colorado (the first 2 years were in Michigan). The car is equipped with the W40 40th anniversary package which included unique Pulse Red paint, grey gauge faces, and red stitching on the seats. There were 794 Pulse Red W40 edition GTOs produced at the end of the 2004 production run. It was supposed to be a 40th Anniversary edition, but it was never marketed. This GTO is 100% stock except for the addition of the appearance package inset grilles on the front (the original grilles will be included.) The car is mechanically sound and needs nothing. Current mileage is 60,925 this will likely go up a small amount as I drive it on nice days. 1969 Pontiac GTO (a real one with full PHS docs) Original 400cid engine was rebuilt a few years ago it has about 3000 miles on it. Selling to buy a minivan.....yep....cool muscle car to dual sliding, 8 passenger box....(I am open to trading for a late model Honda Odyssey touring with less than 50k miles) The good:Black paint is shiny and gets lots of thumbs up when it's out. Always stored in garage. There are only 2 small bubbles (see pictures). Car was originally a darker green color, good color change done about 15 years ago. (all jams, detailed, hard to find evidence of color change and who wants a green car!)underside of car is all original with no rust. Gotta love dry Colorado!Black interior in excellent condition, no rips tears or stains on anything. Has shoulder beltsDash is in excellent conditionAll gauges work (unplugged the oil gauge, it started leaking inside. 1966 GTO Family Owned Nearly 49 Years My father factory special ordered this GTO on the 16th of April in 1966. It was Built on the 18th of May and my father drove it down our driveway on the 21st of May 1966, I was waiting for my father to come home and still remember him as he turned down our driveway for the first time! 1966 GTO Tri-Power Automatic It has the Original Drivetrain Including Starter and Alternator Engine and trans have been completely rebuilt. The car has had a complete frame off restoration and has been painted in the original Palmetto Green Color I have the Original Title as well as a Duplicate in the same names, so you can keep the original, I also have the original purchase order, 30 day tags, most of the original license plates, all of the registrations, repair receipts, two folders worth to include letters to dealerships getting the best price for the car order! Notebooks of our bi-yearly cross country trips to include fuel stops, cost, gallons, mileage, our hotel stops, some receipts and a 1966 AAA map highlighted showing our cross country routes! I keep finding more! I have a few pictures of our documented cross country trips that also show the license plate numbers and my family, including the GTO behind my brother and I with the go-kart in 1967. Moving overseas and can't take it with me--- RESTORATION DETAILS: The Radiator has the original HD tanks with a new staggered 5 row core, original radiator cap and lower radiator hose! The cooling fan is the larger HD aluminum 7 blade clutch type. New heater core. ENGINE DETAILS: The original engine has been bored .030 oversize using TRW forged pistons, an oval dish has been machined to lower the compression to 9.8:1, the pistons also have a Thermal Barrier applied to the tops. Piston rings are "Total Seal" Gapless second, moly top ring. The crank is a 421 piece that has been machined to fit the original unmodified block. The crank assembly has also been balanced. I still have the original std. never turned Arma Steel crank . The original 093 heads have been completely rebuilt using all new guides, all new TRW valves, hardened valve seats, new screw in studs, 3 angle valve job, pocket ported, new pushrods, all original rocker arms and nuts! Camshaft is a Pontiac Tri-Power cam Starter and alternator are the originals and have been rebuilt. Transmission is the original ST-300 Turbo Hydramatic that has been rebuilt with new clutches, Kevlar band and shift kit Driveshaft has new vintage GM Saginaw u-joints and has the original driveshaft and yoke Differential is the original Safe-T-Track 3:55 ratio with new axle bearings and all new seals The cover has never been removed and still has the original whale oil in it! Body and Frame: Have been completely disassembled and media blasted clean (see pictures) All tie rods, ball joints, center link, idler arm, front springs and shocks, bushings have been replaced with Moog parts and Polygraphite bushings. All new fuel, brake lines, fuel tank and sending unit Brake Shoes: are the Kevlar and Ceramic, by Muscle Car Brakes. Unbelievable stopping power! All weatherstrips, window channel and track felts replaced, vent window, trunk, and door rubber seals replaced. Floor soundproofing and carpets replaced.
