This has been an unbelievably reliable car. I've been the only owner. The local dealer ordered the car for me from the factory in March, 2001.I'm a mechanic, and whenever the car has needed repairs, I've done most of the work. I've done every oil change (I never go to a shop for oil changes). For most of the car's life I've used Red Line Synthetic oil with K&N oil filter. Recently, since Red Line oil has been so expensive, for the last couple of oil changes I've used Mobile 1 synthetic. I've never used conventional oil. I've also only used high-octane gas from Chevron, Shell, or 76 (I never use cheap gas). Also in the pictures you can see that it's got a full-size spare tire, with a wheel that matches all the other wheels. I bought this because I personally detest using the small doughnut spare that comes in the trunk. The most recent work I've done on the car: - Replaced the front brakes with Centric rebuilt calipers, Power Stop drilled and slotted rotors, and Bendix ceramic brake pads- 4 new tires, 2 Dunlop Direzza in the front, 2 Capitol Sport UHP in the back. (The reason I didn't get 4 Dunlops at the time was because the shop only had the 2 Dunlops and 2 Capitols. Weird, I know, but I needed the tires so I couldn't wait for 2 more Dunlops to be ordered)- Ignition coil housing, plus coils and spark plugs - water outlet housing- thermostat- heater hoses- upper radiator hose- cat converter- fuel pressure regulator- oil pressure sensor- transmission oil All of these things have been replaced within the last year. One issue the car has is that the "Service Vehicle" and "Trac Off" lights turn on (but NOT the "Check Engine" light). This is a common problem with late-model Grand Ams, due to the speed sensor in the driver-side front hub assembly. I've replaced the hub assembly 3 times, which keeps the lights turned off for several months, but for whatever reason, as these cars age, this continues to happen. The car drives fine, and the ABS works. I personally haven't seen any further residual issues as a result. You'll see in the pictures that there's an image of the "Service Vehicle" and "Trac Off" lights lit.Another issue is that the windshield washer hoses are cracked, so it empties the washer fluid faster. I just haven't taken the time to replace the hoses. Everything else works, and the sunroof seals nicely with no leaks. There is no rust, no dents or dings, and the paint and interior upholstery are in great shape. I've kept the car waxed, and I've applied Armor All to the dash. It's got a brand-new front dash and rear deck carpet cover. As you can see in the pictures, the driver seat has a heavy seat cover on it, which matches the color of the rest of the interior. I've always kept the driver seat covered, so the driver seat upholstery is in excellent condition. It's been a great car, very loved and cared for. If you have any questions or would like any other pictures, feel free to send me a message. One other thing to note: I selected "power seat" as an option - the driver seat is vertically power-adjustable. The rest of the seat functions are manual. Shipping is the buyer's responsibility, but I'm happy to meet the auto-transport driver and make sure the car gets loaded onto the truck. I can also take pictures of the car once it's on the truck, and send the pictures to you. Just let me know if that's something you want. :)
