For Sale is my beautiful 1970 Pontiac Catalina on fully adjustable air ride suspension. Please go to Youtube and put '70 Pontiac Catalina Bagged 003 in the search to locate the video of this car in action along with a detailed decription. Please note; in the video I say that the heater core has been removed, it HAS NOT and I also say that the carb needs adjusting, it did not. It was discovered that the plug wire going from the ignition coil to the distributor was bad (the ends were not crimped properly) causing it to hesitate, this has since been replaced with a new pre-made wire and it runs fantastic! and READ DESCRIPTION BELOW prior to contacting me You have two options, option (1) will include the custom 22" Smoothie Wheels and 255/30/22 Pirelli P Zero Nero GT tires. Rims and tires are two months old. Driver rear tire has a small bubble on sidewall (very low profile tires are prone to these), and the passenger front rim has some curb rash. I am in constant contact with the rim builder, and can guide you in the right direction to get the rash cleaned up which is purely cosmetic. The rims are solid aluminum with a polished lip. There was also a circular grove created just slightly larger than the Pontiac caps into the face of the wheel so that the caps are slightly recessed. The studs and lugs were upgraded to Moroso racing style units on all hubs. I have an extra Pontiac cap that will come with this package. To my knowledge, no one has done a rim like this with Pontiac caps, especially east of the Mississippi. They are essentially one offs, and might have been a factory option if they were available with 22" wheels in 1970 ;) I will set the buy it now at the price I'd like to get with the 22"s (roughly $2000 more than option 2) Option (2) will be with the original wheels and hubcaps, with very good condition MileStar Touring Whitewall tires. Only issue is one tire has a plug. Tread is excellent. Look at the included pic to see these wheels on the car prior to all the customization. These will also be included with option (1). With your offer, please indicate which option you are interested in. You will get the car considerably cheaper without the 22" wheels/tires With both options you will get (should you decide to take them or have them shipped with the car), a like new Jegs Pontiac th350 short tail transmission (I purchased this as a backup when I first bought the car) as well as a front disc brake assembly that I pulled from a '69 Catalina (this one has drums on the front and I had planned on doing the conversion eventually). The car; Originally from Western Montana/Northern Idaho, I purchased it from what I believe to be the second owner who lives in Kentucky. He purchased it roughly 3 years ago and had it shipped to him. I acquired the car late summer '14, drove it back the 120miles here to Ohio and shortly after found a guy to bring my vision to reality. (Work began at 84,500 original miles) Top of motor (original 350) rebuilt to factory spec except seats were "hardened" so I no longer have to use lead additive. Motor also painted close to original Pontiac Blue New spark plugs/wires Original Rochester 2bbl carb rebuilt New fuel pump New Interstate AGM battery (was $275!) New Powermaster 140 amp alternator Newer Goodyear gatorback belts Transmission; Original th350. Had transmission resealed which included; Pump O ring, front pump seal, kick down cable seal, linkage seal, rear tail shaft seal, modulator, pan gasket and new filter/fluid of course. A new torque converter was installed as well. Body; all rust cut out and new metal welded in. Some very small spots of filler. Body/Rim color is "Kiwi Metallic Green" similar to a 2010 Ford Color (Taurus, Escapes etc). Original color was a dark green. Doorjambs and underside of trunk lid and hood painted as well. Mid body trim removed as well as the fender badges. All chrome/badging on the car is original. Paintjob not the greatest. Some runs, chipping, and other blemishes are present. Front grille has two small indentations and rear bumper has damage as well (all present before I purchased the car). Brand new Air ride system; 2600 bags, two Viair 444c compressors, 8 valves, 5 gallon tank, wired 7 switch remote. Airbag fittings (threads) will have to be resealed with teflon tape because the guy who installed it used liquid sealant and there are leaks at the fittings. All components themselves are fine and brand new as already mentioned. Koni front shocks, newer rear shocks (might be Koni but not for sure) New Avital 2 way alarm Pioneer under-dash CD player, new Pioneer 6.5" front speakers, new Pioneer 6x9" rear speakers. Speakers will have to be wired straight to CD player as they are currently wired to the amplifiers in the trunk which will be removed and not included in sale. Original interior in excellent condition. A slight bit of thread fraying on the passenger side of the front bench seat and rear deck needs reupholstering. No wear in the seats, no cracks in the dash, headliner in great condition besides a few slight marks (no holes just surface marks 1 maybe 2). Carpet is in pretty good shape, just a bit of discoloration from where the rubber mats are. I've never actually detailed the interior during my ownership, but I still get compliments on it's condition. Things that may need attention; muffler moved back to factory location (previous owner relocated it just under the passenger side of the car next to the transmission for some odd reason) Air ride fittings on top of bags sealed (as mentioned above) Passenger rear tire replaced at some point (as mentioned above) should you elect to go with the deal that includes the 22 inch rims/tires Wheel alignment (not done after air ride was installed) Driver front shock tightened on mount Oil pan replaced (guy who rebuilt motor hit it when re-installing and dented it) see pic. No leakage, and I believe it to be cosmetic. A/C compressor put back on belt/charged (previous owner took off belt system). Not sure why maybe to gain a bit of horsepower which alot of people seem to do. Compressor spins freely. Fuel sending unit fixed (fuel gauge doesn't work). Very common on Pontiac's from this era. Fuel system delivery is fine, and it has a new pump as indicated above. Floor high beam switch does not work (purchased a new one a few months ago that was defective). Low beams and and all other lights work fine. One of the reverse light bulbs needs replacing. Some things here and there that a used 45 year old car would need that is driven and enjoyed! Only BP 93 octane fuel and Valvoline conventional 10w40 has been used in this vehicle I can't go to the grocery store without multiple people stopping me to ask/compliment me about it. I drive it in it's current condition every chance I get! I just got back from a 275 mile round trip to Cleveland and back in her. Car is very unique and everyone loves it including myself. I have entered her in a few car shows and cruise-ins in the past few months, and have won a few trophies as well. Everyone tells me I did a classy job with it, not sloppy or over the top, just right. Everyone slows down and stares at it on the road and freeway, and I can't lie... I love it! It's just time for me to get something more practical. Don't hesitate to shoot me an offer as long as it's reasonable and makes sense, but please do so with funds already in place. You never know, you might send the right figure and I usually respond fairly quickly to all inquiries. You can contact me with any questions anytime at 614-316-7983 or message me through Ebay. Car is located at my residence in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, an eastern suburb of Columbus. I do require an immediate $1000 deposit via Paypal IMMEDIATELY upon auction close, with the balance via Cash (preferably) or certified cashiers check (which will have to clear my bank completely before releasing vehicle). I will also screen prospective buyers throughout the auction, and prefer bidders with lower feedback ratings (50 transactions or less) to provide contact information when submitting a bid. Car sold as-is in described condition, no warranties, returns, or refunds. I have invested thousands in this car with pride, and I take the sale of it very seriously, I ask that you do as well. Thank you.
