I have an extremely nice 1969 Pontiac Firebird for sale. This car is in mostly original condition with 64,5XX original miles and it is in excellent condition. It has the original 350 ci motor and 350 transmission. The motor runs great and the transmission shifts perfectly. A little background on this car. It belonged to a local older woman and her husband bought it for her about 8 or 9 years ago from Oswalt's Mustangs in South Carolina. It was on consignment from a collector in North Carolina who was selling his entire collection. The car had 63,659 miles on it then. (It now has 64,500 miles on it now). She passed away recently and I purchased the car. They were personal friends and they mainly just took the car to car shows. At the time I was the president of the local car club and that's how I first saw the car. While they owned it they had the Vintage air conditioner system placed on it and it works great! The car has always been stored inside. When I purchased the car I did a little research and spoke to the owner of Oswalt's Mustangs and he informed me that the car belonged to a collector he knew in North Carolina (It was his wife's car) and it was the original motor, transmission and mileage. He told me the collector had the transmission rebuilt and it has seen one repaint. I have many pictures that are still on Oswalt's Mustangs website and one shows the mileage when it was on his showroom. I have included that pic. When I purchased the car 5 months ago I changed all fluids, put new shocks and springs on it. I kept the original springs and the original GM spiral shocks that were still on the car. The transmission was leaking and I recently had it pulled and all seals replaced and professionally serviced. It was discovered that the flywheel was cracked and it was also replaced. There is not a spot of rust anywhere on this car. The underneath also looks great and clean. It rides and drives like a dream. The paint looks great and it is the original color. No dents, no dings, a few very minor scratches. The interior is also in very nice original condition. The tires are older but in excellent condition. The original radio is still there and a Sony CD player has been mounted on the deck in the trunk and a remote is in the center console. I have had this car checked out by 3 different professional mechanics and it is in excellent mechanical condition. (I'm very picky!) Here are the only things I have not addressed on the car: The gas gauge does not work correctly, The oil pan has a very minor leak, and the rear glass windows don't row down smoothly. This car is just simply an excellent car and I'm guessing from the condition that it has been in a garage most of its life. I do not buy to resale and I planned on keeping this car but I'm trying to downsize a little but if this car does not sell it won't hurt my feelings. I'm also trying to sell it at a reasonable price.
